Here's A Take On The "Transgender" Ban From Someone Who Has Been The Tip Of The Spear

This is one man's experience, but what he says makes sense, and doesn't apply just to "transgenders." Wounded Warrior's 17-Tweet Tirade Is Getting Attention for Its Explanation of Trump's Transgender Ban. Psychological stability seems like it is a reasonable prerequisite for military service. Even some stable and mature men see combat and come home with significant psychological issues. It is simply rational to restrict entry into the military to those who are emotionally even-keeled and best able to handle the stress of combat.

I have stolen OregonMuse's idea and made the tweet storm easier to read....

  • I served in Iraq in 2006. For the first five months I was on a 12 man firebase out in the middle of nowhere in the desert.

  • Everyday was Groundhog Day. Wake up and do the same patrols, the same shifts, every single day. It was so damn hot. 150° in the gun trucks.

  • Tracer fire would go overhead occasionally at night. IED's on the road were a daily threat. We got resupplied food every 8 days.

  • QRF was an hour away. After they made the minimum three gun truck rule after the guys got kidnapped, life got harder.

  • The stress of being out there and doing the same job every single day eats away at you. The younger guys had problems with that overtime.

  • Any tiny little personal issue they had suddenly became a mountain. And that shit came out on that fire base. And they snapped mentally.

  • After stepping on each other's nuts living in the same can for five months, guys were at each other's throats. The stress made it worse.

  • Guys would literally snap over a dear John letter. Their personal issues came out and they were instantly combat ineffective.

  • Now take someone confused about whether they are a man/woman. Take those psychological and emotional issues and put them in that environment

  • Take someone who is right off the bat not uniform or part of the same team. Give them special treatment because of their identity.

  • Take that person, put them in that stressful war environment and watch what happens. It's a fucking ticking time bomb.

  • You have to be incredibly tough mentally, physically and emotionally. War is not a fucking video game. It tests every ounce of your being.

  • You can't teach someone to be a fearless warrior in a fucking PowerPoint. You either have it or you don't. You can hack it or you can't.

  • We had guys who couldn't. When faced with combat situations they crumbled. They had mental and emotional issues. They were a liability.

  • To be successful at war, you have to become a warrior mentally, physically, and emotionally. You can't fake it and go through the motions.

  • In war if it comes down to kill or be killed, and you hesitate, you're dead. It's a simple as that. It's not a fucking video game.

  • War is no place for people who are mentally, emotionally, or physically confused or in turmoil. You have your shit together, or you don't.

  • And if you don't, you'll just get people needlessly killed. Political correctness has absolutely no place in the military.

  • Enough for now. This one armed veteran has a business to run. Unlike Iran, the country that took my arm, Obama didn't pay me millions.

14 Good post.

Also, some of those guys coming back and telling everyone they're really supposed to be a woman, that's also a psychological reaction to the process.

In other words, less about what they brought into the war zone, and more about what they took out. Or left behind.

Sending people IN with that on their minds is crazy and stupid and as everyone with any amount of sense can tell you, it is counter purpose to the reason we have a military: to kill effectively.

Now, as we know, there are many people who join the "military" to be civilians in uniform. If you want to say after you joined that you like wearing panties and bras under your uniform, we'll find a REMF job for you. There are plenty of those.

No reasonable person or group would file a lawsuit against Catholic Nuns, or try to force pedophile Scoutmasters, or chicks with dicks in a dress and a three day shadow into a kind of "Choose Your Own Adventure" bathroom system. Meanwhile, the Republicans, who own 3/3rds of government, can't manage the votes to stop federal funding of an organization in the business of harvesting dead baby parts to sell for profit. In fact, the courageous whistleblowers who brought these atrocities to light are the ones who are worried about prosecution. Pretty wacky if ya ask me.

It all boiled down for her that since the military prescribes Viagra, then they should do the same for the transgender crowd.

I think it's something that can be explained in personality theory, ie, "Thinking" vs. "Feeling." Liberals are generally Feeling types.

Not really sure how this argument is every solved, since Thinkers tend to use "logic and facts" while Feelers use "teh feelingz."

When things get really bad, maybe the anwwer is for Thinking types to just verbally beat down Feeling types and tell them over and over how disagreeaing with them is making them "feel bad." And by "verbally beat down" I pretty much mean "yell at them and make them cry because by disagreeing with you, a Thinkier, the Feeler has really ,really hurt your feelingz."

