Trump: I'm Going to Declassify Those Redacted FISA Application Pages That Supposedly Establish My Guilt and Would Result in My Impeachment if the Public Knew About Them
Statement of the Press Secretary At the request of a number of committees of Congress, and for reasons of transparency, the President has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to provide for the immediate declassification of the following materials: (1) pages 10-12 and 17-34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; (2) all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and (3) all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications. In addition, President Donald J. Trump has directed the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation, without redaction, of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.Unredacted. It will show that the overwhelming evidence used to get a FISA warrant on Carter Page and thus to spy on the Trump campaign was the totally unverified Russian dossier and the supporting evidence was news reports that were written by people who were briefed by Steele. In other words, it was a totally circular process that relied on campaign operatives for both the evidence and the backup support.
For a Title 1 warrant to spy on an American citizen and by extension a presidential campaign based on campaign dirt from the opposing candidate.
I have no idea what's in the Comey, McCabe and Ohr texts since they have been entirely hidden but if Trump is releasing them they can't be good for the DOJ/FBI.

It started when the DOJ was in a fight with Congress, about borrowing Secret Service agents to do investigations.
So while Congress was in recess, the President authorized an attorney under the DOJ, to hire some investigators. (Theodore Roosevelt).
Sounds to me like President Trump has a valid Precedent to choose his own investigator, and hire Law Enforcement Agents.

My personal belief is that Trump knew he wasn't in any real danger for a long time. Mostly because he had never done anything. He's had most of this information since last summer so he knew what had happened.
He wanted information to start dribbling out to help people understand what really happened and build a growing demand for him to step in and declassify information. I've been saying for some time that he was going to declassify this stuff after Labor Day as we hit the crucial time of the election cycle.
This is going to be a nut punch for the left who thought Mueller was going to flip Manafort or Cohen or Flynn or somebody for the last year and a half and now it is blowing up in their faces. If this doesn't energize Republicans nothing ever will.

May not be as terrible as we imagine. People who have survived shark attacks often say they felt no pain when the shark bit off their limb, just a lot of pressure. Some said they felt no pain at all until they were rescued from the water. Some didn't even know they'd been attacked by a shark until others told them what had happened.
The guy who died over the weekend may not have known what happened, and he may not have felt any pain. We'll never know for sure, of course, but I hope for his sake that's how it was.

One theory as to why is that the seal population is over protected now by the eco crazies, thus has had an explosion in numbers over the past decade or so and gotten huge and lazy. Easy pickings for sharks. Prefer the same sand banks as humans for resting. Thus more sharks are seen.

It's not so much scientists say this, as statisticians do. And they're correct that the odds of ANY person getting attacked by a shark are very low. That's because most people on Earth don't live on the coast of an ocean! Ask any surfer if they know someone who's been bit by a shark. If they don't, they haven't been surfing very long.

You keep saying this but I get what your point is. Nothing prevents Kav from ruling on every case. I think an appointment after the start of the term isn't even close to unprecedented. He can read the oral arguments. He's probably already read all the briefs, they aren't classified. He decides what case to recuse himself from and I'm betting the answer will be none if the Democrats delay him past the start of the term.

not that they are calculating the odds of being eaten by a shark but that they are excluding attacks because of locations and situation. when a shark comes into shore they consider that a shark coming into a human zone and attacking. when there is a shipwreck and sharks "eat the fuck out of people" they do not include those in the tally because the people were in the shark's zone, so it was not the shark's fault it was the people's.
