Jury Finds Kate Steinle's Murderer Not Guilty of Murder

#Sanctuary, even for killers.

Jose Ines Garcia Zarate has been found not guilty of second-degree murder

Garcia Zarate admitted to shooting 32-year-old Kate Steinle last week

But he said he was holding gun on San Francisco pier when it accidentally fired

Garcia Zarate is a Mexican illegal immigrant who has been deported five times

He just picked up a gun from the pier he'd never seen before and then bang, it accidentally went off, killing someone dead-bang perfectly.

Happens all the time.

23. And Abraham drew near, and said: 'Wilt Thou indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

24. Peradventure there are fifty righteous within the city; wilt Thou indeed sweep away and not forgive the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25. That be far from Thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from Thee; shall not the Judge of all the earth do justly?'

26 And the LORD said: 'If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will forgive all the place for their sake.'

27. And Abraham answered and said: 'Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, who am but dust and ashes.

Going on the assumption that that truly happened, if he had left the gun there and told the authorities about it, it's safe to assume the gun would not have gone off and killed that precious young girl.

Or are they so depraved that they will grasp any straw to find an excuse to not convict a member of a favored minority group? All three seem possible to likely, but most of my money is on the last of the three.

Some parts of the country are under the rule of law. But California is already like a separate country with separate laws. And it's democratic. Most of them are stupid enough to believe in the principles that are governing them, and they're getting what they want. No plastic bags, no paté, preferential treatment to illegals and terrorists, mandate LGBT in schools, outlaw dog breeders, no controlled burning of undergrowth, delta smelt etc.

It was pathetic and we all felt awful. The lousy prosecutor resigned right after, as she should have.

I check the paper constantly to see if the yute has been re-arrested, and haven't seen him yet. But one of the prosecution's witnesses, "Bucket," was re-arrested by the Feds in a drug/gun crackdown this week.

This is why we have to keep guns out of the hands of civilians. They get lost or stolen and then sold on the black market to criminals.

If that gun had not been in that car, this story would never have happened. Guns should only be in the hands of trusted, well trained, professional state agents. Professional men and women and even then, they should be locked up in a state controlled armory. If you want a well regulated militia, you need to regulate well the militia you have.

320 Speaking of India, now for sometime a bit more lighthearted, courtesy of the New York Times.

Where is the line between culturally appropriate dress and cultural appropriation?

It was hard to look at Ivanka Trump's wardrobe during her India trip this week and not ask the question.
...
DailyO, an online opinion site from the India Today Group, deemed it all a "superficial assimilation of culture" that was compounded by the "floral gown that looked like a 'me-too' of a Kashmiri pheran."
...
Instead of wearing work by a designer that spoke to the nuances of the country (a tactic adopted often by Michelle Obama, for example), Ms. Trump opted, at least initially, for the most obvious: clothes by outsiders who dipped into their fantasy of India as opposed to its reality.

Read an overview of the case. The story is the biggest load of bullshit I've heard for sometime. I can take into account one coincidence. But the whole tale is full of fateful coincidences and finds that he just happened to be innocent of.

1) Stolen pistol.... He didn't steal it, someone else did.

2) That "someone else" leaves it under a bench on the pier (for some reason).

3) The accused just happens to take a nap on that bench.

4) The accused is taking the nap because he "found" some pills "in a dumpster"...

5) after finding the convenient pills in the convenience dumpster, he "finds" the pistol under his bloody pillow. What are the odds of these finds by a totally innocent hapless individual?

6) was apparently "aiming at sea lions"... but then... "oh no, It went off when I picked up the under-my-bench pillow-convenience pistol".

So many twists and turns, that added up, go right off the improbability chart.

Chances are the prosecutor was in the bag.

When Prop. 8 - the anti-fag marriage proposition - was before the CA Supreme Court, the pro-Prop. 8 argument was made by the CA AG of the time: Jerry Brown. Who mumbled a few words, then let a bunch of horseshit social "science" studies go unchallenged, resulting in a ruling for fag marriage, because Prop. 8 defenders had produced "no scientific evidence for their position." (As if social "science" constitutes scientific evidence.)

The whole thing was kabuki. Jerry Brown merely went through the motions on his way into the tank. Cocksucker.

Last weekend, while I was gone, someone broke into the garage... cut the cable chain, and stole a $1400 bicycle...