It probably won't accomplish much, but you'll guilt them into feeling bad and crying.

69 I wasn't in the military, did oilfield work in my 20's instead. But I know firsthand how you never know how people will react to stress. We had military levels of stress I've been on a well having an H2S blowout where we all wearing respiration tanks, and the nature of that stuff is that if your mask slips, you'll be dead in 15 seconds. And for a few years it was my job to defuse any explosives we sent downhole that didn't go off for some reason. I had wired them up, so at least I knew they didn't have any booby traps, but it was still interesting.

I was one of those odd birds that actually felt more and more calm the more stress I was under - it gave me clarity. Having peace and quiet and no demands is what made me want to drink and do dissipatory stuff. (yeah, adrenaline junkie probably)

But I did see plenty of men, who seemed like any other men, who would just fall apart mentally as soon as any real pressure was put on them. Really starts to show up when you cross the 48 hours without sleep mark.

Virtue signaling won't help them. It makes me look good. I think there ways to help people, that takes effort, hard work, and determination. Liberals don't actually believe any of their BS, it's a way of harnessing political power. The more people who are dependent on government, as "victims", they can play middleman. That's why they have to find a scapegoat, someone to blame, for all these victims. It's all couched in pseudo-science and technical mumbo-jumbo the true believers can recite verbatim while they get their degree in advanced Butthurt Studies at our once proud institutions, on your dime.

Posted by: Common Tater at July 30, 2017 12:51 PM (wOZdC)

73 I'm like a nerd. I've been obsessing over Wagner's Ring Cycle lately. Clearly, Wagner was heavily influenced by Nietzche.

In the second act of Die Walkure, Woton has a lengthy argument with his wife Fricka in which she upholds traditional morality condemning the adultery of Woton's children Siegsmund with Sieglinde since Sieglinde is already married to Hunding (not to mention that they are brother and sister). Woton accused her of being imprisoned by traditionalism but she eventually convinced him to betray and abandon Siegsmund despite his belief that only Siegsmund can prevent the prophesied defeat and death of the gods, including himself and Fricka. Eventually (in Gotterdammerung) that betrayal does lead to the death of the gods.

Is Wagner, who led a non-traditional lifestyle, arguing that only by abandoning traditional rules of morality can we escape society's destruction? If so, that may help to explain Hitler's worship of Wagner. And Hitler's abandonment of traditional morality didn't work out too well for him.

I don't know. Is it really a good idea for people with PTSD to own guns?
My BIL had a nervous breakdown and suffered from depression. He wasn't a soldier, but he did hunt, and my sister made him get rid of all his guns--which he did, without a fight.

75 I forgot where I saw a article on this breakdown of trans genders already serving in the military yesterday. Guesses went all over the place ftom a independent organization's 2,500, the militarys guess maybe -5,000 to x Navy Seal TG 100,000.
But then odd balls always assume everyone is like them.

He's a looker as long as you don't probe too deeply. **cough**

He is deeply depressed because a) his mother just died, which is clearly understandable, but b) he can't get dates. I don't see his love life taking off, because normal men and women won't have anything to do with him.

I feel sorry for him, I really do.

There is no such thing as transgender. Our species comes in 2 varieties, male and female.

For those who are confused as to which they are, help is available to resolve this mental/emotional issue.

The military is absolutely the wrong place for ANY type of social experimentation, thus all transgender claimants MUST be purged.

89 This is the most truth filled series of observations about the Military, combat and the troops I have ever read.
I have seen it happen, bad news from home and troops/sailors snap and start to see everyone as their foe.
The least little word, poor remark or innocent jibe can become a killing event.
To introduce the various genders and sexual preferences is more than just allowing females and different races it adds to the stress and the focus of someones misdirected ire.
A person who is a male but thinks, wishes to be female or vice versus is not stable enough to be a combat soldier nor to be involved with soldiers who are not so confused about their sex and gender trying to stay alive, in one piece and mentally well while trying to win a war and battle.
This integration might be good for a peacetime military but for one that has been at war since 2000 it is suicide.
It's hard enough to stay sane when you are only fighting the enemy, impossible while fighting home, and undergoing social engineering.

