Prosecutors Looking Into the Podesta Group?

The Podesta Group had the same foreign clients as Paul Manafort, and likewise did not register, as the law requires, as a foreign agent.

Is Mueller actually looking into them, even if just to "make it look good," or is he trying to find out what they heard about Random Trump Flunkie #8?

Federal prosecutors have recently resumed interviewing witnesses in an investigation of two lobbying firms that worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, including one operated by the brother of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
According to The Associated Press, prosecutors in New York have in recent weeks started contacting witnesses and attorneys as part of an investigation into the Podesta Group and Mercury Public Affairs.
The two firms worked with Manafort through 2014 on a consulting project aimed at fluffing the public image of former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.
Prosecutors have also focused on Greg Craig, the former White House general counsel under then-President Barack Obama and a former partner at the firm Skadden Arps. CNN reported in September that prosecutors were weighing charges against Craig, who has since left his firm.

According to court filings submitted in Manafort’s case, the Podesta Group and Mercury Public Affairs failed to register as foreign agents of Ukraine despite knowing that they were working on behalf of Yanukovych.
And at Skadden Arps, Craig helped craft a report aimed at smearing one of Yanukovych’s political rivals.

She opened it up. It was a single folded sheet of paper. About 4 x6. She held it about two inches away from her face and hurriedly put it away, without bringing it to Bill's attention. The Carters saw her envelope and flipped through their own bulletins to see if they had envelopes also. It looked like it could have been an invitation card, but there was nothing written on the outside of the envelope.

I've mentioned here that a friend of mine - a Japanese national - has some friends coming from Japan who want to visit the Reagan Presidential Library this weekend. My friend reached out to me late yesterday because she'd called the Library to reserve tickets, and no one had answered the phone. She was worried that it had been affected by one of the recent fires.

After reassuring her that was not the case (for one thing, it would have made the news), I thought about it for a bit. Then I finally realized what had likely happened. The Library observes Federal holidays. And yesterday was an impromptu Federal holiday due to the Bush funeral. So the reason why no one answered the phone was likely because everyone at the Library had the day off.
