The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"'I'm doing my job mom, that's all.'" Col. Arnaud Beltrame

Quote II

… “Tax burdens should not be increased slightly,” , a member of Seattle’s Progressive Revenue Task Force on Housing and Homelessness told a council finance committee Wednesday.

“We have to go big or go home,” she said. We must make a discernible impact on the situation and the number of people living in public and experiencing homelessness. Proposals that fumble around and don’t achieve that mark should not be supported.” Lisa Daugaard

Quote III

All of my high school male teachers were WWII and/or Korean War veterans. They taught my brothers and me the value of service to our country and reinforced what our dad had shown us about the meaning of service. Oliver North

Quote IV

“I feel for these kids from Parkland high school. They’ve obviously been affected. They have a right to speak out and they should. But forgive me if I don’t want a lesson on the Second Amendment on a 16-year-old. Forgive me if I don’t want to watch a 9-year-old tell me that her dream is a world without guns. My world––I want a world without Islamists! I wish that was true too. It’s just not the case. The reality is the Second Amendment’s not about hunting, it’s not about self-defense only, it’s about free people and checks on a tyrannical government… they shouldn’t be giving me lessons on the Second Amendment, they should be in civics class.” Pete Hegseth

"Mad" Mike Hughes finally becomes 'Rocket Man'.

Self-declared Flat Earth researcher and DIY steam rocket enthusiast “Mad” Mike Hughes has finally managed to prove the haters wrong about his ability to blast himself some 1,875 feet into the sky without being crushed or scalded to death, the Associated Press reported on Sunday.

The Apple iPhone, supposedly can't be unlocked. A company called Grayshift says it can. And the US State Department is using their product.

Grayshift, a company that offers to unlock modern iPhones for as little as $50 each, has caused a buzz across law enforcement agencies, with local police already putting down cash for the much sought-after tech. Now, it appears a section of the US State Department has also purchased the iPhone cracking tool, judging by procurement records reviewed by Motherboard.M

Men, vegans and masculinity.

This article analyzes qualitative interviews conducted with twenty vegan and vegetarian men in a semi-urban area of the southeastern United States to better understand how they conceptualize and explain their food consumption identities in relation to their broader identity practices. I find their performances of masculinity often defy the conventional feminization of meatless diets, while also upholding gendered binaries of emotion/rationality and current tropes of white, middle-class masculinity.

......Or the crux of the biscuit is the apostrophe.

One man and a skeleton vs. City Hall.

A biker got so fed up waiting for the [town] council to fill a huge pothole he staged these hilarious photos - of a skeleton in a helmet peering out of it.

Brian Joce, 64, says he was forced to take drastic action to highlight how big and dangerous the hole on the A3083 at the entrance to his village had become.

How I went dark in Australia. Two years escaping the surveillance state.

August 1, 2016. The day I'd been dreading. Sydney had finally abolished paper train tickets and I was getting ready to erase my identity.

The Australian state of New South Wales had been gradually transitioning away from paper tickets for more than two years. In the interests of entering the digital era, Transport NSW introduced the new 'tap-on, tap-off' Opal card. A contactless travel card, named after Australia's distinctive rainbow-hued Opal gemstone, it's similar to London's Oyster card and San Francisco's Clipper.

Welcome to the future! No more paper tickets! Top up your Opal card online! Set up a direct debit, download the accompanying app and track your spending, you mouth-breathing luddite -- this is the 21st century!

But if this was my ticket to the future, I was not on board

The perversion of culture continues to charge full speed ahead. The book, 'Little Women' experiences a re-write.

According to an exclusive by Entertainment Weekly, Louisa May Alcott's classic novel "Little Women" will be "reimagined" in a graphic novel in honor of its 150th anniversary. Except this one will have a twist: The title character Jo March will be lesbian.

"A whole new generation is about to be introduced to Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, the classic novel will be adapted into a vibrant graphic novel form for young readers, in celebration of its 150th anniversary," reports EW.

The old rule, when going on a trip, tell someone where you are going and what time you can be expected back. Is still good advice.

A Southern California attorney survived for five days lost in the desert by drinking his own urine and eating cactus after breaking his heel and pelvis on what was supposed to be a half-day hike.