Interestingly enough, Paul Watkins, who was a member of the "Manson Family" described this in an early 1970s interview. He first mentioned all the drugs they did - he was quite stoned in the interview natch. "We did Acid, Mescaline, Belladonna, Peyote, Hashish - we never did any hard drugs"

He said that Charlie made everyone perform sex acts "everything a guy could do to a guy" and "everything a girl could do to a girl" etc. He made them absolutely with conscience or empathy whatsoever. "Death is Life", and committing suicide at the moment of orgasm was "groovy" and sticking forks in pregnant women was "outtasight" etc. The guy really knew how to brainwash people. Had one or two homo's that we kept in the BAS as a public service. Had them do paperwork and keep out of trouble.

155 So here are some interesting tidbits. This all seems perfectly normal to me.

Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who met with Donald Jr and Kusher, is an agent of the Kremlin according to William Browder, the guy who testified in front of the Senate last week about Russia and Fusion GPS.

One of her clients is Sberbank Capital, a Russian government owned bank that is being badly hurt by the imposition of the Magnitsky Act sanctions. There goal and her goal is the removal of those sanctions.

Natalia also worked with Fusion GPS on previous Russian lobbying efforts.

John Podesta got 75,000 shares of Sberbank which he failed to disclose a couple years ago.

Hillary Clinton came out agains the Magnitsky Act while she was Sec of State and while Bubba was getting huge dollars for a speech he gave in Russia to Renaissance Capital, another Putin front.

There is absolutely no way that people as politically connected in DC and with the Russian government as Podesta and Clinton didn't know about the Fusion GPS and Natalia V. scams. In fact, they profited personally from them.

--------

There is a pre-enlistment physical, yes. And some informal assessment by recruiters, background investigations etc. And if course, Basic Training, or Boot Camp itself. Lack of sleep, and heavy physical exertion, unfamiliar environment, can be stressful for a lot of people. It's DEFINITELY not for everybody. And active duty life even in peacetime is very stressful at times. Basically, whatever a lefty loosey liberal claims is almost certainly Grade A Bullshit, when it comes to how the military should be run.

Even a Draft would smoke out a lot of these folks. I know you'll hear claims that a draft isn't needed/wanted, but then, neither were homosexuals or transexuals and the rest of it. A draft across the board makes everybody have real skin in the game, and people might start to notice again what the hell our military is doing. And just as importantly - not doing.

How is it we protect borders in countries we can't even pronounce, yet leave our own borders wide open? The whole thing is insane. Cue the Republicans to trot out admonitions against "isolationism" and "world leader" and "xenophobia" and all the other thought ending cliches.

The Russians named their tit-for-tat legislation after an adopted Russian child who was left 'forgotten' in a car for nine hours by an American. They could have named it after a Russian child procured for sexual abuse by an American gay couple ------- but they PULLED THEIR PUNCHES. Surprising.

Yes, the Iranian supplied IED's were horrible, they were precisely machined explosively formed projectiles that blew through the armor of vehicles like a hot knife through butter. The Iranians (Hezbullah) also provided Passive Infra Red triggers to the Shi'a insurgency too. Out west in Anbar, they tried the EFP's but did not have the machining capability to make them effectively. Fortunately for the Sunni insurgencies, Saddam left them millions of pounds of artillery and mortar rounds that they could use instead.

I certainly have very little interest in living to see the final ruination of my country, but unless I croak off in the next few years, I probably will.

Too many people in this country have a kind of death wish, wishing to annihilate their personal existence, their own personal moral values, so that they will be found to be socially acceptable.
Living in a moral desert, seemingly alone, while surrounded by the pop culture society where everyone looks like they are having "fun" is a tough road to hoe for a lot of people.

229 I remember the late Phyllis Schlafly discussing this on CSPAN back in the 1980's. She said that after they normalized gay marriage, the next goal was to normalize pedophilia.
And this was in the 1980's, when she discussed this.

Posted by: Bossy Conservative
________

I remember what an openly gay guy said to me in college:

He will marry another man, and they will have a child. They will both be biological parents. This will be done by creating a zygote from two sperm.

Continuing (and with my apologies to LASue @ 129) he said the chances were 2-to-1 that their child would be a son. The possible chromosome configurations would be XX (girl), XY (boy) and YX (boy). Quoting from memory here: "The other possibility, which is 1 in 4, is a YY chromosome monster which of course would have to be aborted."

He said it all with the matter-of-fact tone one usually uses for an unremarkable weather report.

For at least one homosexual person, this has been the plan (or at least part of the plan) all along. This was 1984, give or take a year.

