"Remember, It's All Fun and Games Until Someone Loses a Nation"

Good morning, kids. Regarding the death of Tom Hayden, he and Hanoi Jane could have and should have been hanged for treason. As he makes his way to the Infernal Reaches, you should read his real story in the second link, before the MFM floods the zone with lying hagiographies. Anyway, have a better one.

No campaign contribution by anyone outside of the geographic zone covered by the election. This would not help with the Presidential race except for foreign money, which is "supposed" to be already illegal, but it sure would help in all the others.

The definition of treason as worded in the Constitution:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War
against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and
Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony
of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

If he wins I expect the left to explode and demand recount after recount just like gore did in Florida. They will blather about how the polls clearly showed hillary winning in a landslide and Trump supporters must have cheated because that's the only way a racist hater could win. etc.

      35 @ MP4 and Vic ...

... regardless of the written word of law - which I think we all three agree doesn't count for a hell of a lot these days - I think it all comes down to the political will of the populace regarding what is or isn't considered treason.

And I think an actual, honest to God Declaration of War helps galvanize that will.

And I honestly think we should be thankful for that - because without that limitation of will - treason really would be invoked by our own government for shit like a lack of support for global warming legislation, etc...

I think there are two kinds of flirting (though they can overlap).

You can flirt with a girl (or vice versa) with the intent of an eventual seduction. If you're doing that you've already gamed out your relative strengths and attractiveness and you're sort of putting it on the line in pursuit of a goal.

There's also the harmless sort of flirting, which is also known as flattery. I take great pleasure in giving a girl a compliment when there is no chance of us getting together because it's just noting that there is something beautiful in the world and the compliment might make someone feel good when there's nothing expected in return.

I have done this more than once at work when someone is leaving. Say something like "now that it's safe to say it, I've always had a crush on you". It's not goal oriented flirting, but it's still a sort of flirting.

52 Here's another example. I told the Orthodox priest-whom i occasionally exchange e-mails with about theology and ministry that i wished to speak to him about why I was attending his church and the problems i have with my denomination. (I've been attending the Orthodox Church since April). So he said fine. We met at the coffee shop (because he doesn't have an office and clearly doesn't want to meet privately with women which I quite understand) . t some point he said "The people in (this very liberal area) always say, "You were a chaplain in war areas. That must have been really hard." My response was, "They didn't realize that you chose to do this?" He said, "I thought of ways I can use this as marketing for myself by saying "Yes, It was really terrible. Can you pay my mortgage?" and he put a sad look on his face. (he was clearly kidding and wouldn't do any such thing) I replied. "I think you have some latent acting talent there, Fr." and a I patted his hand. Is that flirting? It wasn't intended as such. The Orthodox church has a lot of hugging. If I thought everyone who hugged me was flirting with me I;d think a quarter of the congregation was flirting with me. ;^)

Reschedule a new election, declare Hillary the winner on "actual" votes, or attempt some sort of coup? Let's face it, most of the Republican punditry and leadership would go along with it, at least privately.

64 Here's another story from Fox that sounds stupid.

A judge in Fresno, Calif., sentenced a man who raped his teenage daughter over a four-year period to 1,503 years in prison, marking a sharp contrast to the 60-day sentence a Montana judge handed down for incest.

If I recall correctly that case in Montana had some serious questions about the guilt of the man sentenced. I don't think a long prison term for serial rape is necessarily a bad thing, but does the CA penal code call for a life sentence for rape?

Evidently the US is a haven of law breaking and corruption, all based on "interviews". I did a term in QA in my long career and it was always stressed that "interviews" are the sorriest and most inaccurate way to examine any particular problem because all you got was "opinions". But I guess it is good enough for liberal magazines, AOL, and Fox News.

      I agree.

It's hard to understand what the strategy is on the democrat side. As the link above shows, there are games being played with oversampling to give the illusion that Hillary is running away with this election.

On top of the oversampling, there is the 6 point advantage given to Hillary that they attribute to cell phones. Then, the turnout models are all based on Obamaesque numbers.

For some reason, democrats and the media believe that by pushing this meme that Hillary is going to win all 50 states that Trump voters will stay home and not bother to vote.

I think the opposite is likely.

Every Trump voter I know will crawl through broken glass to vote on election day. Most Hillary supporters are lukewarm at best and may vote if they happen to be passing a polling place on their way to store. If it's raining, no way.

They will think "she's got it won by 20 points, so my vote won't count".

On top of everything else, I believe there is a large group of people who will vote for Trump just to wipe the smirk off the faces of the media.

83 Kind of rambling I know, but that's the way my brain works.

I was watching a show on the WWII Wehrmacht. This is the one that shows what the captured Wehrmacht generals are saying on secret recordings at the estate in England where they are being held.
One of the things that came up is that while most of the German generals were not fans of Hitler, they also understood that until he came into power, they were not going anywhere in the Wehrmacht. With scramble brains in charge, he gave the generals their success, and they could not turn against him. The generals had received no promotions during the Weimar Republic. Their careers only took off after Hitler came to power.
      Their promotions make them loyal.

I not a big fan of the so and so is just like Hitler stuff, but it is interesting how far loyalty will go from people that will then do whatever and ignore everything else to keep that power.
So give out government jobs to people. Keep promoting them. They can no longer go back to what they were doing. They can't just quit and find another job. They are your "Generals" for life.

119 Look, I'm sure Mr. Trump has many positive attributes, and probably a few negative ones. But he is not an anti-American thug who seeks to destroy the country and make a buck off of it.

