Everyone knew he was posing for photos with Al Qaeda. But DC had for some self-serving motive decided to depose Assad, so no one there cared. It's kind of hard to make a treason charge stick when most of the government is in on it.

Lived in Lawrence MA until I was ten or so, and clam chowder was a creamy soup with tasty potato chunks that came out of a Campbell's can; once in a while there's a questionable bit floating around in there. We went to a decent seafood restaurant when I was six or so, and I asked for the clam chowder. When it came, it was full of these chewy mf'ers, and I may have been a little brat about it. Surprise! Obama FCC Quietly Enables Univision's Foreign 'Bailout'

newsbusters.org

Well, there you have it. If Univision's IPO continues to stall indefinitely- an increasingly likely possibility as investors dig beyond the smoke and mirrors of the recent digital splurge, then Plan B is a little something I like to call the "Azcárraga Bailout", in which Televisa CEO Emilio Azcarraga acquires a large stake of the network. We detail why that could happen here.

But this requires relaxing of the current rules, which don't allow foreign entities to purchase such large interests in domestic broadcast companies. All five seats on the FCC's board of commissioners are up during the upcoming presidential term (the first two are up in 2017), so Univision has much at stake here.

There's a restaurant here in Va Beach (featured on that Guy Fieri show) that make a Hatteras Style Clam Chowder.
More brothy than chowdery, but amazing. Smoky bacon flavor, no filler of potatoes, just amazing.

I say this as a clam chowder afficionado - NE cant compare. You should make a special trip to The Beach Pub if you have to. Try this stuff before you die. Bucket List material.
Like, the first time you experienced pork belly or fois gras kind of thing.

There was a drink at Tong Du Chon (TDC) outside of Camp Casey that sold a drink called the 2 2 2, two bottles of Soju, two 16 oz bottles of 7Up or Chil Song, and two little bottles of yogurt. Mix together and serve. We would start off with a few pitchers to pre-flight before a night of hijinx.

That was off to one of the local bulgogi houses for a huge dinner shindig, lots of Cass Ale (formerly OB beer), and soju after soju after soju. We toasted everything including the color of the wall paper. Then it was off to a kareoke house till the wee hours of the morning. Great days indeed.

We use 1/4 cup of soy, poured on top. And there's 1/2 cup of water, but that's poured on the sides.

We also broil the top and bottom of the pork in the oven first (5 mins each side).

Also, 1 largish onion, cut into rings. Half of them under, half on top in the cooked.