233 The Mooch started strong last week and I wanted to like him.

Then he went unhinged. He had a son earlier this week by the wife who served divorce papers on him later this week. Which may explain his rant to The New Yorker mid-week. Don't tell me this was planned. He embarrassed himself and Trump.

The Mooch's bigger issue is that a Chinese outfit with mysterious government connections, which Big US Banks won't deal with, wants to overpay for his business. The Mooch still needs the same kind of approval that Hillary got for that uranium sale -- which is why the Mooch hasn't officially joined the WH yet. And he wants favorable tax treatment that he's no longer entitled to. This is a scandal waiting to happen, and the Mooch didn't do himself (or Trump) by making himself so hot so early.

I have a hard-on for this self-fellater because I'm a Bannon guy -- the Mooch is with Ivanka.

It's not that pedophilia, or bestiality, or any other sexual abnormality is their "goal", per se, but that the further they can drive the culture in that direction, the easier it is to convince the masses at large to be OK with absolutely sub-human, evil things. Like socialized medicine. Like civil-asset forfeiture. Like rounding up all those deplorables one glorious day and shoving them into bio-electric fluid vats to use as a power source.

You know, that kinda thing.

239 Most of the lefts "success" is not a matter of permanence. It seems like it, and this part of the momentum, and part if the scam - "right side of history" and all. They are also absolute professionals at making the majority, the normal, good people - believe that they are the minority, while at the same time providing the illusion that a tiny minority of crackpots are the majority and "thought leaders" and wave of the future.

Now you know what all those "think tanks" have been doing, the institutes for social research, etc etc. But humans can be molded and turn on a dime - whether for good or for evil. THAT is why they are entering their totalitarian phase, to try and hold the "gains" they've made, to crush any dissent, and to criminalize even a discussion of alternative viewpoints. They know damn well their support is miles wide but only nanometers thick. Bradley turned Chelsea can easily be lead into burning their house down. After all, they created this monster - they know better than most how easy it is, and how fragile the society is.

And of course, unions and other organizations are not kind to conservatives.

I think conservatives should focus on administration in schools instead of teaching. In that position you can shape curriculum, hiring, firing, etc. Its work that will attract conservatives more with a sense of work, logic, order, etc.

And there's no more at bats. It seems like all you find are the damaged goods, the harpies, the serpents, the bitches, and the women who seem wonderful then pull out the long knives.

Something about 'those who can... do... while those who can't - teach'. It became 'a thing' when the economy was going gangbusters. Those 'who could' made a ton of money.

The left snuck into those low-paying teaching positions and took over.

At the end of my career I did somewhere around a half a decade in private school teaching, but was completely outnumbered and unprepared. Walked away with a left-wing whispering campaign all over my ass which ultimately tore the school apart and it failed as the core of conservative parents refused to believe the left and kept their kids and dollar$ away. When these people on the left play for control, they are playing for keeps.

In my immediate family and all of my inlaws families, everyone in my generation and our parents' generation has been married once, and have been married for decades.

Posted by: Slippery Slope Salesman at July 30, 2017 02:17 PM (EgwCt)

Know what you mean, but I'm not buying it. For one thing, the choice for most people isn't simply between taking a "low wage" teaching job and earning a shit load of money. Not everyone who doesn't teach is raking in the big bucks, and in case you haven't heard, teaching these days is not a "low-wage' job. Not in this economy. Teachers are doing very well, and if they aren't exactly pulling down Wall Street money, they have summers off, retire early and have great pensions and benefits. And most of them seem to be married to other teachers--or cops, firemen and other public service employees whose wages have shot up out of all proportion to reality. And all these salaries and pensions are what's making the taxes sky high.
Of course, I'm in NJ so mileage may vary..

All good points.

You can add to that list that tenure makes them all but unfireable, regardless of performance.

Posted by: Malcolm Tent at July 30, 2017 02:27 PM (GiRFl)

279 The big kahuna in all of this was the quiet insistent push by the left to have "reassignment" surgery made into a free service-connected benefit.

Those surgeries are ridiculously expensive. And the person thus "transitioning" is in a condition for quite a while where they would simply not be deployable or combat-effective. A double whammy to military funding and readiness.

But wait! There's more! Now how much would you pay!

