How about the progressive part of California just secedes from the United States?

Anyway, baby steps:With the reading of their own version of a Declaration of Independence, founders of the state of New California took the first steps to what they hope will eventually lead to statehood. To be clear, they don't want to leave the United States, just California. "Well, it's been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we're rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California," said founder Robert Paul Preston. The state of New California would incorporate most of the state's rural counties, leaving the urban coastal counties to the current state of California.

“I wish I had killed more of the mother——-s,” Bracamontes told the court. He continued, “I will break out soon and I will kill more, kill whoever gets in front of me…There’s no need for a f—ing trial.”

So sorry for your loss.
Others will be more experienced with pups then me, but growing up my family had a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, who was very low maintenance but still playful.
From what I've seen of golden retrievers or labs however, they seem better suited for an active/companion type of dog.
Again, this is just from my limited experience.

We have a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix (a "chiweenie") who is the perfect combination of loyal, loving and fun; he smallish (23 lbs) without the annoying traits of little dogs (yippiness, neurotic, etc.).
He's been a great companion to my hubby as he recovered from cancer and back injury - gets him out for walks and some play but low-maintenance, just as happy to sleep in and cuddle.

I was reading a couple days ago how some knucklehead with about the most foreign-ish foreign name I ever heard was threatening to commit murder and mayhem at a Pittsburgh Steelers game. Later in the article it mentioned how he had been in something like 25 different clinical trials of drugs.
I'm just supposin' here, but wouldn't it be logical that the side effects of being such a loser that your source of income is engaging in clinical trials would be depression, anger, self-harm, and erectile dysfunction?

No, I think we could split it so that the urban areas (excluding San Diego) could get their own urban representation. From LA up to SF along the coast, including Hollywierd and Silicon Valley. They can run it like they do now and it would probably still be okay because of the ocean front taxes and income from what's left of Hollywood and Silicon Valley. College football is a prime example. I watched more college ball this year and very little of the NFL because college teams avoided the ant-American nonsense.But in reality I know that the universities those teams represent are the incubators of the SJW nonsense

Oddly enough, there is an existing conservative effort to split California, at SOJ51.com (which stands for State of Jefferson). They are currently pursuing a court case which will be news to just about everybody younger than retirement age today.
You see, the way California's constitution was (and still is!) written, California's state senate is not supposed to be elected by population-based districts just like the Assembly. The senate is supposed to have one seat for each of California's 58 counties, period. If this were being obeyed, metro Los Angeles would not be able to totally control the state's legislative process as they do now.
The Senate was not changed by amending the state's constitution, which would have required a popular vote. It was changed by executive order of Governor Earl Warren, who held office about 1960. Then, by the time his opponents' suit was summarily dismissed by the state supreme court, Warren was Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, and rather than recuse himself, voted to refuse to hear the case against his own usurpation.
SOJ51 has a court date this month in the 9th circuit court of appeals, for its case demanding that the state either restore its proper constitutional system, or allow the "Jefferson" area to vote on seceding from California. They will lose in the 9th Circuit, of course, but the Supreme Court has already hinted that it will hear the case.
