Here's something you don't see every day. An editor at the NY Times has written an opinion piece criticizing the leaders of the Women's March. Author Bari Weiss is the staff editor of the NY Times Opinion section. She writes as someone who supported the Women's March and its four leaders but who also finds their extremism troubling... There is absolutely no unifying force behind the left except for hatred and demonization of its tribal enemies. What unites the self-called "Party of Love" except its virulent hate?Ms. Mallory, in addition to applauding Assata Shakur as a feminist emblem, also admires Fidel Castro, who sheltered Ms. Shakur in Cuba. Hi all. Update on Dad. (he has no wifi at his
house.) He will need 24 hr supervision until at least Aug. 15. I have
been staying there and brother has been there daily to give me a break.
Home health was there today and seems he has some A-fib. However you
spell that. His GP wants to see him at 3:30 today for that as if it is a
problem, it is a new one. He is still somewhat confused and doesn't
remember that he was in the hospital for 5 days. Seems to be getting
better tho. I am praying for that. Half of one lung is gone now and
breathing is a little shallow sometimes. FUCK cancer.
My prayers are with you, Fenelon and family!

That and tax deductible "Savings account" type cuts (like for medical expenses!) that actually do affect them at the paycheck level.
I am all for "starving the beast" and not punishing entrepreneurs, but often times the GOP can't make the argument without the Left sniveling about "The Super Rich", as if an inheritance tax on assets that means breaking up the family farm, ranch, or even restaurant in the more expensive cities is really "punishing the super rich."
Which is what I like about Trump, and to a lesser extent I liked about Rick Santorum back in the day when he was running: putting supply side free market economics into working class terms.

For many urban/coastal Dem types, their absurd and cartoonish delusions of what the GOP "stands for" or would do substitute for believing *in* anything the Dems pretend to stand for.

I would largely agree. Trump was the first Republican really ever to start making case against limiting immigration and suddenly we won states the GOP hadn't won in like 30 years.
I also think conservatives have to make its economic pitch look like its benefiting Main Street instead of Wall Street. H1 visas and green cards goes right along with that in addition to tax plans.

During FDR, the WH was literally falling apart. It was getting dangerous, and in danger of collapse. During Truman's administration, the completely gutted it and rebuilt on the inside. They used some of the original finish stuff to recreate the rooms, and maybe some of the original timbers that were still good.
There's the some pictures of the inside of the thing completely gutted with construction equipment inside. Only the outer stone walls were still standing.

What woman hasn't done that with their boyfriend or husband? I had a boyfriend who, once he found out I am very ticklish, took advantage of that. I'd shout out "No! No! Stop!" and he knew to before I got pissed, but he just liked hearing me laugh. I expect that this was the same sort of horseplay and some bitter female SJW reported it.
Goes with my earlier comment. The SJW's words were "I'm concerned about abuse and violence against women" but what she really meant was "I'm jealous as hell because I don't have a football player boyfriend horsing around with me and I can't stand to see them happy and having fun."

When the Trumans first moved in, the floors were sagging and "heaving". Chandeliers would sway and tinkle and scared the hell out of Bess.
There were reports back during FDR's tenure that the place was falling apart, but FDR ignored them.
In January of 1948, Truman got a report that the WH Second Floor was in imminent danger of collapse.
Truman covered it up until he won reelection, and then made it public, and the reconstruction project was started. It took about 3 years.

Hillary berated Foster in large White House group meetings for all of the fuck-ups of the early Clinton administration until he put a bullet in his head. That's no conspiracy theory. She called him an incompetent hick who the Clintons should have left back in Arkansas, and not ready for prime time. She literally hounded him to death over matters that were really Hill and Bill's own fuck-ups (e.g. Travelgate).
That's the real story, and if widely known would have killed Hillary's career years ago.
