Politico: Of Course Bush's Funeral Was All About Trump. Everything With Us Shriveled DC Obsessives Is Always About Trump. He Gives Purpose to Our Empty Useless Lives.

I will certainly say that some passive-aggressive feminine men consider it an "art" to attack someone passive-aggressively, with plausible deniability, with deceit.

Why this sort of sneaky, bitchy dishonest attack should be considered A Higher Form of Insult than honestly telling someone you have a problem with them, I don't know.

But these guys are full of rage, and yet afraid to take a hit. I notice Bill Kristol thinks his passive-aggressive shit is very elevated, indeed.

The service was replete with praise for the 41st president that could, with just the slightest nudge of interpretation, be heard as implied rebuke of the 45th president. But only implied, never explicit--this, unlike almost everything else in American politics today, was not about Donald Trump.

And yet it very much was. Speakers rhapsodized about Bush's natural good cheer and optimism; his willingness to share credit and accept blame; his preference for self-deprecating humor; his gift for personal diplomacy; his loyalty to friends when they were down; his talent at assembling international coalitions; his mistrust of "unthinking partisanship"; his inaugural address in which he said that Americans must judge our lives by kindness to friends and neighbors rather than the pursuit of "a bigger car, a bigger bank account"; his commitment to truth and to living up to the obligations of a "gentleman."

Who wouldn't admire these traits? Or expect that any president should try to emulate them?

Did the Elder Bush eat a dog, or refrain from eating a dog?

Because Obama ate a dog.

To be political while sounding apolitical is a lost art in contemporary times, and it would be hard for President Trump to claim injury because his name was never mentioned. President George W. Bush--who, like his father, broke with his party in not supporting Trump--swerved skillfully around that by starting his remarks by thanking "distinguished guests" and then, with seeming emphasis, adding "including our presidents and first ladies" but mentioning none of them by name.

Oh shut the fuck up, you sissy.

Michelle Malkin called out the press for this passive-aggressive, femmy-bitchy habit of degradation disguised as "elevation:"

The Washington Post's lead article on Bush's passing bemoaned: "'Honorable, gracious and decent': In Death, Bush Becomes a Yardstick for President Trump." Yes, it's a virtue-signaling yardstick to wallop Trump with in hopes of beating him into Beltway media submission.

Over at CNN, correspondent Jamie Gangel derided Trump’s somber visit to the U.S. Capitol to pay his respects as Bush 4'’s casket arrived at the rotunda to lie in state. Gangel trashed Trump's ceremonial salute to Bush as "theatrical" and rejected veteran Beltway commentator David Gergen’s assessment that Trump deserved credit for his decorum.

"I'm concerned that we shouldn't give credit to someone for not kicking dirt on the grave of a person who just passed away," said Jeffery Engel, rebuking Gergen during an interview with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. (Yes, that’s the same Cooper who demonstrated his commitment to civil discourse by infamously mocking Tea Party conservatives by using a degrading slang term for an oral-sex act -- also in an interview with poor David Gergen.)

Let’s stop pretending and give the historical whitewash a rest. This isn’t about celebrating "civility.” It's about weaponizing "civility.'

2 Simple question for a Democrat. Name three Republicans currently in office who you think are good people. You can't name RINOs like Collins, Flake, or Corker.

Posted by: pep at December 06, 2018 07:31 PM (T6t7i)

3 That last section, can pretty much boil down to "Whatever Trump does is wrong." If he salutes, it's wrong because he didn't serve. If he doesn't salute then he's not showing proper respect. If he's shown as being serious and not laughing much then he's just being too serious and not engaging with everyone else. If he's laughing and smiling with people then he's not taking this moment seriously enough and insulting H.W.

Here's the lead from the AP's hit piece on Trump:

"There was no mistaking the odd man out.

Wednesday's
funeral service for former President George H. W. Bush served as a rare
reunion of the remaining members of the president's club, but the front
row banter among Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter and their
spouses came to an uneasy end when President Donald Trump and wife
Melania arrived.

The encounter was a real-time illustration of the
uneasy ties between the current occupant of the White House and his
predecessors, suggesting Trump as a member-in-name-only of the Oval
Office fraternity....

Trump gave the two Obamas a handshake
before taking his seat in Washington's National Cathedral without
greeting the others. Hillalry Clinton nodded at Melania Trump but then
stared straight ahead."

Let's see if Pixy let's me post this without screwing it up too much.

Drunk at night, absolutely not. They are a "I'll take care of you next time" lot, usually broke.

But daywalkers usually tip okay and make lots of comments about how unfair my job is, that I should be paid more.

If they have a soy attached to them, he usually tips well because she makes sure he does so. They usually like to point out that they tipped well though.

86 That's right Trump is not a narcissist. Egotists *do* things that will make them feel better about themselves, narcissists don't actually need to *do* anything.

It would be a mistake to say that Trump has no ego. He does, but he also wants to feel that he deserves his own appreciation. So he *does* stuff.

