Two Immigrants, One Illegal, Allegedly Rape and Sodomize 14 Year Old Classmate in Rockville Maryland

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says they have a detainer on Sanchez, a citizen of Guatemala. The agency could not comment on Montano’s case since he is a minor.So Sanchez is an illegal, and ICE won't comment on the other because he's technically a minor. But the first article noted he was from El Salvador.

I believe(I confess, I couldn't read it all, it was too upsetting) that the girl had become friends with one of the guys(remember, the kids are being brainwashed and demanded to be kind and friendly and non judgmental about foreigners in school) and he stopped her in the hall in front of the restroom and told her to come with him into the restroom for whatever reason(talk to her, etc.)
Dumb, trusting 14 year old girls do this, especially when their entire life they've been told to be understanding of these foreign students or face punishment.
His buddy was inside and they grabbed her, held hands over her mouth and proceeded to rape her.
Police have blood on the floor and DNA evidence gathered from the scene.
How did this happen for the amount of time it took to do all the different things they did to her with absolutely no one entering the restroom.
Judge refused to grant bail as he said both were flight risks and danger to the community.
I'm sure there are stupid SJW's protesting their incarceration.

Respectfully disagree. This type of rape is about humiliation and punishment. It used to be but there are excellent reasons why it was removed, including the fact that rape convictions in many cases turn on the word of the complaining witness and, well, women lie. Yes, yes, yes, that happens in murder cases as well but rape convictions tend to center more on testimony. Hell, just because there is DNA evidence of sex doesn't say a word about consent.
I'm fairly pro-death penalty but the use of death penalty for rape gives me great pause.
I have an exception for rape by an adult of a child under the age of 12. Killing is too good for those wastes of DNA.

She enjoyed her other classes. I asked about her placement, and was told as an ESL student she could stay in high school till she was 23! I told them that wasn't in the cards, and the school councilor basically said "yeah sure ". This was in Prince William Virginia.
My 100% American son was pissed that she got better grades in harder classes. It took 6 months to get her out of ESL, I've been told ESL status brings more money to the school- don't know if really true.
And the problem kids in ESL included Asians and Eastern Europeans. ESL teacher admitted it was a waste for older kids.

Yeah, I didn't put that very well.
I'm for the death penalty under those situations as set out by MWR, clear evidence of force and/or rape of a person who is incapable due to infirmity (though not due to voluntary consumption of alcohol) or age or mental handicap.
But I keep thinking about the men who have denied for decades that they raped anyone and then the DNA tests are finally done and it was some other guy. And if they'd been sentenced to death, they would have been killed for something they didn't do.
I've read the Seventh Circuit opinion in the Kevin Fox case and the cops not only elicited a false confession but the cops' absolute and utter certainty that Kevin Fox killed his daughter let the man who did it get away with it and get away with raping and probably killing other little girls.
(If you don't know the details of the Riley Fox case, you probably don't want to know, it's just a horror show all around.)

Almost all of the ones interviewed talking about refining their method of victim selection. Usually the only time they were unsuccessful is when they did not follow their method because they were rushed or because they found a someone that did not profile as a victim too alluring. It is scary stuff. It's lions picking out the weak slow gazelle.

Yes, which is why first impressions are so often correct: in that brief moment of initial meeting we're using our most fundamental instincts to assess that person. I wouldn't want it for anything where whether it was rape was a gray area, but something that left grievous bodily harm, or that involved the rape of a child by an adult, or of an infirm individual (seriously handicapped or very elderly). Just thinking about anyone who would do those things makes me... VERY angry.

I saw a documentary not too long ago, not sure where. A woman, I think in her 70s at the time, home broken into, raped.
They caught the guy. Sent him to prison, and the movie centered around her activism, and her need to confront him when it came time for him to be up for parole.
Very powerful film, and ultimately there is something to be said for the healing process to include being able to come face to face with the person, to have the power to look him in the eyes and tell him how YOUR word needs to be heard when decisions are made about his freedom.
He wasn't paroled, by the way.
I don't remember all the details, but I remember her, specifically. Her face, her voice, the strength in her.

I do believe, strongly, that when a being removes itself from the constraints of civilization that said being is also rejecting the protections of civilization.
But.
If we it wrong on a death penalty conviction, then the innocent person is dead. We can't let them out of jail after 25 years and say oops sorry, here's $50 grand for your inconvenience.
On the foot, there are beings out there who need put down like rabid dogs and it is an affront to humanity to not do so.

I agree with you and was only pointing out those extraordinary cases which deserve the death penalty. I just think that each case should be sentenced on its own circumstances and not have it follow some sentencing guideline. He served the same amount of time as a lady who ran over her husband by accident ( the second time probably wasn't an accident ) after catching him with his mistress .
Things like that drive me crazy.

I am 66 years old. I have no children. One of these glorious days, I will find myself in an assisted living facility. I have made arrangements that it not be a pestilential hellhole, but, there is nothing I can do about the quality of orderlies they hire. I am attractive and don't look my age, so yeah, I worry about being sexually abused when I am unable to live on my own.

These monsters generally don't start out that way. Which is why I support bringing back the whipping post. A lot of these horrific crimes would be stopped if the predators had been shown a little bit of pain early on and learned to suppress their instincts.

As alexthechick points out, conviction often relies on the testimony of the victim.
Morally, I think rapists damn well do deserve the death penalty. Practically, wouldn't writing this into the law give them more incentive to kill afterward? Why leave a live witness if you're already in as much legal jeopardy as you can be?
