Hey, Celebrities Have Recorded Another One of those Videos
Videos
Where They Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
The Last Word the Other One Said, Urging Congress to Stand Up
Stand Up
To Trump

This ought to work. They always do.

Sadly, Steve Buscemi is in this one.

A slew of high-profile stars -- including Sally Field, former "The View" co-host Rosie Perez,"“Westworld's" Jeffrey Wright, Keegan-Michael Key, and "Boardwalk Empire" actor Steve Buscemi -- are calling on Congress to "vigorously oppose" any of President-elect Donald Trump's "racist, sexist, anti-immigrant, anti-worker, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, anti-environmental policies."

"We demand that you block nominees who threaten the rights of women, the LGBT community, people of color, immigrants, and the poor," Key and Field say in the video released Tuesday, the same day the 115th Congress is poised to be sworn in.

Oh by the way, Bruce Springsteen is melting down as usual.

'I've felt disgust before, but never the kind of fear that you feel now,' Springsteen said of Trump and his administration

He added that he believes Trump appeals to the 'worst aspects' of society such as 'racism, bigotry, [and] intolerance'

'[M]y fear is that those things find a place in ordinary, civil society, demeans the discussion and events of the day, and the country changes,' said the rocker

Springsteen, 67, has been a vocal critic of Trump many times in the past, and he supported Hillary Clinton during the election

66 Buscemi's the biggest tool. Look at the behavior of the characters he has played on TV and in movies and their treatment of various people that he's now falsely accusing Trump of wanting to treat poorly. Buscemi should do an anti-gun PSA, too, while he's at it, like those hypocrites Liam Neeson, Jeremy Renner, and Matt Damon, who have killed hundreds of people in movies with handguns. I don't care that you're playing a character. If you really feel that way about certain issues, perhaps you should avoid roles that glorify the behavior you claim to be against.

1) It's easier for counter-messages to get out and go viral.

and

2) It's easier for people to ignore stuff like this because it's not a commercial on one of three channels (that also pops up on the other 2), but just a click away from never being seen again.

I just hope it cost a lot of money to produce.

Was just about to say this. Of course, with BioWare it's actually beginning to bleed into the games themselves: the gay romance options in Mass Effect 3 were nothing that horrible (though one of them is atrociously written), but the completely unnecessary transgender crap in Dragon Age Inquisition stuck out like a sore thumb. And I have a sneaking suspicion that the sample main character they've been showing in the Andromeda promos has been made as deliberately unattractive as possible; can't entertain the male gaze, you know.

Noctis is the best MC in the mainline series, and comes close and may yet unseat Ramza from Tactics in my mind as best FF protagonist.

I enjoyed the game greatly, and the soundtrack is simply nonpareil. I actually had a fantastic situation happen last week, after leaving my father's house helping with some fencing, I was at the stoplight outside our little town and a huge (and bear with me, this is fun) absolutely redneck to the limit truck pulls up alongside me, massive liftkit, rebel flag, stickers out the wazoo, just blaring XV's Stand Your Ground battle theme.

I yelled at the guy "Is that frickin' Fifteen?!"

He hollers back "Yeah, dog, I dig it!!"

We had a good laugh and I yanked the same song up on my iPod. o_O Much fun was had.

Apparently a great deal of DLC is planned for the game, including story additions to Ch.13 at the minimum, playable character additions including the badass Dragoon chick Aranea, and a multiplayer/character creation function. Dunno how long before all that lands, but I'm bloody well keeping an eye on it!

218 I think the media is in a death spiral they will never recover from. Every day they lose a little respect from someone. Every day they alienate a small part of their potential audience.
The thing is they can't reverse course and start actually doing investigative journalism or caring more about the story--whoever is implicated--than about the agenda. Obama has never stopped whining about FNC's feeble attempts at fair and balanced coverage. Any move to balance would be met with outrage by the DNC and the left generally. It would also destroy the Democratic Party because they would not be able to survive without the fanatical support of the media.
Don't know when the media will finally crash and burn--it could be years. But I'm convinced it will happen.

225 Hollywood was "conquered" by the anti-America left long ago, and has been spewing agitprop all over most of what they produce. But the actors don't have to produce the agitprop, they just have to read the lines and emote ... become the message.

So they are a step below the useful idiots, who are misled. These actors take money to mislead others ... sell their souls so to speak, prostitute themselves to say anything for money (and fame).

So when they sincerely emote their PC/commie/globalist BS, it comes across as insincere ... vacuous.

An election took place, yet their arrogance allows their ego to make "demands" on even Republican congressmen. They also demanded we the people vote for Hillary ... they lost. I DEMAND they shut up now.

A good idea would be to stock up on Healcast magic out the wazoo; find a boatload of items to add to your magic crafting that will increase maximum casts along with the healing effect. I think, but am not sure, that wolf claws from the desert region around Hammerhead/Cindyville can be used for that. Healcast acts like an Elixir and will restore maximum HP for you; if you're well stocked on magic headed into to the hundred-floor dungeons, you should be golden, and the spells can be tossed to your compadres to get them back up into good condition as needed.

Let's see; translating from leftyspeak:

the right of some women to be a party to murder of their own children

the right of some in the LGBT community to harass and bully people of faith

the right of some people to create a living hell for themselves and to spill over to people who don't want to live in hell

the rights of some people who want conquest through invasion, colonization, violence, and plunder of the rightful citizens

the right of some poor people to claim the fruits of the labors of others

Hmmmm.

I don't know much of the history of theater, but would like to think there was a time when society was mostly advanced by the messages. But reality is always the better testing grounds, and theater is the best way to establish a false premise, and capture an audience's imagination. Especially when there are no looming threats (real threats, not the agitprop threats) to awaken the sleeping giants.

I guess that was the intent of the Frankfurt school, and the cultural Marxist advancement through media. We finally are confronted with reality slapping PC in the face, and the deplorables in the audience throwing tomatoes at the actors. ha

I love personality disorders. They're such an exquisite mess. I've taken to not trying to label them though. There remains a collection of "symptoms" that make up the different categories, but nobody really fits neatly into one or another.

There's a whole section of the DSM-V devoted to viewing them a different way, and I keep meaning to get around to reading it. I wonder if they get it "right" there.

Probably not. More likely a bunch of narcissistic pee-sigh-chiatrists got together and decided personality disorders are not the way to go... because they can't do jack about them.

And they hate him too.
Of course this was AFTER they had him host the show earlier on in the campaign. So my point is, if they believe he's a Nazi and a sexist, racist pig, why did they allow him to host ?

Also, they probably got flack from their peers for "normalizing" him, so this is why they went extra vicious on him for the rest of the campaign.

Harry Hurt III, who penned the 1993 biography, Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, had come to play with billionaire industrialist David. H. Koch, a Trump club member, and two other golfers. Hurt, who has a scratch handicap and plays in colorful knickers, walked over to Trump on the practice range prior to his group's assigned tee time, only to suffer a tongue lashing from the president-elect. 'I said, 'Congratulations, sir,' and shook his hand,' Hurt recalls. 'Trump said, 'You were rough on me, Harry. Really rough. That shit you wrote.'

People sneer at him now, but in the early and mid-60s, Shatner was considered one of the best young actors around.
