CBS Fires Vice President Who Announced She Didn't Have Sympathy for Vegas Victims Because They Were Probably Gun-Toting Trump Voters

I approve.

No free speech for the rest of us, then no free speech for the ruling caste, either.

Plus, this is especially heinous. Getting snarky and mean on Twitter is one thing. Announcing that you're nearly pleased that some Republicans got shot is quite another.

CBS has parted ways with one of the company’s top lawyers after she said she is “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,” when discussing the tragic mass shooting that occurred in Las Vegas late Sunday night.

“This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS. Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families,” a CBS spokeswoman told Fox News.

Out: You will be made to care

In: No, you will be made to care, until you stop making us to be made to care

190 @123 Two officers who engaged and were injured - yeah could have been from street level, but that says a couple of unlikely things:

1. Cops could/would engage 32d floor from the ground - that's a long way for a handgun, if they had rifles, distance wise sure, but there would be a lot of potential for hitting the wrong place - they are just going to shoot at a casino full of people?

2. That engaging from the ground, the shooter was able to pick them out and engage them back.

Other potential answers, I guess. But I would think maybe something like first uniforms to the door knocked and the guy shot at them through door/wall. Then SWAT came up armored and breached and the guy had already done himself at that point. Or, given the wording that the uniforms had "engaged," maybe they shot back through the door/wall and took him down, but did not know it.

He's outlived all of them. When we think about it, you would think you would want that, but to live it - no, it's not a very happy thing at all.

Nowhere but America do horrific large-scale mass shootings happen with

pretend there aren't public policy responses to this epidemic. There
are, and the thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if

maybe, but - most criminals commit an act thinking they're going to get away with it and at least live to tell the tale.

Fair bet that most terrorists commit their thing intending to die from the get go. And for someone committed to die, there's kind of a perverse egoism in doing the final shot themselves, rather than letting law enforcement do it.

290 This shooting thing is not like some apparently not-a-gun-guy humped a "small arsenal" of weapons and a stockpile of ammo, plus a tool to punch out two shatter-resistant plate glass windows, and then looked out the window and said to himself "Whoa, there's huge crowd out there at a country-western concernt. How 'bout I shatter two windows in my two adjacent hotel rooms, unpack my shooting irons, load the magazines, and start killing innocent people?"

Like it was some spur of the moment thing?

I think this event took some planning with a number of people involved.

291 If this was a false flag event, the shooter would have had a AR-15 with a suppressor on it and started popping people one at a time until people finally noticed and panicked. It would hit all the right buttons: legal rifle, scary looking, suppressor.

349 Or consider this: maybe Paddock was a patsy who happened to have rented a room with a good view of the concert. The real (((shooter))) knocked on his door, and moved in with a load of guns. Killed Paddock with one of the guns, arranged a "self inflicted" setup, then moved on to fire on the concert.

The best part of the story is that it happened when I was working the morning shift at my old tv job, so I would have been up since 2:30am, and I am never that sharp in the morning.

Other fun story: Different job. About 17 years ago. Bunch of us returning from work. One of the guys, who was short, dumpy and VERY married, looks at me and says "If I wasn't married, you'd be dating me."

I glance over at him and say, in front of the entire group, which included his two brothers: "I guess that if I had a massive stroke, had absolutely no cerebral activity or congnitive abilities and was utterly and completely brain dead, I might consider going out with you, but that's still not guaranteed."

Strangely enough, there are those that say Soros was behind the Ukraine uprising, which, strangely enough, used snipers.

But hey, I'm sure it was an unstable lone wolf who had large gambling debts.

Because unstable lone wolves with large gambling debts regularly set themselves up with thousands of rounds of ammo and kill country music fans who have nothing to do with said gambling debts.

513 "Are you sure about that?

I would think a hotel would have a deadbolt that could be opened with a master key. "

It's a legal thing - I know in Texas, and I believe most states have similar laws, every dwelling (or hotel room) offered for rent must, by law, be equipped with a keyless deadbolt that can only be activated from the inside.

If hotel management has to get in, they've gotta break the door down. That's the law.

576 196 USC UPDATE: No evidence of shooter on campus, no victims reported, Daily Trojan reports

Time for the hoaxers and mass hysteria.

Speaking of:

The Gazette (Colorado Springs, Colo.) | 2 Oct 2017 | by TOM ROEDER
A Nerf gun battle at the Air Force Academy was reported as shots fired, setting off a campuswide panic Friday night that prompted a lockdown and left cadets huddled under their dorm room desks and some texting their parents goodbye.

Officials at the school say the false alarm, which is under investigation, drove a furor on social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Yikyak, which turned a minor incident into the "War of the Worlds."

Several sources at the academy say the fuse was lit by an innocent battle with Nerf guns at the academy's preparatory school that was reported in a 911 call as an active shooter on the campus of the military school north of Colorado Springs.

"Mass hysteria," said an Air Force Academy officer who wasn't authorized to discuss the event and requested anonymity.

591 Didn't know if this should go in Petty thread. So, posting it here.

OT/ Just saw the shooter's brother interviewed again. He said "there is nothing (to explain it.) It's like an asteroid fell outta the sky. If that happened right now, we would both feel the same."

It is very hard for humans not to have a reason why. B/c it's a lack of control in our world. Also, gun control is another way to get control back. But it is false. This guy would have gotten guns anyway. Again...Chicago.

I don't why this numbnut did what he did. But I think a media that pumps hate & poison 24/7 can seep into a person's soul & do all kinds of damage. JMO.

The attorney did NOT get fired.

She will just be transferred to another wing of the Democrat Party.
