It's on. Here's CNN's feed. Fox dropped the ball and never put one up. I can't just keep refreshing Fox waiting for them to do what they should have done 20 minutes ago. Finally Fox put one up. Summary: He says he was asked about "continuing contacts involving exchanges of information" and answered that question honesty. But he also says that his staffers have advised him that, having been a part of the Trump campaign, he should recuse himself from being involved any investigation in the campaign. He says that advice is sound and he'll take it. He says when the Ambassador came to his office, he had two of his senior staffers present, both former Army colonels, and possibly a junior staffer as well. He says there was nothing about the campaign, and says it was about terrorism and maybe the Ukraine came up. (This was because he had just met with the Ukrainian ambassador the previous day, and I guess the Russians wanted to get their words in as well. You know -- like ordinary business where one country's ambassador wants to chew your ear and then his rival wants the same opportunity.) The meeting had been requested by the Ambasador earlier that day. Neil Cavuto is now playing the full version of Franken's question-- like I've been banging on about.Comments

Sessions was just recently confirmed. There are a lot of positions below him that require Senate confirmation. It's going to take a while to get his people in with this Senate.
I suggest one reason the Senate is dragging its feet is to see if the Dems/GOPe can get some traction on something that will bring down Trump before the Sessions regime is in place at DOJ.

No, the media already gave away the next step in this. CNN this
morning stated that the Russian Ambassador is really a spy and was being
bugged and recorded all the time, including when he met with Sessions
and the recordings should be made public or at least given to Congress
so they can hear what Sessions said to him.

.And this was all done when Trump was behind by double digits in National and State polling because someone (possibly Ace) used a time machine and knew Trump was going to win the election.
The absolute 100% absurdity of this entire evolution defies belief. One would have to somehow know that Trump was going to win the election months ahead of time while completely ignoring all of the polling that was going on at the time for this to have any basis in fact.
No on of this adds up unless you are bat $hit insane and believe the moon landings were faked.

I wouldn't say he threw, mostly because the decision had been made before the oral arguments were even made, but he did not exactly cover himself with glory.
I'm not worried about this because I don't think there is any there there. Various intelligence groups have been looking at this for some time and they've found nothing. Doubt that anything new is going to magically appear.
And even if Sessions was running the investigation, if he found something he would turn it over. He is about as law and order as you can get.

Anyway, point is, sometimes you gotta signal a little harder if you want people to be in on the joke.
Especially if you're dealing with something that the media has been giving people heart attacks over since last night.
When the media starts trying to give your friends heart attacks, please, don't contribute to the stress people are feeling. Signal your parodies strongly enough that few can miss it.

Sounds about right. Getting people to use specific keywords and phrases is a tricky, sophisticated piece of business, but definitely do-able.

Not really. The long standing assumption was that the Russians had phished Podesta's emails, and so the DNC was laying groundwork to scapegoat the Russians, in order to distract from the real scandal of what the Russians revealed: Clinton cheating Sanders out of the nomination.
It was an obvious choice to repurpose that foundation once Trump won.

It wasn't a call, it was a meeting in Session's office. And the question was specific as to whether or not he spoke with a Russian official about election issues. And Sessions said he had two senior aides in the room during the meeting so he's got cover.
Sessions answered no because he didn't.
In non-bizarro world, that should end things. But the media and the left is determined to stir things up so they are just pretending he answered a different question.

The idea that Russia would put all their eggs in the Trump basket
would be beyond stupid when even Trump insiders felt like he was going
to lose.
Also, Russia's biggest weapon is it's oil. Do they really want the
guy that thinks Global Warming is a Chinese hoax to be running America's
energy policy? They'd much rather have Hillary and the Sierra Club
running the show

.Exactly, even obama admitted that he didn't take anything seriously because hiallry was a dead lock on the election. This whole thing is beginning to look like someone planted an "out" based on the worst case scenario that hillary would lose the election.
On a different note...does anyone actually use a full can of manwich for 1 pound of hamburger? I use 1/2 of the can and it is fine.

The immediate reply to that question is "What is wrong with talking to the Russians?" Immediately turn it right back on them. Instead, the republicans honestly attempt to ask the question that was thrown at them instead of questioning the assumptions built into the question.
