51 As I've said before about these things - no, it isn't art. This a guy using paint to make a graphic design.

It's an interesting (if pointless) technical exercise - using a brush and canvas to do what would've been more efficiently (at the time) done with paper, ink, knives, glue, and printing plates.

And, FTM, it's not even a very nice graphic design.

Also, no trees, no sniper... no sale.

The US Attorney, Robert Hur, is a former aide of rosenstein. Wasn't the CF was supposed to be reviewed via US A Huber? I don't think that is verification that there is a GJ empaneled, just that RR's puppet used boiler plate verbiage to attempt to keep it sealed. However, would not be surprised if Hur did empanel a GJ to go after the whistle blower, Cain, for some crime to keep the information about the Clintons hidden.

Reality at the moment is grim and gets people upset, so just a 1,000-ft takeaway: no veto pen in sight for the CR. Trump says military will build the wall if needed. Meaning no serious confrontation over funding, again. My prediction.

Very minor side note: amusingly, some continue to believe Graham's useless and curiously timed sudden shows of seriousness on this topic are real, and not entirely cyclical/tactical.

And court case JJ noted in morning summary really very encouraging. Again, principles of standing completely tossed out/reinvented to make the case exist at all, and again, court is involved in policy review, not judicial review. And DOJ still shows no signs of changing this now established pattern of courts usurping even tactical control of border security operations - still no demand for emergency review of circuit order blocking asylum procedure changes.

178 Kandinsky, Rothko, and others of their ilk, saw a resurgence of interest in their paintings during the heyday of psychedelic drug use in the 60's. You can find meaning and importance in anything when you are tripping. That's why Lennon was smitten by Yoko. He was pretty much tripping all the time when he first encountered her. Once he stopped using so many drugs, their marriage ran into difficulty. Lennon would have left, but he liked the idea of being a modern Romeo symbol. It's bad for the narrative when you divorce your soul mate.

207 146: That's what you said about Sessions, and it was false. You're also the one who directed me to Horowitz' thrilling Fast and Furious report (the one that attributed the whole affair to inadequate supervision and exonerated Holder) as proof of the great goodness of Horowitz. Trump said "I have no AG", and he was right, he's not making up some cloak and dagger bullshit. When he states that he's no fan of Roddy, I suspect he means it. The alternative is that he's allowing the Clintons, Stzroks, Pages, McCabes and Comeys of the world to remain above the law.

There is no Q-like "plan" happening behind the scenes. Q types have merely created a sort of intellectual valium to lull the people into believing that there are "black hat/white hat" intrigues going on and that we must wait for "the right time".

Maybe that BOT character will now show up and start name calling, LOL. The bloom is off the "silent executioner" rose, Jack.

How was I wrong about Sessions? I said he appointed a US Attorney named Huber to investigate the Clinton Foundation and other issues related to the 2016 election. He did. I also said about 8 months ago there was a grand jury in DC hearing evidence. There was and is.

Even Mark Meadows, one of the most virulent anti-DOJ people in Congress, finally came out last night and said yes, there is an FBI investigation and has been for some time. Because there is.

I've said this over and over, the DOJ when it is being run properly does not leak and does not talk about ongoing investigations. They haven't been but they are beginning to now. Huber is going to Congress to testify about what he has been up to for the last year. Do you think he's going to say he's been doing nothing?

Something a little more cheering than a) recent news and 2) that picture.

The Official AoSHQ Classical Music Playlist (TM) has been revised and extended:

http://soyaraborzoi.com/Playlist.htm (link also in nic)

It now comprises 1200 works by 500 different composers, from Renaissance to contemporary and genres from orchestral to vocal to choral to instrumental to concertos to chamber.

It includes almost not only all of the old familiar warhorses but also many unfamiliar and, perhaps, delightful discoveries. On the whole, the pieces are 25 minutes or less, but some few longer works were added (Beethoven's 5th and 7th symphonies, Mozart's 40th and 41st, the Schumann piano concerto, the Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings, the Hanson Romantic symphony). Some minor rearranging was done and some solecisms removed.

I'm not a musician and not even particularly musical, but I've been a listener for nearly 50 years. I gave it up for Lent last year and it was the hardest six weeks I've ever spent. At a time we're surrounded and besieged by so much lunacy, it's comforting and educational to turn to some of the highest accomplishments of Western civilization, however much they're disparaged by the idiots as the product of dead white males.

So, again, I'd like to make this available to the Horde. Just send me an e-mail at monsalvat 61 at g mail dot com (remove spaces and add symbols) and I'll mail you a flash drive with these files, suitable for playing on your computer or in your car (which is where I do most of my listening).

I think those who received the previous version of this playlist will testify to the level of quality I tried to maintain.

No charge. My treat. You folks are the only friends, apart from Her Majesty, that I have.

Or it could be something as simple as evidence chain of custody. Hur's comments about why they wanted to secure the documents and prevent them from public exposure right now when they are part of a larger, ongoing investigation, would seem to indicate that it is not about Cain and he hasn't been arrested or charged.

I kind of like the scent of skunk at a sufficient distance. Even if you're not out in nature it's a reminder of nature. From, like, a mile away.

It even reminds me of the skunk cabbages from the salamander streams of my youth.

But a few years ago the dog -- the extremely furry dog -- took a direct skunk hit right in the chest. It was not at all like that vague hint of skunk on a summer night. It was chemical warfare.

It made me cry and choke and gag and the dog didn't understand why she had to stay outside for a week.

We are caught in the grips of an amalgam of Huxley/Orwell's conception of a dystopian future.

Orwell imagined a boot stomping on a face forever.

Huxley imagined a world where the masses are given exactly what they wanted and stupefied into going with the flow.