La Mesa attorney Paul Hanks, 54, set out to celebrate his birthday with a hike in Joshua Tree National Park. Clad only in shorts and a T-shirt, Hanks took just a couple of energy packs and a few hours’ worth of water with him on his March 11 hike.

Numerous 2nd degree charges for a 1st degree Genius Award Winner.

25 Baby Sister Update

Today was an Avastin day, and as usual she did fine with it. On the other hand, Hubby tells me that she's developed a slight cough which they're closely monitoring to make sure it's not pneumonia or the like. She has an appointment later this week with her Primary Care doc to see about it.

As Roni noted yesterday, her physical situation has deteriorated somewhat, and she is now unable to walk by herself. Hubby isn't sure whether this is due to tumor progression or the fact that they'd begun tapering off her steroids. Hopefully they can sort this out soon.

For now, though, it's wait and see, and hoping and praying for the best.

[Horde: To my fellow Hordelings, thank you all in advance for your prayers and well-wishes for my sister and her family]

118 When I first listened to Robyn adele Anderson's cover of YMCE, I thought, "Something's not right with that third verse; she's just repeating the second verse."

Thought about it a little, and I realized why. That third verse makes zero sense coming from a woman. Clearly, she realized this and nixed it. The third verse is all about how, "I was once where you are, young sir, and then a friendly stranger referred me to the YMCA, just like I'm doing for you now." Yeah, a woman would not be referred to the Young Men's Christian Association to get her life together. So, losing that third verse makes more sense when a woman is covering the tune.

145 People have asked me how to cite the Federal civil rights laws. Copy the following paragraph down and put it in your wallet or purse so that you have it with you should you encounter people discussing how to implement "gun control" anywhere online or in the real world.

It is not protected free speech to discuss oppressing anyone's
constitutional rights - it is a felony violation of 18 U.S. Code 241 to
do so. It is not necessary that there be any overt action to implement
that conspiracy - just having the discussion is punishable by 10 years in federal prison.

It is time to end the "national discussion" of gun control. Kick ass and take names.

234 This article analyzes qualitative interviews conducted with twenty vegan and vegetarian men in a semi-urban area of the southeastern United States to better understand how they conceptualize and explain their food consumption identities in relation to their broader identity practices. I find their performances of masculinity often defy the conventional feminization of meatless diets, while also upholding gendered binaries of emotion/rationality and current tropes of white, middle-class masculinity.

Typical meaningless sociology blather. Sociologists are such utterly useless burdens on society. And they're embarrassments to civilization, too.

As a former cyclist,* let's compromise: any cyclist who rides two abreast on a narrow street deserves to have a car door opened on him.

1. LONG - TERM PARKING

Some people left their car in the long-term parking at San Jose while away, and someone broke into the car. Using the information on the car's registration in the glove compartment, they drove the car to the people's home in Pebble Beach and robbed it. So I guess if we are going to leave the car in long-term parking, we should NOT leave the registration/insurance cards in it, nor your remote garage door opener. This gives us something to think about with all our new electronic technology.

2. GPS:

Someone had their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard. When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen. The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they
knew how much time they had to clean out the house. It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents. Something to consider if you have a GPS - don't put your home address in it. Put a nearby address (like a store or gas station) so you can still find your way home if you need to, but no one else would know where you live if your GPS were stolen.

257 77 Anonymous 7 -- Saudi Arabia has become a very interesting place recently since King Salmon booted his nephew, son of the late Prince Naif, out of the line of succession and promoted his own son, Prince Muhamid bin Salmon, to the position of Crown Prince. MbS has made one glaring mistake, getting mixed up with and promoting the civil war in Yemen, but he's doing a lot of stuff I would have sworn would never happen in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. He is urging Muslims to quit harassing both Christians and Jews. Just a couple days ago, El Al got permission to fly over rather than around Saudi Arabia. He is curbing the religious police and the Wahhabi clerics. He has declared that women will be allowed to drive come summer. He is encouraging movie theaters to open in SA, and women now are allowed to attend soccer matches.

From what I have read, MbS understands that Saudi oil no longer rules the world and that the ibn Sauds are rapidly running out of the money they formerly employed to pay off the population and keep them firmly under control. He is part of the younger generation that far outnumbers his uncles and father's generation and which is bored out of their skulls with current Saudi culture and is desperately unemployed.