Once Trump leaves office, what will the symptoms of their withdrawal look like? I doubt the MSM/Left has given much thought to any of these questions, but I doubt their dependence on a sustained, cult-like hatred of Trump can be good for them (or the country) in the long term.

the only thing I remember clearly from the inside of the bar that night is that some time towards the end of the night he gave us both something called a 57 chevy. he may as well have taken us out into the street and hit us with one.

eventually we were in parking lot with his girlfriend who was trying to get us a cab. she found some guy walking by and she said "I will give you $10 to watch these two while I go get a cab." Then I chimed in "$10 I will give you $20 to watch us." She did not appreciate that.

146 76,
There are ways to cover your tracks if you wish to all but full on Counterintel NSA types. Even there, there are ways.

See Proton Mail for example on email.
Encrypt your harddrive and use https instead of http
See the various services for VPN's
See proxying your IPs and spoof them, change your MAC ids, spam what op system you are using etc.
See something like DuckDuckGo for searches.
Use different browsers for different purposes.
Use a blackberry for a phone and text or a series of burner type phones.
Use security by obscurity using old equipment and old OS systems forgotten by most hackers (cough OS/2 for example).
If you are really paranoid, you can use translator type programs to translate posts to a foreign language and then back to English which tends to mess up any patterns in your comms.
Put junk mispellings in your online form filling so you can track who sells your stuff to who. Use PO boxes instead of physical addresses. For the paranoid, put all real property into a trust with non-obvious trust names.

Me, I'm too lazy to do so but I am aware of how to do the stuff because I grew up in an age that most of the current tech was developed.

The story is that the more pervasive the stuff is, the harder it is to track everyone except by machines which are only as good as their algorithms. Be the gray man and fade into the background.

Stay away from Google and its products, Amazon, Yahoo, etc. unless you sup with a long spoon.

Most people value their convenience over privacy but it can be protected even now.

That was 4 beers and two shooters.

163 On a $27 tab what would you say would be a good tip?

Personally I tip $1 per drink whether it's a $2 happy hour domestic beer or a $7 mixed drink. So if that $27 was comprised of 5 or 6 drinks, then yea $3 is low. But if it was a couple of expensive mixed drinks, doesn't sound so bad.

Socialism has never been practiced. It's in the sequence.

They always get stuck on the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Socialists always assume that the Dictatorship of the Proletariat will be led by some commie version of Cincinnatus who'll just say "OK, then, I've been dictator long enough. The MSM is not "marginalizing" itself. The basic framework of all important public issues is still 100% determined by them. What they ignore/suppress/explain away (take, for example, the complex of enormous, breath-taking, historically unprecedented abuse of power scandals involving the last president, the DOJ, the FBI, and the IC - which to this minute are only vaguely familiar, if that, to most Americans).

If that's not discouraging enough, enjoy the new Congress. No party has ever entered a mid-term with worse fundamentals ..... and the Dems had historic gainzzzz. Yeah yeah several wheels turning in that one, but a big one is still a thorough, increasingly extreme, distortion of "news" to the point that most citizens have no real idea what is going on.

I'm cautiously optimistic for the first time in a long, long while. At least she isn't getting any worse.

I would love to see Marc Short's and Gen. Kelly's memos or briefings to Trump on the "strategy" involved here (Short is head of WH legislative liaison).

And I wonder if the reported candidate for new AG has *any* awareness of what a dumpster fire the DOJ and FBI are now - in the eyes of any serious and informed citizen, that is. Director Wray was beyond parody as a clueless silk-stocking big firm lawyer - see his comments about the FBI's intern program and recruiting after the (itself scandalous) IG report came out. Will *any* GOP member of Judiciary even ask about the greatest scandals in DOJ history?

That is also a quality image worth saving.
Some creative artist type person should be able to make a meme out of it.

243 Yudhishthira's Dice: "If I ever appear at a MoMe like this, I permit - nay, implore - you CO Morons to beat me to death with a champagne bottle..."

If you're being served champagne at a MoMe, it's a trap. Run away! It's Valu-Rite or it's piss.

244 180 I love how progs and the media (BIRM) keep calling PDT a narcissist, when they witnessed the dog eater in full bloom for eight endless years.

No Caliban, the relevant thing in that election was that such a
spectacularly stupid, failed, criminal, sociopathic non-entity as
Clinton could come so close to winning. Trump is president thanks to a
veritable handful of votes in 3 key states.

The press
doesn't win every single match. But they win most of them, and almost
all the others are conducted on ground *they* determine (and invent).

The
public has defied MSM false premises on many key issues for years. That
only translates into results occasionally. Results are all that matter.

248 You say:

It's about weaponizing "civility.'

Get your head out of your fucking ass. It is instead about your Jew buds trying to reprise their role in helping Lenin and Stalin murder 50 million Goyim. But now they intend to do it on a global scale. But keep on suckin' that Jew dick, baby! It looks so quaint dribblin' down your chin like that.
