But he did have such a client -- a former Dianne Feinstein staffer who collected $50 million from Democrat billionaires to continue his "research."

So why did he claim in Congressional testimony that he had no client after the election?

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is accusing Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson of giving "extremely misleading" statements, if not telling "outright lies," during Senate testimony in 2017.

"So you didn't do any work on the Trump matter after the election date; that was the end of your work?" Simpson was asked during the interview.
Simpson responded, saying: "I had no client after the election."
Grassley said Simpson's denial was false.
"As we now know, that was extremely misleading, if not an outright lie," the Republican wrote to his fellow Judiciary Committee member, Delaware Sen. Chris Coons.
"Contrary to Mr. Simpson's denial in the staff interview, according to the FBI and others, Fusion actually did continue Trump dossier work for a new client after the election," Grassley said.
Grassley pointed to statements a former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer, Daniel Jones, gave to the FBI in March 2017 about his work alongside Fusion GPS to investigate Trump's possible Russia links.

Jones' consulting firm, the Penn Quarter Group, "had secured the services Steele, his associate [redacted], and Fusion GPS to continue exposing Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election," he told the FBI.

The main point he brings up: they didn't have so much a problem with what the Democrats are doing, because it never affected them.

If their kid gets straight A's and tries to get into college, but gets shot down because he's white, well they just call someone at the college and he gets in. Nobody is going to fire them to replace their column-writing job with someone from India. They don't have to deal with finding dead bodies or deal with illegal immigration crime and vandalism in their back yard.

Quite simply they just have no connection with the real country because they're elites. They are above all these problems we face and simply cannot figure out why it upsets us so much. To them, they see it as an academic problem: illegals are cheap labor, so the minor problems some might face are balanced out by the overall economic benefit. Globalism may cost some jobs here, but it brings cheap products and overall boosts the national riches through mega corps. On and on.

They're just not able to make the connection to the real world effects of the hard left's ideas because they are never impacted by those ideas. So Trump's opposition to those things seems stupid, pointless, crude, and thoughtless.

For those who still don't get why Congress was so ineffective during the Obama years, beside the fact that it was the Obama DOJ under Holder and Lynch that actually did prosecutions and not Congress, read this.

It really isn't difficult to understand. While Obama was committing crimes he was also hamstringing the investigators from getting information. That only got fixed, mostly by Chuck Grassley, late in 2016. Before that Obama was free to commit crimes and never get caught by any IG.

If what I've hear here is true, Session is working with Rosenstein to work against Trump.

Essentially, he tried to ride the fence until he was sure that the committee was aware that there was a source in the campaign. Simpson is a weasel, and was doing damage control then...and his Lie on this particular issue is also worded in such a way that he can state he was misunderstood, and half the country will stand behind him. These assholes on the committee really need to learn how to ask questions and require yes or no answers that are unambiguous.