It will be interesting to see if MbS can maintain both his stamina and his position as Crown Prince. I'm not sure if he's all that he seems to be, but if he can drag Saudi Arabia out of the Middle Ages, more power to him.

3. CELL PHONES:

I never thought of this! This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her cell phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained her cell phone, credit card, wallet, etc., was stolen. Twenty minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened, hubby says, "I received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago." When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text "hubby" in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.

Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara at March 26, 2018 11:21 PM (YqDXo)

265
Moral lesson:
a. Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mom, etc.
b. And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back.
c. Also, when you're being texted by friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet "family and friends" who text you.

4. PURSE IN THE GROCERY CART SCAM:
A lady went grocery-shopping at a local mall and left her purse sitting in the children's seat of the cart while she reached something off a shelf/ Wait till you read the WHOLE story! Her wallet was stolen, and she reported it to the store personnel. After returning home, she received a phone call from the Mall Security
to say that they had her wallet and that although there was no money in it, it did still hold her personal papers. She immediately went to pick up her wallet, only to be told by Mall Security that they had not called her. By the time she returned home again, her house had been broken into and burglarized. The thieves knew that by calling and saying they were Mall Security, they could lure her out of her house long enough for them to burglarize it.

The car door thing is terrifying. Only place I would divert to a side road on the ride from La Jolla to Carlsbad.

Thing is, I'm half-terrified most of the time *in the car* by the incompetent, selfish, aggressive driving that is now the norm for half the populace in SoCal. I always have tried to bike the emptiest streets and roads, but the fear of dangerous drivers is increasing.

295 TPOP, not where I am. Have never seen cyclists numerous enough to be any factor at all in traffic, much less add to congestion. Can't speak for other areas. Any smart and reasonably polite biker is a non-factor for car traffic, in all respects.

It's that "smart and reasonably polite" thing that's the catch, but not just with bikers, in today's Amerikkka.

Reminds me, have never had any sort of problem with a car, with two exceptions. Three- or four-way stop, or something. Clipped in to the pedals, so, careful to adjust speed approaching line so that it's "my turn" when I get there, and can pedal on.

Idiot drivers "politely" "wait" for me - as I motioned and begged them to go ahead. Nope. Too stupid - and/or ignorant. So I barely avoid disaster falling over sideways as I come to a stop, all because ignorant, stupid drivers won't respond to someone begging them to just do what they normally do, go when it's their turn at a stop sign.

298 Dayton has a whole network of bicycle roads completely separate from the streets. It's damn nice, but kind of a Dayton thing. Like the bike was invented there, or some famous bicycle mechanic was from there, or something. Can't be the weather.

So, people can run with their dogs, and jog and shit like that, no cars. I wonder if they ever have mo-ped issues. When my kid lived in Alpha!, it was cool because the Kil-Kare speedway was just over a mile away via bikeway. The damn bikeway ran where the back alley used to be, so, bike out the former garage door, admission free with military ID, beer was some ridiculous price, a quarter?, and, ride home careful!

Up in Amish country there's real interest in building "water-bound macadam" stone roads for the horse'n'buggies. This will be the greatest thing evah for Wilbur and Mister Ed. Jobs for shit-shovelers, too.

I can't say all of my male teachers were veterans, but more than a few were (WWII, Korea, Vietnam).

My physics teacher lost most of his left hand in Korea. He carved a prosthetic hand that fit like a glove--he had most of his thumb intact. He was absolutely terrifying, but was a very good teacher.

Our driver's Ed teacher had a nervous tic that made his face muscles move involuntarily. Some of us joked that he got that tic from being a driver's Ed teacher.

Our economics teacher, another Korean War Vet, set us straight. Mr. "Smith" was a Marine who had been wounded on Guadalcanal.

Needless to say, we saw Mr. "Smith" in a whole different light.

I know there are still men such as these in America, my own brother being one of them. But I hate the direction things are going.

304 267 Many cyclists - most, in my observation - aren't aggressive or stupid or incompetent in their traffic behavior. But that's judging by one area.

The car door thing is terrifying. Up near Jay's 'hood, I think, there finally will be some change to the only really scary stretch of the coast highway (Leucadia), where parking is allowed on side of the road. Or so someone told me.

