This is hardly sinister. In fact, it was Session's job. As the head of the Armed Services Committee, Sen. Sessions had met with the Ukrainian ambassador the previous day. It would be odd if the Russians didn't show up to refute the Ukrainian case.
So Obama's Shadow Government knew that Sessions had met the Ambassador. They told Al Franken, too. Franken, knowing that Sessions had a legitimate meeting asked a Gotcha Question:
"If there was any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government during the course of this campaign, what would you do?"
That question was carefully crafted to apply to Sessions, despite Franken's smarmy good-natured disclaimers.
Sessions was supposed to say, "I would fire them. Or prosecute them."
And then Franken would say "What if it was you?"
But instead Sessions responded to the earlier part of the question about the continuing exchange of campaign strategy.
Sessions answered truthfully because he had never been constantly exchanging information with the Russians about campaign strategy or anything else. The only thing Sessions did was his job, as usual.
But it was close enough for Franken, so he pocketed the answer to use after Trump's speech or to use on the day that Sessions was going to recuse himself anyway, to make it look like he was forced. The timing was all pre-planned and the collusion was all Obama's and his Soft-Coup crowd.
Franken wasn't asking a question; the Spooks had already given him the answer. He was setting a Gotcha Trap. The Fix Was In.
This whole Gorilla-Dust Theater is being run out of Comrade O's house with Valerie Jarrett. They tell their wholly-owned subsidiary CNN what story to run and when to run it. They coordinate the Shadow Government wiretaps, the Pooh-Flinging Press propaganda, the stooges like Franken and all the other on-command cockroaches.
Obama's Shadow Government had pre-impeached Trump before he took office or even won the election. We've never had anything like it before, but we've never had a communist traitor for a president before either.
Don't kid yourself--it's a war.

c) in the case of spying on senators, it's VERY dangerous that the executive spies on the legislative branch.

see my nephew play for his club team in a tourney while in Asia ( my
sister lives in Hong Kong - yeah I know crazy family). Anyway - fabulous
game - although I get a little peeved when the Rugby folks try and play
the "tougher than American Football Players cause they play without
pads" BS. American players play with pads because the blocking and the
forward pass created players that were bigger, faster and stronger than
their Rugby counterparts. And when people literally ( not figuratively)
started dying they had to put on pads. As I stress to my Rugby friends -
when you have a guy that is 6 ft 4 inches, weighing 240 lbs and doing
the 40 yard dash in near world record speed AND who can also lift up a
VW beetle, you need to have pads and helmets. And if NFL players were
put in a field with Rugby players to play a game of rugby, without pads,
there would be a LOT of dead rugby players.
That being said - Rugby is a blast - I even played it a little myself - loads of fun and keeps you in great shape.

Cropsey always uses such a gentle and effective color palette while doing these romantic nature images. They lack the dynamism of some other nature artists but they are all something I would want on my wall just for the relaxing quality. Even Cropsey's brush work adds to the effect: nothing overly thick or impasto and easy blending of the contrasting colors.

I was able to get an early appointment at Urgent Care yesterday, and my almost-retired friend Tom drove me and even guided me into the facility, because I was having such trouble seeing. After the doctor looked me over, he told me there was a new irritated spot toward the middle of my eye where the white meets the cornea. In fact, he said the edge of the cornea looked swollen.
I asked him how it happened, and he said, "From sleeping with your eyes open." WTH? Apparently, if you're asleep and you move your head on the pillow just right, it can pull your eyelid up, and that's what happened to me. The doctor was afraid at first that I might have reopened the old wound, but this was something completely different, and not as serious as the abrasion that brought me in the first time, which has now completely healed.
The doctor put some antibiotic ointment on the irritation, covered it with a contact lens as a kind of bandage, and prescribed another antibiotic, Playtrim (sp?), one drop in my eye 4 times a day. And I see him again on Monday to check my progress.
So anyway, I'm feeling better about the whole thing, even though I can't see my way around this contact lens in my eye. It's not a conventional contact, so my vision is still blurry in this eye. But I'm willing to put up with it until Monday, and then on Wednesday I get a comprehensive eye exam, the first I've had since my cataract surgery three years ago.
Again, I thank God for your prayers. Keep praying for me as I pray for all of you . . .

I agree. I'd like to see politicians kids left out of it (unless they inject themselves in to politics, like chelsea clinton did as a youngish adult.)
Even spouses of politicians should be given some deference.

Hi and I work just 2kms from my home - walking distance
My suburb is tiny and quite nice, and because it's bordered by a river, a motorway, another main road and an Army barracks it can't get any bigger
It's history is good too - founded by a church minister to bring poor people from the inner city slums to here so they could grow vegies etc on large blocks of land and support their families
Our house is on a huge block big enough for 3 houses and the original house was one of the Reverends cottages
This was Reverend Hammond so of course the suburb is named after him

I really keep thinking that stories from early America of foreign governments getting really mad because the American press said mean things about them. Spain, England, France. They all got pissed because some papers in America were saying mean things about them, and those countries even tried to use it as leverage against dignitaries in negotiations.
I've always thought that it was kind of just something that only used to happen, and that modern governments had a better grasp of the American concept of a free press.

Supposedly they plan to purchase it in a few years and make it their home base, also having homes in CA, Chicago and Hawaii. Interesting. I remember the knucklehead very early on. I never could figure out why they went to a basic moped version of a motorcycle for him, but then I read in an interview that he was scared of motorcycles in real life. I'm guessing maybe the smaller bikes weren't as intimidating?

Some years ago, NRO had an article about the concepts of capitalism that got smuggled into Scrooge McDuck comic books. And one of them was very much like your story. That is, somebody got the bright idea of using some common item, like tree leaves, or bottle caps, for money, and then rampant inflation hits and the whole scheme collapses.
So the reader gets a good intro to inflation, sound monetary policy, and the economics of scarcity vs. plenty. All in comic book form.

Tucker had a great interview last night with a UK female journalist who went to Sweden and to the NO GO areas to find out exactly what is going on.
She was shocked at how the Swedes have controlled their population into being terrified to say anything that isn't fully 100% progressive. She said that women told her, while refusing to have their face or ID on camera, that they are now terrified to go outside because of the gangs of migrant men hanging around corners and bridges at night. They have stopped going out after dark, because that's when these rapists come out , like roaches. And they are not permitted by society or the government to voice their concerns.
She said one woman came up to her table at a café and quietly thanked her and begged her to keep telling other countries what is going on.
The journalist said Trump was absolutely correct in what he said about Sweden. And that Sweden is continuing it's suicide, because being called racist, bigoted, etc. is worse than death there. She also said the worst SJW police are militant feminists, one woman who refused to be identified said it was because the feminists would come after her and she was afraid they would find her home and work.
Sweden plans to admit 400,000 more "refugees" in the next year.

That shit happened up here in the Adirondacks because of the clownshoe parade known as the Democrat Party.
Clyde Rabideau is the mayor of Saranac Lake. He is a fall-in-line Democrat with is nose firmly inserted in Chuck Schumer's ass.
He tried to make points with the statewide Democrats (as he was a perennial loser for the State Assembly seat over several elections years ago) and so he fought to get the visa for this accused sex offender from Kashmir.
This is all on Chuck Schumer and Clyde Rabideau.
President Trump should investigate this right away. Schumer and Gillibrand should both be censured in the Senate for their irresponsible acts.