Imagine ordinary civilian puke Snuffy wants to be Sybil instead. Can't afford the choppadickoffame procedure. Snuffy signs up at the recruiting station and becomes PFC Snuffy. Then declares he's "transitioning" and gets his "free" reassignment surgery.

Then imagine that PFC Sybil isn't happy with the outcome. As so many trannies are not. The hard reality doesn't match the glossy fantasy. "She" can't pass. Becomes depressed and suicidal. Can't perform duties in the service. Can't hold down a job on civvy street either.

Well, as a former VA benefits counselor helpfully pointed out to me, guess what? That psychiatric debilitation is in and of itself a "service-connected disability" because it was incurred while Snuffy/Sybil was on duty in the ranks. So we then get to pay decades of disability benefit to such individuals even if they never were anywhere near any strenuous service or actual combat.

305 "Here where I live in Georgia, average teacher salary is $51,000 before bonuses and benefits."

The big benefit in becoming an educrat where I live is having an iron-rice-bowl job all the way through a cushy retirement.

Dismissal for cause essentially does not exist, even for utterly incompetent teachers who demonstrably cannot do the jobs for which they were hired.

However, the one thing which does cause teachers to get fired here in Commiefornia is when districts downsize due to a lack of pupils.

That is one BIG-ASS reason why the education-industrial complex lined itself up behind the open borders movement. As long as youths are here in this country, illegally or not, the black-robed radicals have ruled that they must be educated at public expense.

The teachers need as many young warm bodies as possible to keep their racket rolling along. And they'll perforce happily endorse the fiction that a Guatemalan gang member who's obviously in his late 20s or early 30s is actually eleven.

________

That's when I start filling in the gaps with my imagination.

The Statue of Liberty is 110 years older than the USA -- so the baby is not hers. Whose is it, then? And why does she have a gun?

The gun is easy. Lady Liberty lives on the rough side of town -- New Jersey, on the Hudson -- so she packs for protection. She's also drawn to look like a high school girl, so she was probably at her prom.

As to whose baby it is -- I don't know, and neither does Liberty. She found the baby in a trash can. Someone at the prom had this baby, swaddled it in a flag, and abandoned it out back. Probably that psycho bitch Columbia.

Before Lady Liberty became an icon, Columbia was a common personification of America. But she snapped. Refer to the main topic of this post.
; in Columbia's case, it was the Civil War. Some females, even of the quasi-mythological variety, are evil, and some are crazy. Columbia is certifiable, and unpredictable. So Liberty asks herself, Who knows what she'll do? So Liberty carries.

As for Columbia, no one knows what happened to her. She was leading settlers out West about 140 years ago. It's ben rumored that she's been stirring trouble in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Some people said she's the one who started the race riots in Newark. I don't know. I wish her well, but for now you can count me on Team Liberty.

Perhaps. I'm a results oriented person, and somehow all of my immediate family and inlaws have had successful long term marriages. Some of my close friends screwed up their starter marriages but got their second marriages right.

What are we all doing that causes this success? I dunno, but I do know that the women aren't men haters, and the men aren't women haters. That way leads to failure, in my experience. Yes, it's just a personal observation, but my parents certainly were and are good role models, and I think that's key. As I said, I'm extremely blessed.

Because I used the phrase "American Revolution". She told me it was redundant, because there was only one revolution.

Fast forward about 25 years and this same teacher has been affirmative-actioned up through the ranks and has become the principal of the high school I attended. It is in this position in which she is hoisted upon the PC petard and immediately fired when she tells two students who claim to be in a lesbian relationship that they are going to hell.

351 250 I think working with kids and education tends to attract leftists more (shaping minds, a sense of power, changing the world, etc its all fantasies of power and such) and its not easy to make it through the required college degrees with your conservatism intact, for young people at least. And of course, unions and other organizations are not kind to conservatives.
*******

I think it depends on the program and the instructors. I got my teaching certificate when programs were welcoming older students who had previous careers. So my classes had IT techs, technical writers, a chemical process operator, etc. when I went to Wayne State, most of the instructors worked in schools, so the special ed instructor was the principal at the local school for the deaf, the reading instructor was expert at selecting textbooks (and explained why Texas and California dictate what other states can get), and the adolescent psychology prof was a child psychologist.

They were instructors that could tell you about how to teach when your school has no materials, what to do when a kid comes into your class midway through a marking period, and how educational fads were going to come and go.

