The vast majority of the Collection (88%) has been open in full and released to the public since the late 1990s. The records at issue are documents previously identified as assassination records, but withheld in full or withheld in part.
This release consists of 3,810 documents, including 441 formerly withheld-in-full documents and 3,369 documents formerly released with portions redacted. The documents originate from FBI and CIA series identified by the Assassination Records Review Board as assassination records. More releases will follow.

Oh oh oh I have Opinions, yes, yes, I do about child support and, particularly, default judgments thereof and presumptions involving paternity.
This is a matter in which I think I'm in the best position to opine because it doesn't affect me at all so I'm looking at this from outside the situation and have no financial stake in it.
Gather 'round, Horde, it's story time!
Obligatory disclaimer: This is overview stuff, laws vary by jurisdiction and I Am Not Your Lawyer.
Here's how child support for unwed parents works. The mother gives birth and names a man on the birth certificate as the father. That man is then presumed by law to be the father and is thus per se liable for child support. The father can dispute paternity but most states have a limited time frame in which such an objection must be made. If the father does not dispute paternity within that time frame, then the father is on the hook for child support until the child is 18, no matter if DNA tests later reveal that child isn't his. There are decent public policy reasons behind that, namely, making sure that the state isn't paying benefits when there is a parent available to pay and to prevent people from waiting too long to say hey that isn't my kid. It's not solely to screw the father, though, in my not so humble opinion, those public policy goals give no time or consideration to the fact that a father may not have cause to question paternity until later in the child's life and it's rather nasty indeed to tell a woman I know you said this is the father but we think you're a liar who slept around so we're doing the DNA test first. I'm fine with their being a time limit but make it either within two years of birth or one year of receiving evidence that paternity is in question. If the kid turns out not to be the named father's, then there is no liability for child support and any prior payments must be refunded by the mother.
Here's where it gets very nasty indeed. There is no check when the mother lists the father on the birth certificate that the mother even knew the man in the first place and I don't mean in the Biblical sense alone. A woman can name literally anyone and then file for support, or, more likely, the state will file for her when she applies for public assistance.
The mother also is the one to provide an address. California was notorious for sending notices to addresses where people never lived, then saying hey we got good service, and then getting a default judgment against a man who had no idea he was being accused of being the father. Years later he finds this out and is told too bad, so sad, you hand your chance. Also you're nine years behind and own $150,000 and we're sending you to jail for not paying the child support you didn't owe for kids who are not yours.
If we're going to allow default child support judgments without mandatory DNA testing, then there must absolutely be personal service on the man first. I find any argument to the contrary to be a fundamental attack on the rights of the man to ask for the most basic proof at all that he is obliged to pay for child support. If it turns out that a mother has made a false claim, then she is on the hook for fraud and owes the child support payments back to the father. Along with interest and any legal fees.
And then there's what happens in marriages. The presumption of paternity still applies to children born to the marriage. There are very ugly cases out there where people get divorced due to the man finding out the kid isn't his and then being on the hook for child support for the kid that isn't his and of which the mother has full custody and won't let him see.
That's. Bullshit. Pick one, you fuckstrumpet. Either you get child support from the man you told was the father for years AND he gets equal custody rights with the biological father's paternal rights being terminated OR you don't get child support but the father doesn't have rights to custody or visitation. Either that man is the child's father or not. This fuck you pay me situation we're in now? Yeah, it's vile.

There was no imminent danger and the risk of intervention creating a higher probability of injury at that point was great. You had multiple employees in front of the perp which increased the probability of someone getting shot. Ditto if someone to stop the perp in the store was armed.
It was a complete fail from what I could see.

Here in Pennsylvania men who are in arrears in child support can't purchase a fishing license. Apparently they've set up some massive statewide computer system and hired a bunch of employees to police the system.
Because men let them get away with this shit. I don't particularly care too much for men who can afford to pay child support but don't -- but give me a break. Everything anymore is becoming a government issue requiring the hiring of a larger and larger amount of computers, software and people.

There were indeed, eyewitness reports of smelling gunpowder, hearing what sounded like nearer shots fired, but of course the further we get away from it, the less those reports matter. People die, memories fade, no one inside the government was interested in extraneous info, because in addition to these, there are lots of other things that people said that was either dismissed because it didn't fit the narrative, or is preposterous, on its face.
So... this will never be proven. Without FBI ballistics, and matching autopsy work, it remains a theory. One that holds up a lot better than the grassy knoll ones, and really involves no prior conspiracy. Only a conspiracy after the fact, to shield from the public the knowledge that our Secret Service were/are bumbling boobs. Who made NUMEROUS errors that day. Before, during and after the shots were fired.

The thing is that there are men who are actual dead beat dads. Not people who lost a job and can't pay now or guys who are just in a bit of a rough patch. I'm talking fuck that bitch she trapped me and I ain't paying her. Those "men" get no sympathy from me. But not all men are like that and designing the system to presume they are is disgusting.
We've had a few cases over the last several years where we've sat the woman down and said okay here's the amount of child support you'll be paying and every time the woman got pissed because she's the woman! She shouldn't have to pay! Honey, you divorced his ass because you make more money than he does and you want to trade up. Guess what? That means you have to pay. Welcome to actual equality. That points to a nice little article in the Baltimore Sun, based on the case brought against the author of the book "Mortal Error."
I've read the book, and the lawsuit brought by the SS Agent was settled out of court. It neither proves or disproves the theory that the agent accidentally shot JFK.
Yes, it was an AR-15, not an M16. Yes, the agent had it, and yes, he held it aloft after the first shots were fired by Oswald.
The rest is just a theory. And likely to remain so. Even when JFK archives are released in... what 50 years??, the matter will not be settled.

One of the worst cases I've seen is Dave Foley, the Canadian actor who used to be on Newsradio. The Canadian laws are crazy and his divorce was decided when Newsradio was a big hit and he was raking in the dough - he was ordered to pay something like $11k per month. Then Phil Hartman got killed and the show got cancelled and his money dried up. He can't even go back to Canada now or he'll be arrested.

I read a book about that theory (have read several books about the JFK assassination). After wading through as much as I could handle, I finally came back to Occam's Razor, that Oswald was indeed the lone gunman.
The powers that be did the nation no favors by keeping so much data sealed for what seemed to be self serving reasons.
Bugliosi's tome also helped wear me down.

A while back I read in some book (can't remember where) that this is all about keeping women in lower paid jobs in the workplace. Which benefits corporations. A lot.
So while the destruction of the family is an add on, as is "the state raising dysfunctional children in day care and in school," the real goal is supposedly "cheap woman labor."