Posted by: Very Unstable Semi-Genius, AKA rhomboid at March 26, 2018 11:22 PM (v9gSJ)

With the greatest respect - and I mean sincerely - I disagree. Cyclists, especially in groups, are highly prone to be aggressive, stupid, incompetent, AND militant. Riding N abreast on a constricted road - e.g., the PCH - is obnoxious, and uncalled for. I refused to drive down the PCH from Carlsbad to Leucadia because of militant asshole cyclists. Share the road? Yeah, great - you too!

A case in point: we were recently in the Sequoia National Forest, which features narrow winding roads on which cyclists are required to ride single file, per signage all along the highway. Some asshole was riding side by side with his girlfriend as we were overtaking him/her, when suddenly a truck appeared around a bend. White knuckle time. I split the difference between the truck and the retards. After we'd stopped and gotten out, the male retard later rode up and gave me some shit, saying I should have honked the horn to remind him to obey the fucking law and get into single file. Then he threatened to assault me, little realizing that I'd grown up in Hunter's Point. I wordlessly stood my ground, and then, thinking the better of it, he mouthed off about what he would have done, and then rode off. He didn't understand, had he pressed the issue, and I'd won, I'd have dealt with this white pansy Hunter's Point style.

He should have gone to prison and he got a ridiculously easy slap on the wrist.

Then there will be a text message at the end of the movie about how he went on to a brilliant senate career where he stood up for women by making it easy to kill their fetuses.

Anyway, according to this writer, said politician not only screamed and threatened his way through the whole thing, but was seen handcuffed and seated in a corner of the examination room, wearing women's undergarments.

352 Omaha lost its collective mind a few years back and hired an " alternative transportation specialist" at a really obscene rate of pay. This guy was a really big fan of bike lanes. It didn't matter if a street had the space for an actual bike lane; he'd just have the city workers paint bike lane signs on the outside lanes. The way I drive to and from the Y has narrow bike lanes gouged out of two way streets. Do you think the bikers use them? Hell no. They still peddle merrily down the center of the car lanes.

The only satisfaction I get is that Omaha finally elected a Republican mayor, and one of the first things she did was get rid of that clown.

353 346 Well Jay turns out I'll be heading up to Encinitas on Sunday for a family thing, so I'll make a point of using the coast starting at Torrey Pines (where I used to start my northbound rides ...... which gave me that nice grinding climb at the end when I returned). Haven't been riding the PCH much at all the last 2 years, so things may have (sharply) deteriorated.

Please do report back. I may be full of shit, but after a series of unpleasant experiences, I avoid driving the PCH over that stretch. It just wasn't worth the aggravation.

And I say that as a former bike touring fan (back in era when road bikes ruled, and no one had ever heard of mountain bikes, which for some reason have taken over even on roads).

Based on his own testimony, Comrade Strelnikov should be able to land an endorsement deal from the maker of his bike.

357 Twenty minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone
telling him what had happened, hubby says, "I received your text asking
about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago." When they
rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was
already withdrawn. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to
text "hubby" in the contact list and got hold of the pin number.
Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank
account.

This is why I have no banking or other personal info on my phone or my laptop. All that is handled from my pc only.

And may I add that while it certainly may be different in various places and with various banks, I have never had an account that would allow me to withdraw more than $500 in a 24 hour period. No way could they drain my accounts. If this story is true (and I'm sure variations of it have occurred) then hubby is a dumbass.

364 Toronto has just started transit passes like the Aussie's one that I use myself.

As far as tracking your movements by where you pay your fare, yes, but about 1/3 of the time it's completely wrong. Just a few days ago my account webpage said the bus that picked me up was at "Mount Dennis Garage" (I assume the bus repair garage) instead of the street name.

And about 1/3 of the time it hasn't charged me for a trip but 'it' thought it was a free "transfer" between buses instead.

It also strikes me that it would be a useful tool for providing an alibi for committing a crime. "I couldn't have thrown the bag of flaming dog-shit at P.M. Trudeau, officer. I was 20 miles away at Wilson Station. My Presto card will corroborate it!" Although you'd have to work out something with an accomplice because there are cameras on the buses now.

Frankly, this was pretty stupid. He accepted a TEXT from his wife regarding their PIN? He didn't demand to talk with her? "You need cash? Where are you? I'll meet your there."

Or demand some verification of identity. Did he seriously think his wife had forgotten her PIN (note: not PIN number.

