Your Daily Blue Checkmark Mafia Freakout: Trump Retweets Silly Gif of Trump Hitting a Golf Drive and Knocking Hillary With the Ball

The official Democrat political class -- by which I mean "the media" - was in high dudgeon, as were the lesser minions of the Democrat political class, like US Representatives.

This of course is being treated as an actual assault.

This weird-looking retard had to jump in, of course:

Kind of reminds me of Friday's freak-out over Clay Travis saying "boobs" to Brooke Baldwin:

5 Speaking of adult babies:

Berkeley was the starting point of the "Free Speech Movement" back in 1964 -- the fuse that started the '60s leftoid revolution.

The concept is so embedded and sacred in the Berkeley mind that no one ever types out "Free Speech Movement" any more -- everyone just uses the acronym "FSM." If you ask anyone on campus aboutt he greatest thing ever to come out of Berkeley that most influenced the world, it would BE the FSM.

Sooooo....Now some conservatives are holding their own "Free Speech Week" at Berkeley, and WHAT is the official campus response to this??

Behold:
UC Berkeley professors urge campus boycott during ‘Free Speech Week’

"At UC Berkeley, 177 professors and graduate students have signed an open letter urging thousands of colleagues and classmates to boycott campus for four days this month to ensure their “physical and mental safety.”...

“As faculty we cannot ask students and staff to choose between risking their physical and mental safety in order to attend class or come to work in an environment of harassment, intimidation, violence, and militarized policing,” says the letter, adding that some students and employees are particularly at risk: “non-white, gender queer, Muslims, disabled, feminists” and others routinely singled out by the right....

But beyond personal safety, Blocker said, “we will do it massively — as a symbol. If they (the right-wing) are going to be handed the keys to this campus ... then academics will go elsewhere.”
Peter Glazer, an associate professor of theater, dance and performance studies who also signed, said the value of boycotting campus is also to “deny the invited speakers the audience, the trouble, and the kind of press they crave.”

http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/ UC-Berkeley-professors-urge-campus-boycott-during-12202096.php

Somewhere out in deep space, a supernova just became sad because the supernova of hypocrisy emanating from Berkeley surpassed it in intensity.

I have to say, seriously, though, this is trolling on an unprecedented level.

Trump is like the string theory of trolling - it's like the unified theory of trolling, pure physics on a planetary and yet also quantum scale - a trolling so huge, and yet focused, that it has become a singularity of trolling, creating a black hole into another dimension where, obviously, Trump is not only President but will be elected again in 2020.

Hmmm - this might also explain his skill at 11 dimensional chess, come to think of it.

I don't recall. I think this was in a big short stories collection that also had the Langoliers.

You want to know what's really fucky? Having seen the TV version of the Langoliers when extremely young - young enough to get seriously creeped but not remember anything about it. Then, to read the Langoliers as an adult and not know why everything seems so vivid and easy to picture and fucking horrifying.

Yeah, that was me.

Hmmm - this might also explain his skill at 11 dimensional chess, come to think of it.

No genius there. Just the balls to actually do it.

Seriously, if the Horde were given his resources and platforms, we would have the entire Left, much of the center, the professional Right, half of Europe, and a couple of obscure nations everyone forgot existed begging for mercy by quarter's end. But it was Trump who wound up in that position, with the skills and outlook but not really the distilled enmity to the Left.

The Left got lucky. They just don't know it yet.

IIRC Emily's beef is with the fashion industry, and the related print magazines, not with Hollywood.

Which I can see. Because they push what gay guys think is a hot woman. Which can be hot, but pushes androgyny. They put a cap on boobs.

Which is why Sports Illustrated is so important because its swimsuit issue created supermodels that are exactly what most guys want to see, Kate Upton included.

Hollywood wants 'em thin and a little above average in looks.

381 Emily R. has chosen two industries, modeling and acting, that are all about how one looks. Of course people are judging her on her appearance.

If she's been told she was too attractive for a part, there are no doubt many more actresses who were told they were too cute, too fat, too plain, to tall, to short, too ethnic, for the same role. If she wants to be judged on something other than her looks she needs to find a new profession.

382 Scott Adams did a periscope, partly laughing at Trump's tweet, this one and another about "Rocket Man" (little kim)

He got around to saying the White supremacist charge against average white men should be a firing offense, like the n word for blacks, or the b or c word about women. It has really become an evil disgusting charge, used broadly in true bigoted fashion.

It was not always so perhaps, but at this point they try to get people fired or at least afraid to even admit being a Trump voter. They feel entitled, emboldened to break thinks (face, windshield) because even the networks and Hillary trash Trump voters as white supremacists that must be shunned or beaten.

white is the new black ... heh. Adams actually makes the point it is not the same as the "n word" because there is more history of real oppression of blacks, so there is not a moral equivalence. But it is an evil attack based only in undeserved hate and bigotry.

First, because we love it.

Second, because it provokes the Left to rage-stroke, which further discredits them.

Third, it steals the oxygen from the Left and the news cycle.

Fourth, it keeps Trump inside the Left's OODA loop, so they're always trying to catch up to him, always reacting rather than initiating.

Fifth, he'll be accused of anything and everything anyway, so he might as well have some fun with it.

481 I don't think it's 11-D chess, but I also don't think it's without tactical utility.

Yes, it's a juvenile video. Yes, it's juvenile/unprofessional of Trump to tweet it. Yes, it gives the "scolds" fresh ammo to attack Trump...

