Pence's statement on O-care is encouraging.
Except for the "replace" part. Reality, and probably 75-85% of the electorate, care not a whit about the "replace" part. "Reform" was not urgent, was not desired, was not popular, polled very poorly - for 20 years the Dems pushed it (recall this all started, as a national political thing, with the special Senate election in PA in 1991). Now, for very real good reasons, it polls even worse. (cue mostly Posted by: rhomboid at January 04, 2017 01:07 PM (QDnY+) 43

And he wins his first run at office, which happened to be the highest office in the world, even that clown Obama lost his first try in politics , LOL state seat or some such shit end job.
And he won running against the every powerful force in the fucking world, out spent 2 to 1. Obama would have won shit-all without the media protecting and promoting him, that includs news, entertainment and world media,, remember his German rally. And ouspending his opponents 2 to 1 ..being black helped, , so every minority in the country would vote to prove Merica isn't a white country, irrespective of 250 history since it's nationhood. It's no problem if Trump wins. Salvation will be at hand, in the person of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), whose nom-de-politics is apparently taken from the old phrase "When the schumer hits the fan".
Schumer said on Tuesday in a CNN (D-everywhere) interview that "The only way we're going to work with him is if he moves completely in our direction and abandons his Republican colleagues." This "we are the majority" theme of celebs against Trump has all the hallmarks of a carefully focus-grouped Soros psy op, much like the "99%" meme of the "Occupy movement" i.e. the initial rollout of radical Marxism packaged as mainstream American politics.
So "the majority" message of the anti-Trump celebrities coordinates perfectly with "the majority of voters" who (regardless of the Electoral College, or citizenship, or electoral fraud for that matter) allegedly "voted for Hillary." They want nothing else than majority mobocracy, including millions of non citizens, dominated by the urban centers, who can be relied upon to follow the lead of the self-appointed cultural elite. Expect a lot of more talk about "the majority" on all fronts. Posted by: xnycpeasant at January 04, 2017 01:19 PM (QtQaN) 93

We're going to spend the next few years with various media sorts
applying the "Obama would have done this better" game with almost every decision Trump makes. == And President Trump will take to Twitter and say, "Maybe he could have. But he didn't. And he had 8 years to try. Sad!" Related, you have to read the collections of tweets of the various media bitches whining that trumps tweets are ruining their job of being the ones to set the agenda. Best part? They know he is doing it on purpose to them and they know there's nothing they can do about it. It's almost like Trump enjoys rubbing their noses is dogshit day after day. 92 This "we are the majority" theme of celebs against Trump has all the hallmarks of a carefully focus-grouped Soros psy op, much like the "99%" meme of the "Occupy movement" i.e. the initial rollout of radical Marxism packaged as mainstream American politics.
Posted by: xnycpeasant at January 04, 2017 01:19 PM (QtQaN) They never say that Hillary won a majority, because she didn't. We can say the same thing about Trump if he actually does get Obamacare repealed. The House has already voted to repeal it over 40 times but it only got out of the Senate once and of course Obama vetoed it. But Trump will get credit if Obamacare goes down cause he will be President and that's how it works. The fact is, universal health insurance, an issue that affected over 1/5th of the economy, was passed while Obama was in office. It's not called Obamacare for nothing. And he put two awful, unqualified hags on the SC and came within a red one of getting a 3rd. Trump and the Congress are going to spend a good part of the next couple of years unfucking a lot of the shit Obama did during the last 8 years, not the least of which is rebuilding the military and our position on the world stage which Obama managed to leave in dangerous tatters. They won't be doing this because Obama didn't do anything. Posted by: JackStraw at January 04, 2017 01:33 PM (/tuJf) 163

Of course it also adds to Trump's, which I think is dangerously yuge itself.
There are differences: a) Trump has actually done stuff, so him having a big ego isn't as alarming as Obama, whose narcissism must spring from mental illness, given the absence of anything to justify it. b) Obama isn't merely a conceited person. Lets talk a stroll down memory lane at all the wonderful bipartisan legislation during GOP presidents: Reagan's Immigration (Amnesty) Act Dubya's Medicare prescription plan Dubya's No Child Left behind Dubya's Use of Force against Iraq vote Dubya's porkulous bill If they all support it, run away from it as fast as you can. Then again, Obamacare was a purely partisan act without a single GOP vote and we know how that turned out. Posted by: McCool at January 04, 2017 01:28 PM (lWCRE) ++++ Don't forget about me! The more I read about the Carter White House, the more I am convinced he was as evil as anybody who has ever occupied that office, and he did have an ego. He just managed to snowball lots of people with an "aww-shucks" persona.
In fact, when you compare Carter to Nixon, both men had a daunting task rebuilding their reputations post-Presidency. Nixon did it by mostly reflecting on his life, and attempting to make amends, while quietly doing good works in ways that nobody knows about. Carter spent his post White House years noisily defending his actions, and brazenly touting his supposed "good works" in the splashiest ways he could. Posted by: BurtTC **** My father guarded him. Remember that old SNL skit, The Thing That Wouldn't Leave? That's gonna be Obama. It's 3 am, the host is awkwardly explaining his wife has to get up early, to that one oblivious guest left who says, "Hey! Let's play some records! Got any more beer?" while the host's wife gives a horror movie shriek of despair.

I watched a bit of "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd the other day and they were going crazy about this. The round table complained about the new WH Press Room rules that haven't even been announced yet! and discussed the end of America because Trump's tweets meant that Trump supporters wouldn't listen to the major outlets. They described this as extremely dangerous and then went into a discussion of the many ways that they could "investigate and vet" Trump to stop him.
It is really incredible what is happening. Posted by: Hopped Up On Something at January 04, 2017 01:49 PM (Ztzo+) I was thinking about how Trump plans to shake up the White House press corp and press coverage in general from these Democratic operatives with bylines. For all of Trump's future press conferences, he should have them at one of his rallys. Have the press corp ask their silly-ass questions in front of 5,000 people and have crowd react to the questions and how they're framed. It would be awesome. Jackstraw. You're augments are kinda .. what's the word .. idiotic . Trump did not run, saying you might run or thinking of running is not the same as putting your hat in the ring and ACTUALLY running for a office that actual people vote with your name on a ballot either in primary or a general election.
Second , Obama had no idea of the laws in legislation like DoddFrank or Obamacare, why he felt he could ramble on about lowering costs and keeping your doctors, when Nancy Pelosi talked about " we have to pass it for you to find out what's in it" she was also referring to Obama, who opposed a mandate when he ran against Hillary. I can guarantee you that Trump will have input into whatever laws that replace Obamacare. Trump hand picked every member of his cabinet didn't rely on conservative think tanks, he picked people to push his agenda not Soro's and Podesta's or progressive think tanks. Ever pol in Washington, not only republicans have said Obama's been MIA for last 8 years, that he barely communicated with them on any level, never picked up the phone to negotiate because he doesn't know how and because he doesn't know shit, all the details and policy are done in progressive think tanks, he just the figure head That's why after they lost their super majority, Obama had to rely on executive orders. Bush, Clinton, Papa Bush, or Reagan the last 40 years of Presidents that unlike Obama didn't need they party to control both houses or have super majorities to get major legislation passed.
