The AR attachment on the chain saw is to get very high branches without going up in the tree, so presumably the chainsaw attachment on the AR is for firewood.

Speaking of media embarrassment, I see CNN is reporting that the Air Force academy investigators say a cadet confessed to writing the racial slurs that caused such an uproar a few months ago. Of course, the confessor was also one of the alleged victims of this horrible crime. With racist harassment so common for POC, it's strange they'd ever have to resort to faking it to get attention...

Meanwhile, some of us have been urging the guy who runs the action rifle matches to include an optional bayonet-thrust finale to the short range stages, which are done in a pit. F-16s are small. When they do the "heritage flights" at airshows, pairing WWII fighters with modern-day fighters, the contemporary aircraft dwarf the war-birds. Except for the F-16 - next to a P-51, or a Hellcat, they're not *that* much bigger. F-15s make the war-birds look like toys.

I occasionally argue with leftists on Twitter about gun control.
It's freaking AMAZING how little they understand about the subject. It's incredibly common to find morons who think felons can just walk into a gun show and buy full auto weaponry, no questions asked, no laws broken. On the other side, I just bought a chainsaw that came with an AR-15 attachment. It's pretty cool. The chainsaw cutters pull the trigger as they turn so it's fully-fully automatic.
And, since it's just a chainsaw attachment and not a gun they can slip AR-15 through the chainsaw loophole. The only problem is that I lost two fingers changing magazines ... but I've got eight left, so it's okay. Posted by: ThePrimordialOrderedPair at November 08, 2017 04:44 PM (8gDQu) 474

Posted by: Fritz at November 08, 2017 04:36 PM (Kwhm/) Apropos of nothing Mrs Hades and I went to Colonial Williamsburg a few weeks ago where I visited the gunsmith's shop and saw how they made flintlock rifles. Yes, he had a rifling jig set up in the shop. What I found amazing though was that they actually made the barrels from flat bar stock formed into a tube because they didn't have the means to drill straight holes through round stock. It was pretty cool. Apparently they make a few rifles per year and you can actually buy one. I don't know that I'd want one because flintlock. There is a reason they started using percussion caps. A significant part of the customer flow at indoor ranges are foreigners. Here, usually Asian students from one of the local universities. Yesterday a British couple was renting a handgun as I went in to test my King Cobra and some handloads. The only way it happens is if the GOP sells us out. Even still, I don't think that is possible without an Amendment. Or is it?
The Republicans have sold out. Look at how they've handled illegal immigration. The push to get rid of the EC has begun. It'll get to the point like Immigration did, where Republicans won't want to oppose it b/c they will want to keep their jobs, and getting rid of the EC will be too popular to oppose. I've said it a hundred different ways, but unless we start to match the Dems on messaging and pushback and regain some cultural agency, we are doomed. The GOP should be doing this, and they haven't for Decades. Like the adage says, politics is downstream from culture, and the republicans are losing on that on every front. They don't care. They don't care about the country. They have no plan. Didn't have one for Obamacare. Don't have a fiscal one for the long-term health of the Country, and the short term one is pathetic. I could go on & list all the things where they have failed, but everyone knows. I look at the country and see every institution failing and being co-opted by the Left, SJWs, Marxists. Lately the scabs being picked are oozing pus. Hollywood pedophilia, schools revising history & now the march toward transgenderism form children, the Islam problem, the Republican party &'the Democratic party. So many, so complete in the corruption you can't get a handle on how to change...to reverse course. The media instead of being gatekeepers are now poisonous monsters helping to bring down the country. I feel despondent...overwhelmed by what may be a game already lost. A country lost. Why bother torturing myself reading about it anymore. Shootings in churches where the result is so evil, and then people become hateful toward prayers & victims. People who blame hurricanes on people's political votes. It is all so bad, that I think maybe I should focus on my own life & stop with the news. Live in ignorance since I can't prevent what is coming, b/c the dye is already cast. Even here at ACE, maybe I just read the Art thread and pet thread and ignore the rest. Man, just realized I've written a ridiculously long post. A stream of conciousness. Sorry folks. See ya 'round maybe...at the Art thread. But that would be sexist because only bucks could use it. The other problem is that deer are even dumber than Neil DeGrasse Tyson so the buck would forget what the string was for, try to eat it and end up shooting little Bambi himself.