389 @357 "Heh." I unnerstann.
Wife retired not long ago, and among the bookkeeping was that she'd no longer be across the hall from the place-of-employment credit union, so why not transfer our "grocery account" to our other CU, just around the corner from home? I'm game. So we go in there, and there are all these new wonderful features to a checking account that I do not want or need. You get a percentage kickback if you use the chip debit card a certain number of times per month. Card? I can write a check and record it faster that the damn stoners can find and swipe their cards. Sigh, OK, it's a new century. Let's get hep.

First shoppe I stop in, who knew, there's an 80-cent charge for swiping, because, lotto bums, bad and stolen cards. So that's out. At the liquor store where I'm very popular, clerk makes an oo-wie face, "It says there's not enough..." This has never happened to me, as I told the girl at the picnic.

There's $600 in that account. So I pay cash, and write a check instead of the card for the groceries. "Casually" mention it to Little Miss I.T. at home, and she phones the bank with "That Look" on her face.

Sure as shit. They'd linked the cards to the wrong accounts, and as she had used her regular credit card to get ready for a trip, she'd unwittingly spent the $600 I'd have used for a month of booze, smokes and groceries. Oopsie! "Oh well." Just a little computer error, as we say in my country.

We had a Little Chat with the management. Some of our "trust" is in that little establishment. Matter of fact, we're about their largest depositor, on the Plus side. And now my "trust" in them is about zero.

Argle frickin chips and so-called computers. I used to manage a big damn database, way bigger than this mere financial crap, and none of my clients ever got hosed like that. "Computer problem!" Bullshit. Screw-up is the word.

485 That's the third time I linked to the trailer at AoS and it has been burning a hole in my brain so I better finally rant about it.

1) If they can make a protagonist out of a 2D bully, like Biff from Back to the Future, then they can do this treatment to anyone. In fact the writers might have regarded it as a challenge and succeeded admirably. The meta-narrative is really strong here. Did anyone think, 30 minutes in, that Mr. Miyagi was making a sap out of the guy who painted fences and waxed cars? The Karate Kid was one of the best movies of that year. That said, there was little for the audience to feel conflicted about.

2) It seems to be hitting a zeitgeist. You could overlay a paragraph by Jordan Peterson or Bill Burr to that trailer, and if you were clever it would match pretty well. Being tough and strong are virtues in their own right. It is easier to be good when you are wealthy, strong and secure. Being weak is effectively being tempted to do sneaky immoral things.

3) Everyone has struggles to the point they deserve our sympathy, to include bullies who practice the Dane Cook of martial arts.

4) Daniel has had very little opportunity to practice being a good person without Mr. Miyagi there. Johnny on the other hand has huge regrets to motivate him. And now Sensei Kreese (sp?), the only real villain, is gone.

5) Daniel is a huge punk, and soon the crowd will be hoping and waiting for someone to Sweep. The. Leg. His karate form is garbage.

Only software I can think of that has been consistently reliable, only good improvements, is Forte Agent for email and newsgroups. Of course, the systems with which it interfaces have been pretty much static for decades. But they've kept up with what has changed.

I think we hit peak human interface ease about 1996, and it's been downhill since then. I blame Goggle.

It's a lot like email. You need to have an account recognized by the server. ATT stopped running their servers around the same time they stopped providing their own email instead of telling their customers to use Yahoo. Around that time I got my own domain for email (having an extremely rare last name makes it easy to have a vanity address that is firstname@lastname.com) and a while later switched to cable for broadband service. By then I'd gotten so out of the Usenet habit I never checked to see if they had any Usenet access.

495 redc1c4: can i access Usenet through Forte Agent

Agent is a newsreader. You have to have a usenet provider.

The main Agent improvements regard better binary post recognition. Posts which use to be dozens of lines are now compacted to a single line. Pretty good at unscrambling and fixing of RAR files.

IIRC, Agent's creators sold the program, but eventually bought it back, and have maintained it since. In that way, unique, AFAIK, among all software.

I've had a lot of jobs that had me driving home from an unfamiliar locale around 2 AM, so I'm not too proud to take some guidance until I had my bearings and knew the rest of the way. If there are advisories for road construction this is really helpful as such is always an issue at that hour in SoCal.