My 89 year old Mom was in the house at the time... and heard something.... turned on some lights... which scared them away, or more would have been stolen.

Oh... and we found a knife, that did not belong to anyone here.... left where they cut the cable on the bike chain...

Grand Theft.. with a weapon... Cops came and took the report, but I can tell they really don't expect to accomplish anything..... didn't even dust the knife for prints (I still have it in a plastic bag...)...

This is pretty much the same thing that happened in the Kahane murder case. The dirtbag was acquitted of the murder but found guilty of illegally possessing a gun (that just happened to have been used to murder Kahane).

In the Kahane case, at least the judge was livid over the mockery of the court and threw the book at El Sayyid Nosehair over the weapons charge. Didn't stop Nosehair from helping attack the World Trade Center from inside prison ...

My wife is a legal immigrant, whom I married overseas. To get her green card she had to go BACK to her country of origin and apply to the US embassy there, despite our having been married for some time. She had to produce X-rays and shit proving she didn't have TB. Meanwhile, we let in Third World fruits with AIDS who are looking forward to a long and fruitful career on welfare.

So I couldn't agree more.

========

Why would anyone want to live in a city where the DA instead of prosecuting those who committed crimes against you, would give them a pass just because you are a white citizen and they are a brown illegal? It's like voluntarily going to dhimmi land. "Yes, I'd like to be a second class citizen, please". Only non-citizens are first class citizens.

Welcome to California. Citizens have to have driver's licenses, auto insurance, pay property tax, pay for their children's college tuition, file and pay income tax, employers have to pay for workmen's compensation, environmental Nazis climb up everyone's ass.

Unless you're illegal, in which case you don't have to do shit. Driver's license? Auto insurance? Property tax? College tuition? Income tax? Workmen's comp? Environmental regulations?

Hell, obey the criminal law? You can commit a felony and just skip across the border back to Mexico.

In California today you literally are at a major disadvantage being a law-abiding, tax-paying legal American citizen.

Involuntary manslaughter in CA involves actions that do not rise to the level of a felony. If I read this right, the perp already was convicted of a felony, so touching the gun would be another one, which means 'involuntary manslaughter' does not technically apply.

Well, I may have mentioned that when I came here, it wasn't from London directly but from Algeria. So I can identify with having to learn the language. Algerians don't speak Arabic right and they don't speak French right. My family code-switched between English and (really bad) French at home because they had to speak (really bad) French to get around in Algeria.

I do sympathise with legal immigrants who have that language barrier (Mexicans from tribal areas seem closest to my experience).

But illegals? The hell?

Any honest prosecutor would put on testimony about trigger pull weight to defeat that theory (I'm no criminal attorney, but have seen this in multiple cases). If this prosecutor did not explain that issue to the jury, he was in the bag.

ace should switch from ad-based earning to crypto-mining on readers' machines, instead. It takes up the same number of CPU cycles (probably less than a lot of the crap that ads run), provides income, and isn't subject to any of the crap from advertisers. And people are not bothered by something just running in the background (as long as it doesn't tax the system too heavily).

Yeah. Bitcoin or any other public ledger that does mining for its security. Instead of having some stupid ad running crap on the machine you have the machine just working out some hashes (or whatever the particular blockchain calls for) for you. It's computing power and it earns money through this crypto mining.

Of course, one would have made TONS over the past couple of years with this, thanks to the fact that the crypto markets have been the fastest rising markets in all of human history, but there is no guarantee that the payout can come down as they crash. It's a risk. But I think most people would rather have their machines just crunching some numbers for ace to make some bucks with rather than be subjected to ads that take up, at least, the same amount of CPU and memory.

It's just a thought.

However, if you spell GAF backward - makers of fine shingles that you can buy at your local home improvement store - that does indeed spell FAG.

Even More Of A Coincidence ... knee-pads are often called CockSuckerShoes on jobsites ... and a FAG installing GAF product may indeed use those ... even though no cocks are being sucked and shoes are not worn on knees.

A planned ricochet is not credible. I wasn't able to find out exactly which model P239 it was or the safety system. The DAO version has a lever actuated decocker safety. They also make a DA/SA and a "DAK" which is a special type of DAO. From the photos none of them appear to have a trigger safety or backstrap safety. Don't know if there is an internal safety to prevent drop fires.

