14 DIABLOs are at the amnesty bus again according to this report.

Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the No. 2 Democrat, hosted a meeting of the Senate negotiators on Thursday afternoon, including Republicans Lindsey Graham, James Lankford, Cory Gardner, Jeff Flake and staff from Sen. Thom Tillis. But all exiting the meeting said while negotiations progressed, no break-throughs have been reached yet. And while some wouldn't rule it out as a possibility, none expressed much optimism it could be done by the end of the year.

But this is from CNN so you can take it with a grain of salt (or a ton of it.)

wife got new tires on her Crown Vic just before buying a new car. When she got the new car I got the Crown. All 4 tires are now slowly leaking down and I have to continually drag out the shitty little air compressor to pump them back up. What is really aggravating is with the loss of all the service stations due to quick store gas there are no more accessible real air compressors.

66 I'm a sick as a dog, but there's a light behind every cloud.

I'm finally getting a chance to look over the Deplorable Gourmet cookbook and I'm just loving every bit of it.

From the Grey-Boxed and numbered recipes to Muldoon's limericks... I'm simply blown away.

It makes me wish that I had submitted my long, drawn-out "Party Recipes" for chicken wings and rice, cheeseburger soup, E-Z Cubano sandwiches and "Mexican Fiesta", Family-Style taco/burrito bar.

They would have taken up more than a page, (probably two or more), however. They are long, drawn-out, intricate processes involving roux, slurries, marination and other processes that take a lot of time.

...and they serve twenty. ...or in my case, six hungry dudes and their girlfriends.

I cracked-up when I saw "But First..." prefacing the Appetizers chapter. I'm not even miffed that it wasn't attributed to Your Friendly Neighborhood Slapweasel because I didn't invent it.

Mel Gibson did and it was a meme long before I got here... lol.

I'm going to buy more of the cookbooks because they are so well put together and I simply love all of you.

Thank You to bluebell, Weasel and everyone else who had a hand in completing this project. I have tears of joy in my eyes this Christmas season.

Now, if you don't mind? I have to check my esophageal discharge for my asshole.

I'll go off and check the Insty link, but it's not as surprising as it might sound.

Baby eels, called elvers, are a delicacy especially in Portuguese dishes. The streams where elvers run are highly regulated and late night elver poaching is a major thing.

102 I also have a recipe for a complex salsa that I should have written down. I love it when everyone is chowing-down on it and when they stop, they mention how spicy it is.

I usually don't do spicy for the sake of spicy. I'm not trying to wreck my guests.

The only "cure" is to eat more of the salsa... lol. It usually has very little "front-end" spice.

I make a second bowl for the "Heat Misers" who want Everything to be Hotter. I also have sauce for that.

The "trick" is to use roasted peppers alongside the fresh peppers. Not only do you get a depth of flavor, but you get a depth of texture.

I also use fresh and caramelized onions.

50% tomatoes, (Roma and Heirloom), 50% Other.

In short, they're not paying them. But they are trying to find the retirees, which is extra nice, this holiday season. The best part, most of these are payouts of less than $150 a month. Real one-percenters there.

I've actually been looking at a build-it-yourself still. I figure when the shit hits the fan a moonshiner would have good opportunities for barter.

This has been discussed on a thread a couple of days ago.

Talk to your friendly local ornery gent of Scots-Irish extraction whose cash money is none of your damn business.

186 Republicans unveil the final tax reform bill. It is a watered down mess that bears no resemblance at all to the one Trump had come up with. And the Senate bill that is part of this was voted against by the outgoing DIABLO Kokehead Korker.

I guess just cutting taxes across the board would have made too much sense for them. Wouldn't want an easy win that benefits the American taxpayer

good idea ... some preppers store up alcohol as a bartering item that doesn't go bad, and could always be turned to personal consumption.

I'm not foreseeing that bad of a world ahead ... mostly "they" seem to want to keep the order of things, but blend us into a multi-culti consumer nation, and kill off the patriotism.

The war for now is getting the Deep State in DC and Wall Street in prison, but so far we can't get them fired even when they get caught smashing evidence. But we are promised "The Report".

195 "In its rush to claim the high ground in our roiling national conversation about harassment, the Democratic Party has implemented a zero-tolerance standard," Ramsey said. "For me, that means a vindictive, terminated employee's false allegations are enough for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) to decide not to support our promising campaign. We are in a national moment where rough justice stands in place of careful analysis, nuance and due process."
