In addition, Sanders said, the administration is evaluating clearances for former FBI Director James Comey, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden, former national security adviser Susan Rice, former FBI attorney Lisa Page, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, former FBI counterintelligence agent Peter Strozk, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, whose security clearance was deactivated after he was fired earlier this year, and Bruce Ohr, who is still in the Justice Department although he was demoted from associate deputy attorney general. "More broadly, the issue of Mr. Brennan’s security clearance raises larger questions about the practice of former officials maintaining access to our nation's most sensitive secrets long after their time in government has ended," Sanders said.The former Communist responded on Twitter:

He can still say what he wants, he just can't have access to classified anymore, and if you have a clearance, you sign away your right to speak about classified info to people who a) don't have the same clearance and b) don't have the need to know.
Since he is not working in a position that requires access to classified information, there is no need for him to have a clearance, and in fact, there is every reason why he should NOT have a clearance.

That said, Brennan should've been on the wrong end of a rope ages ago.

Why exiting elected/appointed politicians retain a security clearance is beyond me. I could understand a military officer going into active reserve.
As I recall, Ronnie Bucca retained his security clearance as a Spec Ops Non-com, and did a lot of very good research on Muslim infiltration.
After his death on 9/11, his wife offered this to the FBI. At first, they refused it, and then later accepted it. I think that they wanted to sit on it because of the embarrasing consequences of this coming out and revealing their incompetence.
This all didn't start yesterday, or even under Obama.

Horowitz was originally tasked with looking at the Hillary email investigation. When criminal activity was discovered as part of that investigation including the Flynn indictment and the FISA abuse, Rosenstein expanded his investigation to cover those issues.
It got hardly any media coverage for obvious reasons but it happened nevertheless. And the Strzok/Page texts along with the FISA applications and other documents showed the various abuses that took place.
Trump has known the outline of what happened since Admiral Rogers told him in the fall of 2016 but he went after all of the participants and that required a long and exhaustive investigation which has been carried out by Horowitz and Huber and their teams. What we are seeing now is the ground being laid to bring all of this out.
The vast majority of the public has no idea any of this went on. They have to be brought along slowly because this is a very complex case including multiple agencies within the Obama administration, foreign actors and potentially foreign governments. It is easily the biggest political scandal in US history.
And it appear that they are about to start rolling it all out. Ohr is the last one still employed by the feds of the major players and I expect he will be canned as soon as he is done testifying and not to long after that Horowitz should bring out his report.
And then things get really interesting.

All of those sealed indictments you've been talking about? Has anyone heard about any of that from any other source?
Outside of this site, nobody thinks any of this looks good for Trump. Ask any random person on the street about it and they can tell you about the Trump firings and indictments, and they think it all makes Trump look guilty.
So far, the only thing normal people are getting out of all of this is that the investigation is taking forever, and there isn't a smoking gun yet, but there might be one found soon.

Saying that I have been talking about sealed indictments doesn't bolster the case that people have been paying attention. I have NOT been talking about sealed indictments, that's someone else.
If people haven't notice that the senior levels of the FBI and DOJ have been devastated I don't know what to tell you. I don't think that will be the lead story on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, the NYT or the WaPo.
But the information isn't that hard to find. It's not like I have a top secret clearance. I think people are starting to get the idea that things were not kosher with the Obama administration and the Russia collusion thing was bogus.

I think that the key will be to remind the electorate the issues at stake here. The 2018 State of the Union is a prime example. President Trump went down the list of the Administration and the GOP Congress' achievements up to that point, tax relief, deregulation, etc. - and the Dems sat on their hands, their faces set in stone. The GOP should release campaign videos of the Dem reactions at the SOTU address and then demonstrate the economic success we enjoy today, and that if the Dems are returned to power, they will raise taxes, increase regulation and destroy our economy. Joe Manchin's look to Chuck Schumer for permission to clap for Trump was a hoot, too.