Those were really helpful classes. Then a few years later I attended another college for re-certification. I ended up with professors who did research or consulted in classrooms but weren't day-in-day-out classroom teachers. A couple were excellent, but I got really tired of being told that students asking off-the-wall questions were "teachable moments" (no, they're similar to kids avoiding bedtime). And the guy who compared our schools unfavorably to New Hampshire schools (his state) based on statistics like state test scores and whenever a teacher explained how a method hadn't worked in class, he'd say it was "anecdotal evidence".

What's the next Stupidity we'll need to make a case against?

TOO EASY.

Answer: Trans-species people who want to join the military as working dogs. It's coming. Bet on it.

As my wife noted this morning, there's no end to it for two reasons primarily. On the macro level all leftist/pathologies/agendas are geared to sowing chaos and the eventual destruction of capitalism and western civilization. On a smaller scale, it is the need of special snowflakes to be acknowledged as "special and unique". Once their particular pathology is normalized, there is a need to go next-level to achieve the shock and outrage they crave so badly.

I have no discernable special skills or abilities, so notice me because I covered my body with tattoos. Now notice me because I had my appearance surgically altered to appear to be a demon, another gender or an animal. Normalize THAT!

OK, now I had a perfectly good leg removed so I can take on the mantle of disabled "victim". Now I had my skin darkened to take on the persona of victimized "person of color".

And on and on it goes. There is nothing you can think of, no matter how insane, that doesn't loom as the next damn thing. That's why adults need to draw a line NOW, before the next group of disturbed idiots gets the next idiocy going.

This is a good start.

>>Soros also financially supported The John S. McCain Institute For Being A Pompous Lying Shitheel (which seems to exist to hold "civic affairs forums" in luxury resorts in Sedona featuring prominent "public intellectuals" like Ben Affleck).

>>So it seems pretty likely that there must be some Soros back channel involving Fusion GPS, too. The tentacles reach everywhere.

Ever heard of Lynn Forester de Rothschild? Very wealthy and almost fanatical supporter of Hillary Clinton. When Obama scholnged Hillary in 08, Rothschild who was a member of the DNC planning committee, famously refused to support Obama and threw her support to McCain.

She was going to support Romney but then supported Huntsman at least until he got beaten in the primaries. She eventually support Obama. In 2012, Fusion GPS started going after Romney mega donors with all sorts of wild and false allegations which were even listed on Obama's official website.

Of course, she went bigly for Hillary against Trump.

Rothschild is also the head of the John McCain foundation. Her hubby is an to an enormous banking fortune and very involved with the David Miliband in the UK. It was a retired British spy who put the bogus dossier together.

Randy Scheunemann ran a lobbying firm in DC for a long time and is a top McCain foreign policy advisor. He was also on the payroll of George Soros and did lobbying for his Open Society crap. He also did work for guys like Tony Blair and I'm sure Miliband.

The McCain foundation does these stupid Sedona conferences where the smart set sits around and contemplates the problems of the world. It's full of lefties and one world government types including Amy Klobuchar and Sheldon Whitehouse. And of course both the Rothschilds and Randy Scheunemann. Hillary has spoken at these events, so has Tony Blair and even assholes like James Clapper.

This years version went heavy on Russia and the usual suspects were all there. McCain is the only Republican I know of that had the Russia Dossier before it went public.

This is true and it's the real reason why groups of male friends "break-up" when they get married--or even start going "steady" with girls. the boys can josh and joke with each other and call each other names and make remarks about dick-size or whatever, but the girls don't laugh along and before you know it.....
On the other hand, I've seen these same girls take these same guys ( their husbands or boyfriends) and break their balls viciously and wear them down to a nub within a few years--all the while cheating on them.
Posted by: JoeF. at July 30, 2017 02:05 PM (7uYFy)

Uh, I can only comment from experience here, but j's friends didn't spend the same amount of time together because they were busy with their spouses & kids, and were way more serious about their jobs to employ them. And as for cheating, I didn't know of any of the wives cheating. But a quarter of the married men were. How did I know? I saw it firsthand.

427 281 Teachers do earn pretty good money especially for the amount of time off they get, and yeah tenure is extremely valuable. Plus, once you have your lesson plan set, its mostly just running down the same list again each class.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 30, 2017 02:29 PM

I have to correct you on that last point. Just a few weeks ago I met a NC math teacher. His lesson plans CANNOT be the same or he will get called onto the carpet. I think that's a little extreme because I have some activities that work well and are popular with the kids.

