Flashback: One Year Ago Tonight, Donald Trump Defeated Hillary Clinton and the GOP Liberal Legacy Donor Class

Good run-down of videos by John Nolte, including Jake Tapper's difficulty in saying "Hillary Clinton needs Wisconsin" rather than "We need Wisconsin." He seems to make this bobble three times.

Some more videos below. I find that going into settings and playing these things at 1.5x speed is the best way to get through them, sometimes even 2x speed.

Reactions:

Trump Wins Florida

Trump Wins Wisconsin

CNN Melts Down When They Realize Trump Has Probably Won Pennsylvania

MSNBC Reacts to the Horror of Trump Winning the Whole Thing

Oh, and if you can only watch one, watch this clip of the most hilariously distraught reactions to Trump's win, mostly from the day after.

This is an old one but a good one, too:

46 November 8th, 2016.

I wish I had a video of me and my reactions from that evening.

Started out in the recliner, after dinner, dishes and the usual evening chores.

Settled in 'bout the time the East Coast polls were closing, and watched the slow but steady roll of the State by State Tetrus cascade of delegates neatly falling into place.

Sipping bourbon slowly, but steadily, my internal warmth increased along with the good warm feeling resulting from the increasingly optimistic news. And conversely, being very self-aware of enjoying my mirth at the exponential increase of the panic and despair evident in the MSM reports.

Glorious. Simply, glorious.

I transformed from a sullen dread, and with every report of another State going Trump, a slow smile appeared, not unlike from The Grinch, as he began to notice the warm glow of love in his strongly beating heart.

By time the Blue Wall states were finally declared, I was well past a mere grin. I was into face-breaking-smile territory, and am not ashamed to admit, not a few real tears of joy at the end.

Our Nation was, at least for a while, saved. A reprieve, a chance for us all to embrace our Founding, our Constitution, and to give thanks to our God for His manifest blessing and for his forbearance of us all.

And then, I stayed awake all through the thing being called in the wee hours, and then a couple hours more, just so I could watch all of the MSM meltdowns on the conventional channels.

Truly, an historic night, and one I hope to remember for the remainder of my days.

And speaking of bourbon, I think tonight deserves an early one.

Join me, please.

Cheers, Horde!

I was watching the returns that night, lying on the couch, and remembered the Florida had gone for Trump, and thought, "this might happen!"
I dozed off, and woke up a little after midnight, and yes, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin had gone for Trump.
The Democrats got schlonged in Ohio. Ha!
And all over the map, she was losing.

I stayed up until 3 or 4 am, and remember when they finally declared Trump the 45th President of the United States. I still couldn't quite believe it, several days later.

Oh, I think we'll see some oddities here and there, but I don't think it will count for much long term. Sluggish economy, jobs, open disdain for whites by sitting politicians, crooked/overwhelming alphabet agencies, who knows.

It's not reliable, though. Not when 50% of whites vote (D) and 50% vote (R). There's not going to be a way for (R)s to win when the other 40% of the rest of the nation reliably votes (D) when they can be bothered to go vote, and their population is growing.

I heard it put really well today, though. Traveling for business and listened to a talk radio station out of Greenville, SC (I think). A caller said to look at the budget and spending of NC since the (R)s took over around 2010 as a rejection of Obama/Obamacare.

Nothing changed. The tax structure changed under (R)s, but spending didn't. (Except it did. It went up, apparently.)

You have to be patient and elect more of those sorts of guys instead of your scary conservatives that call them out."

The republicans should have kicked the dem's dick in the dirt right after trump won and went full steam ahead. The left does it, from that jerkoff Obama saying I won, to Pelosi with her fucking big gavel, and on and on. The only thing the repubs should have said any time a dem complained was fuck you next question.

The dems are scumbags, they should be shaking farts out of bed sheets at the Chinese laundry after trump won, but noooo....

185 It wasn't until November 9th and the next few days that I went on youtube and watched some of the coverage from the major news networks. I think my favorite reactions were from Meagain Kelly and Don Lemon.

186 Not much of a TV watcher, so I didn't see any of those when they were happening. The biggest reaction that I encountered was the Houston Chronicle edition of November 10, 2016. I get their daily electronic replication version, and I swear that the electronic version was sodden with their tears.

And my biggest regret is that I did not go to a newsstand and buy a paper version that day. It would have been worth plasticizing it for posterity.

Nothing changed. The tax structure changed under (R)s, but spending didn't. (Except it did. It went up, apparently.)

That's a bit different than stating all southern states will be blue in 10 years.

Exactly. I actually believe Trump's election will push the hostilities forward and not off by a large amount. Whether he's gone in three years or seven, they've become so unhinged about the whole situation that they're going to go full on draconian when they gain power again. I think it'll be enough to start the fireworks.

If the Democrats take power again, they will be out for revenge against anyone who opposes them.

As I said earlier, a "white nationalist" is now defined as anyone who opposes full-bore 200 proof socialism.

189 Ha! Just watched one of the election night video's and one of the MSM reporterettes was in a panic and yapping about how the Dow futures were crashing, down 500, 800, 2000. IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD! I had almost forgotten about that particular insanity.

Good times. Seeing her utter despair made my day, especially since I made a few bucks off that MSM panic dip.

Which is also a different than me stating that I thought HALF of the southern states would be blue in ten years. I don't think they will be majority blue for 30 or so.

I thought I explained it pretty well with the 50% of 60% of the population part, though.

191 Seriously, though, how do rural voters, assuming ~50% vote (R), keep their states red against their neighbors and all of the growing cities that are 60-80% (D)?

Look at the little blue areas:

https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/north-carolina

I was pretty surprised at the Rocky Mount / interstate into Virginia blue. I'm guessing that's almost exclusively locusts.

192 I couldn't get through all those whiny libs in the day after crap.

Those people are like the crazy ex who has decided the new person isn't good enough their ex and therefore are going to do everything they can to sabotage the new relationship. On top of it, the parents, in the form of the GOPe, are siding with the crazy ex.

194 If I remember correctly weren't we drinking bourbon that night? Glorious night it was, brings tears to my eyes still....I guess we do have something in common with those socialist aholes in the media, we all can cry over that glorious evening.

195 I remember Election Night 2016 fondly. I fell asleep in my desk chair when things were getting tight, and I woke up at, like, 3 AM to see a Flaming Skull post with a headline along the lines of, "Pennsylvania called for Trump; Donald Trump elected President of the United States."

My good mood since that moment has never quite gone away. This has been a very happy year for me!

197 "Cancer in Rats", rodenteria, dates nationally from 1912. Think of media microcephalics as inverse phallic symbols, acolytes of Jeff Davis, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, Josef Vissarionovich Djugashvilli, you'll understand.

198 I watched all these videos last night. It was fun to relive the victory!!

Posted by: Texas Zombie at November 09, 2017 08:12 AM (9YKBM)

199 One think I noticed, watching all of the videos is that they kept pointing to all of the large population centers and brushed off the fact that Trump was winning everything else.

If you want to win PA you need to win more than Philadelphia.

If you want to win WI you need more then Madison

etc.

As time goes by the cities are becoming more isolated and the only support they may have our side their districts is the occasional pocket and possibly the areas that surround the cities - that is it. Bucks Co, north of Philly has turned purple/blue the last 20 years as people of NY and NJ have fled high costs of living and is is possible that PA may wind up like NY with the one corner have such an imbalance of population that the whole state turns blue (see VA) but I don't see that happening in the other states he won.