There were some night when I felt wide awake and restless, so I'd instead make an educated guess as to which direction would get me somewhere familiar. If I head west I'll eventually get to the coastline and the choice is a bit obvious from there.

OTOH, the voice of the guidance system can be really irritating. If I'm going somewhere unfamiliar, I don't turn on the guidance until I'm approaching the point where it's actually needed.

Yep, I've almost got the proto-Falkenberg novella formatted enough to create an EPUB file.

The other book is over twice as long, so it will take a good while. I have the PDF scan OCRed, so I can copy the text into Word but there is a huge amount of work from there to eliminate the massive amount of artifacts that creep in and generate bizarre misspellings. For example, the letter W in certain places really drives the OCR software nuts. Plus it thinks ever line is a paragraph and so a zillion errant CR/LF removals have to happen. Importing the text with all formatting removed is actual worse because you end up with a single paragraph for hundreds of pages.

There is a western novel that never sold that may get the ebook treatment, too. It depends if there is enough perceived interest.

anywhere in SoCal that isn't part of my usual, if i have a paper map of major streets and know where i'm going, i'm good. i just do a map recon and write down the last fidly bits from the closest intersection.

All these leaders don't give a stuff about climate change. Instead they are travelling around in v8 bmw 7 series. Classic example was Obama last week. Private helicopter from Auckland all the way up to that golf course hundreds of kilometres north. Then when he was in Sydney I paused it on the motorcade he was in on the highway. A total of 15 vehicles for 1 man... 9 police motorbikes and 5 reasonably big suvs. If the leaders of the world can't lead by example then who says the rest of the world is going to follow. I was going to ask the Horde if that sounded like a doable idea for a published book, but then I saw this thread, and figured if that twat can make one of the Little Women a lesbo there should be no reason I can't do my project. No, I'm not going to turn anyone gay or tranny or feminazi, but just develop the characters and tweak the plot a bit to make it more realistic and not as preachy or over the top as the original. All names would be changed to protect the innocent but the setting (St Louis before and during the Civil War) would stay the same. What say you?

From all around the 'globe' you mean. Globe inferring a round object.

You messed up the punchline.

Posted by: Forgot My Nic at March 27, 2018 06:24 AM (LOgQ4)

Yeah, I messed up. All my creative juices were spent on Stormy Davis eyes at 494. I was inspired by fellow 'Ron, El Carbon Azzprint. Got here after he left, otherwise we could have co-written it.
After reading his stuff, I would change out some of my stuff for his. It was just inspiring. A leftie friend of mine had just sent me a version of "Stormy", with a bunch of stuff about Trump cheating on Melania. It wasn't very funny, just cruel against Melania, even if you hate Trump.

He sends me a lot of that kind of stuff (FB, articles) from his circle. The general theme is that how can supposedly right-leaning Christians support a cheater. It doesn't compute for them.
I tell him that the Left is trying to take away their guns and their religious freedom, and forcing unacceptable things down our collective throats by fiat instead of by passing laws. like losing your bakery livelihood if you won't bake a Gay wedding cake. I say to him that if a playboy billionaire that banged anything in a skirt up until a decade ago is the one to save our most cherished rights, so be it.

His circle still doesn't get it. I texted him the Stormy Daniels eyes blurb, and changed out some of my stuff with El Carbon's. He laughed pretty hard. Even if he has become a leftie, he has a warped sense of humor like mine.

The arrest came after footprints were discovered near the Gaza border fence. The three were carrying knives and hand grenades, and were located within Israel, 20 kilometers from the border.

Judge Nap on Fox said that the courts would only require they count heads, everything else is under "you can't be forced to incriminate yourself".
But if the state of Calif conspires to corrupt their voting rolls, can the Congress deny their results for Federal Elections? They do have that power, although I don't think it has ever been used.

Me, I'd just as soon do another Sherman-Atlanta burn it all down thing to Los Angeles , but I'm probably in the minority on that. Too many OSHA requirements.

589 According to an exclusive by Entertainment Weekly, Louisa May Alcott's classic novel "Little Women" will be "reimagined" in a graphic novel in honor of its 150th anniversary. Except this one will have a twist: The title character Jo March will be lesbian.

Why not be totally imaginative - with the biggest twist ever - like ghostbusters - rewrite the title characters as men?? Now thats diversity....
