Did you see some of the responses to the tweet? Most were very supportive, although you had a few of the usual socialist cocksuckers chiming in. One I found particularly amusing was a photo of what I assume was Trump, wearing a terry cloth robe, while laying across a hotel bed. I THINK it was Trump, except the hair color was wrong, and the photo was clearly at least 30-40 years old, judging from the tint of the image, his hair and overall appearance.
Assuming it was Trump, SO WHAT? It may surprise some of those douchebags to know that some high end hotels and resorts provide robes like that for their guests. I know because I've stayed at such places and worn them. And yes, that short style of bath robe was popular...about 30-40 years ago (nowadays they tend to be longer). Spicer claimed that more people witnessed the inauguration than ever in history- he included everyone who saw it world wide not just those who were in attendance physically. This would be difficult to prove but it could easily be true. This was every bit as historic and unique an election as Obama's first. His points about how the media deliberately distorted the number of people in physical attendance were spot on.
I thought Spicer did a great job. He is a firebrand and that is I bet that is at least partly why he was chosen to be press secretary. He is a bit nervous but will calm down I am sure with practice. It's only his second outing and he has to be confrontational which makes it more challenging.

Funny thing is, there would be more justification for criticizing Spicer for the the MLK bust thing. It's true that the Time Magazine's Zeke Miller got it absolutely wrong to start with, whether it was intentional or not, he was primed and ready to "report" on something based on nothing more than his prejudices. When the "error" was pointed out, Miller apologized, and it wasn't quite the mealy-mouthed pseudo-apology that Spicer implied. Especially since Miller publicly went around trying to correct all the reporters who RT'd his fake/wrong reporting.

I watched almost every minute of the "Women's March" on CSpan which means I also caught every minute of her performance. It was so embarrassing that I watched through the little cracks between my fingers.
She performed exactly like you would expect a woman of her age to perform: Arthritic, off-beat, awkward, and her voice was awful.

Once there, we asked a couple of the cops where to eat, and I told them our car was in the Metro Center area and that would be ideal -- his eyes widened, and he said, "Oh, ma'am, haven't you heard? there are RIOTS going on there!" (Thank God my car was parked in an underground garage!)
They gave us another option, at Gallery Place, and we ate there and recuperated a bit. We saw another roving mob of Leftwing thugs go by at one point. Most of the diners were Trump supporters, thank God.
When we left and got back in the Metro to the Metro Center area, the mob had bivouacked about 2 blocks north. It was about 7:30 by then. Because of the leftwing mobs roaming the streets, we were all routed around various areas by police barricades.
At one point, a wolfpack of the thugs was marching up the street, BETWEEN the cars, and shouting obscenities. They were within 10-15 feet of my rear bumper when the light changed, and I was BARELY able to escape them. We got the hell outta Dodge.
This, my friends, is What We Are Up Against. Not just the leftwing street violence, but the collaboration of their agents in government posts.
Next up: they'll make a movie titled "The Eternal Republican," and start targeting our businesses and churches for vandalism, Kristallnacht-style.

He was talking about total people watching. Not just those in attendance. His criticism towards the media was their efforts to delegitimize Trump by claiming it was a small crowd. Which it wasn't. He never claimed that the crowd in attendance was bigger than Obama's.

What happened was that the design ws intended to have cats but Cameron and Osborne decided that if they put in the cats they couldn't afford two carriers, so they decided to skip the catapults and buy (more expensive, less capable, more maintenance-intensive, etc etc etc) STOVL B's instead. They need to do this EVERY DAY, all the time.
People should not for a moment be allowed to slip into thinking that when they speak to the press corps they are facing a group of "objective journalists".
As was demonstrated for the umpteenth time in Wikileaks, the WH press corps is by and large the Communications Department of the DNC.
It's no different than taking questions from Donna Brazile or Debbie Wasserman-Schultz or Chuck Schumer.
When team Obama faced the press, it was basically like a staff meeting.
When team Trump faces the press, it needs to be made clear to the viewers at all times that what we are watching is the administration confronting its political opponents.

That's the same mindset the EU has. They need immigration to prop up their welfare state. That Third World immigrants tend to be a net drain on society is a fly in the ointment. But we mustn't criticize the welfare state in the first place. That would be unthinkable.