That said, my lesson plans never work the same because I have different kids each year. The last two years, my evaluator was surprised to see that my lesson plans also included notes like "3rd hour will do X instead", but that happens when a class is different from the others (like the one I had with only fifteen students but eight had probation officers).

I had a principal with the bright idea of having all teachers put their lesson plans in a database so he could just take them and give them to new-hires. We've done this for three years. First thing he noticed now that 1/4 of the teachers must replaced? Not a single year matches!

I am struggling right now with trying to figure out the curriculum and plans that were handed off to me (new subject, and the curriculum comes from another state). It seems awfully simple. An experienced teacher told me she had to supplement it, meaning she writes grammar lessons and adds essay-writing practice because the curriculum is so basic.

BTW tenure doesn't count in my state. If my evaluation is better than another teacher with seniority, I can bump her. My senior (about six years more) changed career paths suddenly after our administration decided to give her my classes and me, hers. Guess she doesn't want to work 10-12 hour days to differentiate instruction!

Ash trees are being decimated by the emerald ash borer, imported from China in wood skids (pallets, whatever) about 15 year ago. Killed all the ash trees on my street.
Baseball bats are made out of either hickory or hard maple if ash isn't available or chosen by players.
Players have preferences. Wood can have a different feel to different players.
Hard maple, in particular, doesn't chip as much as ash, but can sometimes shatter more easily. And a lot of the ash isn't as good as it once was.

Heh, yep, and it's about dealing out justice to some very bad people. To paraphrase Mattis again, it's fun to kill some people, guys who've been slapping around women for not wearing a veil. I could never be a leftist.

I keep thinking about this discussion on Nextdoor I was on yesterday. A mom with three young children is uneasy about all the homeless men suddenly turning up her alley. She feels sorry for them but doesn't want them there. Other women and one conservative man chime in agreeing that their situation is unfortunate, but there are numerous good shelters and it's unsafe to have those guys living in the alley. One woman says she always carries a gun just in case, even though she knows the vast majority of homeless aren't violent.
Lefty man gets on and freaks out, having trouble understanding why the moms are a little uneasy about having strange men with mental and substance abuse issues lurking around their homes. He says they just need to be talked to or left alone. Yeah, buddy, whatever.

says they just need to be talked to or left alone. Yeah, buddy,
whatever.

I've become convinced that leftists live in some kind of fantasy land that has enough congruence with the real world to allow them to function, in some cases very well, almost all of the time, but it isn't the real world. Take this guy, for example. If the homeless guys were living in his alley, he might not have a problem with them being there. They may very well be able to live and let live indefinitely. But there's a nonzero probability that one or more of them is going to mug him, steal his stuff left outside, break into his house and steal his stuff inside, or at the very least leave stinking shit in the alley. Is that a price he's willing to pay to live in a fantasy land where those things don't happen? I wonder. I think some of them are willing to pay that price, because they're brainwashed to the point where they think it's acceptable. But those who can be brought to reality might be salvageable. Especially when the Burning Times come.

Scaramucci is new to me. I have read that he has been thick with
President Trump for a long time. Out of respect to him and President
Trump I will differ name calling until his actions warrant it.

As for as the rant goes, I loved it. I want the video.

Scaramucci won his job by threatening to sue CNN last month and making them retract a story and fire two staffers. Much like how Lincoln promoted Grant because he found him a general who would fight.

463 No transgender will make it to combat, they are in it to be a nuisance, a thorn, a sjw, and to get a free sex change op, that they will undoubtedly regret. Out. Enough!

And any doctor doing that operation should be arrested. Plain and simple. It's cruel. No man wants to be a woman when he has to "dialate" for a year and wear maxi pads. Reality fucking bites! Men don't want periods and childbirth. They couldn't handle it! That's why women, real women, have that job in life.

464 Way late to the thread and probably been said already....but...I can't wait for some fucktard Federal Judge to say Trump's ban is unconstitutional!

465 Crikey good gracious yes. What that guy said. Every word of it.

In my ideal universe that guy just qualified himself for a goodish position in the Trump administration.

Enough for now. This one armed veteran has a business to run. Unlike Iran, the country that took my arm, Obama didn't pay me millions.

God bless you sir. Everything you said rings true. Thanks you for your service. If you're ever in my stupid fucking liberal town (email me), beer and steaks are on me.