749 728 If we give the NorKs precise coordinates, could they please nuke California? Please?

Hate to say I'm starting to agree with you. California is a sick, twisted place. For this guy and Bowe Bergdahl to walk in the span of a few months is insane.

For this illegal immigrant's sake, I hope he decides to travel to the South where his mortal coil would be shuffled via a rope and a tree within minutes. If the jury decided to let a murderer free to give Trump the finger like that worthless no-load JAG did for Bergdahl, I pray karma catches up with them soon.

We're now a nation of feelings, not laws. We're approaching dangerous territory with this and judges who decide they like the last president better and use their "authority" to prevent his successor from doing what he was elected to do. If we're not careful, we're on the precipice of a civil war. I'm afraid if the Democrats take the House and Senate (as likely thanks to the cuck GOPe), they're going to take a run at impeaching Trump and that'll be when the balloon as we said in Germany will go up.

God help us all.

751 It is simple, if you do not have a hammer buy one, wear gloves, recon the lowlife, choose a time annd place and blugeon him with a few hammers to the skull. Drop hammer and calmly walk away. It is not rocket science or brain surgery. Well, it is sort of brain surgery.

754 I am beyond sickened and angry at this complete travesty of justice. Which is another word for California. Travesty.

All is *not* lost however. I think it was here on this blog 5 (?) years ago that someone explained the way to take over the loser party was to do the horrible scut work of volunteering, walking precincts and the like. Here in California, as awful as it seems, there are lots of actual conservatives who've been led to believe that we're all alone...but we aren't. I'm an eternal optimist (met redc1c4 at a mixer btw) and think that stuff like this makes California right for an earthquake of the political kind. So please, be mad, *and* go force your way onto your local GOP Central Committee, or link up with the cool gang at Tea Party California Caucus (I put their url in my nic) and let's get even before we all have to move. Maybe this ship can get course corrected.

I only lurk, but I love the HQ and you day and night walkers are inspiration. Thank you for being here (except for the other day, when you weren't)

755 I truly believe the US would be better off without california. (lower case intentional). Let them go.

756 I remember once arguing/debating against secession, and now I'm in full f***ing rant mode over on Facebook telling California to GTFO.

758 I just want to remind everyone that this guy was actually finishing up a prison sentence, and ICE was taking him into custody. Then San Fran said, nah, we want him because we have a 20 year old dime bag pot charge. They literally sent a car on a six hour drive to go get him from the jail, brought him back to SF, and then the judge cut him loose. That doesn't get near enough play. It was like an illegal alien rescue mission.

760 Which Sig was it? I've seen 226 and 239. I've owned many Sigs, P239 in 9 and 40 and a P229R in 40 with a DAK trigger as well as a carry P226 in 9mm. Yeah they have no safeties - best is a decocker for SA/DA - but there is no way they go off "accidentally". You have to pull the trigger. The P226 was used by multiple federal agencies and even the SEALs. There's simply no way that round was "accidentally" discharged. Negligently, sure, but that's still manslaughter.

Posted by: trendingdown at December 01, 2017 03:49 AM (OPJ0B)

761 Wow, reading through this RedState article, and they are unironically quoting the San Francisco Examiner saying that the Sig (still don't specify model) has three features prone to accidents. #1 was no safety lever. Guess these dumbasses must not know that almost no Glocks outside of Federal contracts have external safeties, most of the common carry guns (LCP, XDS, M&P, etc) don't have external safeties... so, so what? Then they cite the 4.4 lb trigger in SA. That's a pretty standard weight for any carry gun in America. Glocks are much heavier. And then they cite the decocking lever as being unmarked. Not sure how this leads to accidents?

All that being said, it's not accidental if you put your finger on the trigger and pull - it's negligence. And it's not an automatic pistol, it's semi-automatic, so he would have had to negligently pull the trigger 3 times.

762 BK

That's right: Former San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi went way out of his way to fetch Zarate from the Bureau of Prisons where he was about to be deported, and brought him back to San Fran for a 20 year-old pot charge.

Then they cut him loose because they don't even prosecute current pot charges, let alone 20 year-old ones. Something stinks.

If he'd killed a snail darter, they would have convicted him.

767 Dead pigs will fix this. And dead pig spouses. When they and their families start burning in hell where they belong, they will either find a new career, or decide to actually honor their oath of office.