But they were already doing that anyway. At the cost of basically nothing (anti Trump people bitching about Trump), making this video widely publicized firmly cements in the public eye the images of Trump as Victor and Hillary as Loser.

And, not that Trump gives a damn either way, I think it's good to see boorish behavior by Trump precisely because it DOES devalue the office of the presidency. F*ck the presidency. You're not the God Emperor of Imperial America. You're the chief executive of a republic.

And that in turn ties in to what I've been stewing about all day... these nasty little progressives have turned the Presidency, and the Fed. Gov't at large, into this big ass Ragnarok struggle for the end times. OK, your team lost. Get over it. You can have it back in four years. This is exactly how you combat the 24x7 Trump Hate newscycle, by going around them (social media) and fighting back with humor.

I've read summaries of Riverworld and liked the idea, but I have a problem with Author Acquisition Syndrome, in that I mostly go Full Retard with only one author at a time if I can't pick up a first book in a series.

So far, Farmer has not had his time on the treadmill for me.

I recommend the Riverworld series, its sorta pulpy and fun and very interesting, thoughtful stuff.

Tell him to get a (real, paper, book) dictionary and open a spreadsheet.

Use the spreadsheet to calculate a random page and a random sequence number . . . count the dictionary entries until you hit the random sequence number. Note the word.

Do this two or three more times.

Then write your commentary on Donatello's David, using your randomly selected words prominently.

Guaranteed passing grade.

The problem used to be that a gay guy who did that might end up getting his ass pounded and not in the way he would prefer. But nowadays, a straight guy who did that would get into serious trouble and the courts would not be sympathetic. I would not be surprised if gay guys, especially after a few drinks, are bolder than they used to be. They are a protected minority now.

The notable weird stuff are:

Image of the Beast/Blown: (Traitor to the Living has the same protagonist but he has almost no memory of the earlier events and the book really isn't related in most meaningful ways.) Full on descent into late 60s hedonism in a story that doesn't pull any punches across the two volumes.

A Feast Unknown: Tarzan )Lord Grandrith vs. Doc Savage (Doc Caliban), again with no punches pulled. Every outlandish whim is carried out. There are a pair of non-pornish sequels, The Mad Goblin and Lord of the Trees, that pick up simultaneously to follow the respective characters in their traditional styles, with both meeting up at the end to tell the same climactic battle from each perspective. It's a great writing exercise.

Short stories. I cannot recall the title but a collection from the 80s had some pretty wild short stories.

LOL. For a while there, those poor old nerdly guys were really having a mass mid-life crisis.

Donaldson is the one with the hate, hate, SM, hate.
Posted by: mustbequantum at September 18, 2017 04:14 PM (MIKMs)

Donaldson's duology, 'Mirror of her Dreams' and 'A Man Rides Through' are two of my favorite books. But they are very different from his Thomas Covenant books.

Pretty sure it will vaporize if you do that.

596 Posted by: John Ringo, contemplating another Paladin of Shadows book

John Ringo has something awry in his brain compulsion-wise and I'm not even kidding. His muse-function seems to be that he gets an idea, any idea, and literally cannot write anything else until it has issued forth and he's licked off the afterbirth.

He didn't even want to publish Ghost according to him: Jim Baen beat it out of him because he *knew* John had finished writing something and didn't care what it was.

Similar with his Monster Hunter books. He got the idea to write one and what he would write, and basically surprised Larry Correia with them.

"Is it okay if I write a short story?"
"Uh, I guess?"
"Uh, what if it's a novel?"
"Sure, sure"
"Uh, what if it's three novels?"
"Three...?"
"And what if I already wrote them?"
"What."

597 #80 It looks like the CCleaner hack's not that bad---see the sock link for non-MSM report. The Avast company got onto it right away; just one, recent version; and one source for it that was shut down if I'm reading the article correctly.

Maybe an HQ I.T. type can confirm the report for us?

It may not be dignified presidential behavior, but it's genius. You can tell it was effective by how much the MSM is crowing about it.

Right Lizzy. This was suppose to be week two of HerShit Happens book tour. Instead tonight she will have to sit on the SC show and wear the yoke of the oxen.

602 #597 Addendum: BTW, I was just at PC World's twitter feed looking for CCleaner information and there's a tweet about (paraphrasing) "If anyone calls saying they're from Equifax, it's a fraud; do not give them any personal information etc."

605 I cannot think of Farmer as an aging nerd type. The heavy duty porn stuff was written in his prime and he was married to what was reputedly a strikingly beautiful woman. Harlan Ellison wrote of his first meeting with the Farmers, going into detail about how they stood out from the crowd and that at first he thought they were actors mixing with the writers rather than a pro and his wife themselves.

In all seriousness, I have run hot water through a keyboard in the tub and let it sit and dry a week, worked fine. Good for if you get something sticky like cola or sugared tea in the keys.

612 Dilbert Scott Adams says that by year end the Narrative will shift to "Trump is competent, we just don't like what he's doing." The first phase was Trump is Hitler, the second that Trump is incompetent.

I've said that Trump has Mad Media Skilz, and will prove a Giuliani-like pragmatist.

He speaks tomorrow to the UN General Assembly. I expect he'll throw down a gauntlet over the NORKs. Something like "support a true embargo with a blockade." Else the US, Japan and the SORKs will be compelled to do it on our own.
