Major Correction on Gina Haspel Story: She Took Over the Black Site After The Waterboarding of Abu Zubaydah
Zubaydah was notoriously waterboarded 83 times in a single month -- but despite ProPublica's previous claims (with many in the media aping their reports), Haspel arrived at the site after that and had nothing to do with that episode.
If I'm reading this right, she was Chief of Base of the black site for the waterboarding of one other terrorist, but that guy was only waterboarded three times.Comments

There is a person who knows of harm planned for innocent people, who supports it, and by torturing them you can get them disclose information that will save innocent lives. What is ethically wrong with that?
I'd go beyond waterboarding, which only makes seem like you are drowning but never places you in actual danger. I think people should be maimed. Start maiming Dzhokar Tsarnaev one limb at a time until he discloses the identity of all other radicals he knows about.
Note, I'm not advocating vigilantism or anything like that. I think that should be government policy.

I mean, sure. That sort of thing is easy to say in hindsight. But in terms of a heuristic, "must be an outsider" would also have excluded someone like Nikki Haley, no? And she's been doing as good a job as anyone as far as we can tell.

Chicago police are trying to identify the dozens of students from Simeon Career Academy who they say took part in a vandalism spree while they were supposed to be protesting guns.
Shoppers and store employees were stunned by the destruction Wednesday morning at the Walmart in Chatham Market on the South Side.
Chicago police say it started when students at neighboring Simeon Career Academy were allowed to leave the school for 17 minutes to take part in the nationwide walkout to protest guns.
Police say between 40 and 60 of those students crossed the street and trashed parts of the store, knocking over product displays, yanking items off shelves, breaking packages and stealing small items like chips and candy.

I doubt that Wal-Mart sells guns or ammo. It's within the city limits, and that's a rough neighborhood. Wal-Mart itself has only been in Chiraq for a couple of years now, the city wouldn't grant them the permits they needed to open so all the Wal-Marts were located literally across the streets from the city.

You know, there is something to be said for his lifestyle. I know he likes junk food but he's never drank or smoked and that's got to be a small reason why he has the energy he has.

Well, son will be in the parade on the VFW vehicle (he's a member and the local president of the VFW called him yesterday to make sure he'd be there). I'm sure he and his fellow vets will show respect to the VP.

He recused, and still he keeps telling us these are honorable men. DoJ and FBI have been blocking legal FOIA and oversight requests/demands.
Allegedly that is to keep from compromising the OIG report ... like hiding (redacting) the fact Strzok/Holder are close pals with that FISA judge. But leaving McCabe in is just one more indication Sessions himself over the years, became friends with a lot of the DeepStaters.
Heck, for all we know, putting Sessions in to support Trump was backup plan #23 for the DeepState. They insert moles everywhere.
But don't worry ... #2weeks. (really, more to come soon, and those opposing Trump are being fired ... but all no thanks to Sessions' recusal.)
