Federal Officials People: Intelligence Community Probing Michael Flynn

This story is notable for two things.

First, as with the PeePeeGate psyops the IC conducted against the country, it's vapornews -- there's no actual news here, as the "news" is just that there is an investigation. And no conclusions at all.

We already know there was an investigation -- this was leaked two weeks ago. So the leakers are just re-leaking this to get it re-reported.

But there's nothing new -- there's no conclusion, the article notes. So rather than advancing the story by saying "There's an investigation, and it has found X," this story specifically says the investigation has not found anything either way. Nothing excuplatory, nothing incriminating.

Pure re-report of a re-leak.

But this is the most precious part of the Wall Street Journal's report.

It has been common (though I'm certain not uniform) previous media practice to attribute leaks from the IC to "federal officials" or "intelligence community officials." In other words, people working for the federal government or the intelligence community.

On Friday at 12 noon, John Brennan and I'm guessing several other Obama political appointees in the IC lost their jobs, as Trump pointedly did not ask them to remain aboard until their replacements could be confirmed.

So these folks aren't Federal Officials or IC Officials any longer.

They're just people, as of noon Friday.

So note the WSJ's attribution of its non-story:

U.S. counterintelligence agents have investigated communications that President Donald Trump's national security adviser had with Russian officials, according to people familiar with the matter.

WAS: Federal officials

NOW: "People"!

Interesting.

5 Close to what I had this morning when Fox linked to this story. Here was my take:

Here is the typical way the fake news media does a hatchet job. Start with a headline:

Flynn Under Fire - National Security Advisor's Russia Links Under Scrutiny

Next include a lede with little fact and a lot of innuendo.

U.S. counterintelligence agents have investigated communications that President Donald Trump's national security adviser had with Russian officials, according to people familiar with the matter.

So we see unnamed agents investigating undescribed "communications" all according to unnamed sources. All of this to support the Democrat allegation that Trump conspired with the Russians to sabotage Scankles. This is pure Democrat lies and propaganda fed to the Fake New Service and published as smoking hot gospel.

Pretty amazing for a guy who was a total disaster. JFK screwed up everything he touched. He was weak enough to tempt the Soviets to inch ever closer to WWIII and he was junior to FDR in that FDR's actions were awful enough that a Constitutional amendment was passed right after he died to stop anyone else from ever contemplating pulling the same shit while JFK's actions were just bad enough that a regular law was passed after he was gone to stop anyone from contemplating stuffing the cabinet with family members.

Further politicize. It's not as though they were bastions of disinterested objective professionalism before Obama.

The USA, sadly, has never had competent national intelligence services. Especially during the Cold War, they routinely had rings run round them by Moscow Centre on HUMINT work.

The only thing that saved the United States with regard to intelligence was the genius of American engineers and scientists, who devised technical means whereby enough useful intelligence could be directly gleaned.

186 EO defunds all funding of abortions at the international level.

That statement is not accurate. What he did was reinstate the prohibition of Planned Parenthood - International funneling money to Planned Parenthood in the USA. RR had originally banned that, every Democrat President since him has reinstated it, and then every Republican following them has banned it again.

It should be obvious that an American President can not halt funding in other countries.

Marco's 'war criminal' shtick was almost as bad as our junior senatorial bitch asking Pompeo about climate change.

Please see the attached document from Reince Priebus announcing the freeze of all regulatory actions pending review by the new Administration. This action is commonly taken when a new political party takes the White House. The memo is summarized below.

• For any regulations that have yet to be sent for publishing in the Federal Register: The memo asks the Agency to not send any regulation to the Federal Register until reviewed by someone selected by the President.
• For those that have been sent to the Federal Register but not published: The White House requires the regulations to be withdrawn.
• For the regulations that have been published but have not reached their effective date: The memo instructs those regulations to be delayed for 60 days for review and notes that a new notice-and-comment period could occur.

220 IN other follies of Journalism we have this line from the Washington Post:

As Jessica Huseman of ProPublica put it: "Journalists aren't going to get answers from Spicer. We are going to get answers by digging. By getting our hands dirty. So let's all do that."

http://tinyurl.com/zkd4rbq

She really said that. Translation: the days of getting our work done for us by the White House in press releases we just print are done, we have to actually do our jobs again, dammit.

The entire Post article is a whine about how mean the president is to them and how Spicer is a lying liar about lying stuff who lies all the time.

His statement "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration -- period -- both in person and around the globe" may actually be accurate, since nobody knows how many watched online around the world. But the article and the press don't just assume its a stupid, obvious, and infuriating lie, but that its proof that everything the man says is nothing but lies.

Its kind of funny to watch the press get all the wrong lessons.

It's missing an emotional core, but it's entertaining enough on the surface.

There's a scene about halfway through the movie that includes not one, but 2 emotional reunions involving the main character. I felt exactly zero emotion because we hadn't really seen her with either of these 2 people before.

Other than that...yeah, it's fun, but it'll diminish in popularity pretty quickly because it won't hold up as well.

I watched McConnell's interview with Chris Wallace yesterday. He had a cat with the canary slight grin on his face the entire time. Wallace, doing his best impression of a hard hitting journalist, repeatedly asked him if he would pull the nuclear option should the Democrats try to block the nomination of a Supreme Court pick. All McConnell would say was that Trump's nominees would get confirmed.

McConnell commented that the Democrats are doing everything they can to slow the confirmation process, including petty crap such as demanding more chairs be brought to the confirmation hearing , etc.
He then repeated that he felt very confident that all the nominees will be confirmed and that the Supreme Court nominee would be confirmed. With that wicked smile on his face while he stared directly at Wallace.

336 I know someone one who has been hired within the Federal Government, but the job is on hold right now. I understand there's a hiring freeze, but it would be a great job for this person and they are a conservative right to life person, which has nothing to do with the job,,but still....at least there would be another person not on the leftist bandwagon

337 264 Hrm. I'd rather there were a Federal personnel decimation but I guess it will do.

1. Memo to all federal civilian personnel: Please list 10% of your office who you feel are less important to your agency than you and explain why.

2. Compile list. Add names of anyone who didn't participate.

3. Fire everyone on consolidated list.

4. Repeat as necessary.

I always thought the way to downsize is to eliminate by organization. Ask organizational heads these three questions:

1. Where is the justification for your organization in the constitution?

2. Are there other organizations in the government that perform your function? If so, which of you have jurisdiction and legal justification?

3. Does your organization meaningfully contribute to the liberty of the American citizentry?

The answers to these questions will point the way to many areas where the swamp needs draining.

Sincerely,