Useful tools. Page had just done a stint for the FIB, so perhaps he was still on the payroll. But that goes against needing a FISA warrant, if he was still on the payroll. It is always difficult to re-engage. I find phasing it in works best. First the fasting, then better food portion control, etc., but not all in one day.
I've been doing 16-17 hour fasts. Routine is key. If you are doing full day fasts, it may be why you are having issues, in fact, I'd bet some Diet Coke on it.
Anyway, hope to spur you on. I feel such relief to be back in the zone.

I would assume talking about highly classified information isn't free speech because it's highly classified and duh and stuff.

i'm mostly doing baby IF, 13 or 14 hour fasts, with some full-day/36 hour fasts to try to speed things up interspersed. I only did two of those.
Again, they were harder than I remembered. Geeze, two days fasts used to be nothin' but a little willpower. It was only four or five day fasts that challenged me. And now doing a 36 hour fast is tough.
Well, not that tough. When I did those, I thought it would be impossible, viewing it as most non-fasters think of going a day and a half without eating, as something that would be super-challenging. But they turned out to be only somewhat difficult. Not really difficult at all past the psychological/I can't do that anymore factor.

I found that completely mystifying. I even asked my doctor about the concept, and he reiterated the common wisdom that long-term ketosis was dangerous and bad for you and indicated that you were starving to death and needed immediate hospitalization.
But then -- due to popular pressure and an explosion of knowledge and awareness from the general public -- ketosis has been rehabilitated, and now is no longer seen as a medical crisis.

I don't know the mechanics of how that happens though. Apparently you can still do it if you have diabetes but you've got to clear it with your doctor (?) and do additional stuff so you don't keel over.

I think it's important to remember that the DOJ always used to work this way. Nothing leaked, investigations were done in secret and we didn't hear about things until an indictment was made. If no indictment was forthcoming, the case was closed and nothing was said. Obama changes all that.
Whatever you think of Sessions he is a an old fashion, by the book, law and order guy and he pledged from Day 1 to return the DOJ to that standard. Not hearing things until they are ready to seize and pounce is normal operating procedure for the DOJ. And that goes double for a case like this where there are so many people involved who are trying to coordinate their messaging (remember Feinstein getting a cold and leaking Glenn Simpson's testimony .. yea) that secrecy is paramount.
If we can all see the criminality with a fraction of the information Trump and team can see more. There is no way in hell I see Donald Trump letting this go without Biblical levels of payback.

Part of the reason you may be having trouble is your stomach has stretched out...as people say. It's not really that I don't think, it is just your body expects more food. I noticed my appetite is shrinking back down now...appetite decreasing.
Also, didn't you say you were off your routine for 2 months? See, for me it was only 1 week. Big difference. So, yea, it is gonna be harder for you for awhile. Maybe I'm wrong, but maybe shoot for longer fasts nightly (15-16 hours) and not 36 hours.
I like 16-17 hours because Autophagy (sp) supposedly happens at 16.

I heard the reverse. If you have a diabetes due to morbid obesity, you can actually CURE YOUR DIABETES by going into ketosis for 6 or 8 weeks, surviving on a 600- to 800-calorie a day diet.
They did a big study with this (in Germany, I believe), with tremendous results.
Until this study, it was thought that Type 2 diabetes was incurable and permanent. After many animals studies showing it could be reversed, they demonstrated for the first time that Type 2 diabetes (the most common kind, caused by lifestyle) in human was in fact curable. Through ketosis.
Not sure of the mechanism, but apparently long-term ketosis kick-started the pancreas to begin functioning properly again.

Here's my theory, for what it's worth: When a person with diabetes has persistent ketosis, it means their diabetes is not adequately managed. I'm guessing this because those ketosis strips are marketed for diabetics.
So for diabetics, it's a signal something is wrong.
In other circumstances, like purposeful fat-burning, it does not indicate unmanaged diabetes, so it is not a signal something is wrong.
I think it's not that ketosis itself is unhealthy, but ketosis can mean something is wrong if you are diabetic.

Lots of food in that range. Really delicious stuff, like strawberries and chocolate cake, and ice cream.

As for Horowitz, it wasn't Republicans who demanded that he start looking at how the FBI handled the Hillary email investigation, it was Democrats, specifically Elijah Cummings.