And that's the biggest part of it. We've had an anti-American jagoff in the White House for 8 years unleashing his revenge on a country that he hates. Being cheered by the MFM and not understood by the uneducated masses. Someone who just doesn't hate the country would be a yuge improvement.

      134 Caution slight rant ahead.

If you believe you're going to vote for Killary then when things go predictably south and hard left, use as your excuse that Trump would have been much worse, go hang yourself.

Policy for policy, if the dumb people about to vote for Killary actually knew anything about that, or actually had enough honesty or intelligence to examine that, Trump by far has the better policies. Irrespective of the propagandists who scored his economic plan. He's also told you precisely who he will put on the court. Killary? Nah, because it's going to be someone who will destroy this country for decades.

Electing Killary will give you a very predicable line of failures. We will be less well off economically, more divided and our place in the world will continue to dive. There will be more punishing of success and likewise more handouts we can't afford. The debt will crush us and the regulations and anti business climate will continue to hurt our country.

Again, if you believe that when all this predictably happens you are going to blame the ethereal "Ttump would have been worse" lie, go die in a fire. Now. Before it's too late.

Oh by the way, the GOP and especially the #nevertrumpers are all done irrespective of what happens. Either Trump as a winner will crush them or their own dishonesty will.

I think they've become just as comfortable with the status quo as the left - because they really don't believe it will get worse. They think if Hillary wins, they'll still be able to sit there in their little conservative enclaves in DC and NY writing articles about the latest PC outrage on campus or whatever. But I doubt very much that if Hill gets elected that her attitude toward NR will be one of gratitude. They'll come after you too, Jonah, and your attacks on the GOP nominee won't help you at all.

151 FBI Director James Comey announced McCabe's appointment on Thursday.

      July 28, 2015

In September, McCabe, a pediatric doctor in her first run for public office, raised $275,000 and Black raised $60,000. Black had $220,806 on hand, slightly more than McCabe's $220,072.Through October 20, Black had raised $682,000 in total, and McCabe had raised $693,000. -Ballotpedia

Looks like 2015 was a phat year at Casa McCabe.

McCabe also has the support of abortion rights organization NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia.

Oh good. A pediatrician/baby-killer. Nasty woman.

According to McAuliffe's spokesperson, the governor only met with the McCabes once- on March 7, 2015 - to urge Dr. Jill McCabe to run. At the time, Andrew McCabe was running the FBI's Washington, D.C., field office. FBI officials say he sought and followed ethics advice from the agency, taking no role in the campaign and avoiding work on public corruption cases in Virginia.

They only met ONCE? OH WELL THAT'S VERY DIFFERENT.

You see, idiot proles, the Democrat lawyer/ FBI executive decision-maker husband of the Democrat doctor/candidate, who received half a million dollars from the Democrat Governor of Virginia who is the head of the Democrat National Committee, received ethics advice from the Democrat lawyers at the FBI Solicitor's Office regarding his participation in the felony investigation of the Democrat presidential candidate.

And nobody saw any reason for McCabe to recuse himself pr to step away from the investigation. At all.

So that makes it all okay.

Agreed. It's beyond help. A third party needs to become a reality, and hopefully Jill Stein will siphon enough enough ecoweenies and Bernie Bros to where they can be a fourth. A four-party setup would do interesting things to the way our system works.

Whatever we do, the new party needs to drop all branding that would make people think of it as "just another wing of the Republican Party", and focus on getting the government to follow its own laws (a more sensible, moderate idea has never existed in the history of politics.) Going "Conservative Party" would feed the narrative that we're all a bunch of far-right wacko birds. They'll have a harder time pinning that on us if we don't give them the ammunition.

183 Thinking about today and the future, through the lens of what we know about this country's political system since the WikiLeaks and the Project Veritas revelations, things look not at all good for us little people. They think absolutely nothing of us except how we can make their gigantic fraud of a democracy look marginally legitimate - we give them plausible deniability, and that's all they need.

But when you take this lens and look backward in time at what has been done in the past, the interventions, the wars, the mountains of bullshit we have been fed and the mountains of bullshit that this country has fed the world, the future starts looking really, really bad.

This global arrogance and corrupted, decadent cultural morality that stems from possessing too much power actually started decades ago, most probably with the new deal or perhaps sooner.

I spoke with a Korean War Veteran yesterday in Costco when I saw his hat and I thanked him for his service. Turns out, he was also in Vietnam in '67. We exchanged a couple of sea stories and then he said to me, "I think about those protesters that we all used to hate. Turns out, they were right."

And he's right. But those same protesters grew up, and under the banner of 'the ends justify the means', they took corruption to the next level and it started paying off. It's actually amazing to see how their dreams of a better world resulted in this criminally polluted cesspool.

230 "Every Trump voter I know will crawl through broken glass to vote on election day. Most Hillary supporters are lukewarm at best and may vote if they happen to be passing a polling place on their way to store. If it's raining, no way."

True story. Years ago I went to the hardware store in my little town and saw that, indeed, the polls were open across the street for our mayoral election and said to myself "well, now I have no excuse" and voted. It ended in something like a 823 to 823 tie, ultimately resolved by a coin flip that my guy won.

The three honest tracking polls are showing a virtual tie between Trump and Hillary. The MSM polls are purposefully flawed and are a kind of voter suppression.

The outcome depends on turnout. That simple.

Not true. Beria survived Stalin, even denying the dictator treatment when he was discovered lying unconscious on the floor of his dacha. Beria was executed by the Triumvirate that took over after Stalin's death because Beria was universally loathed and feared. Krushchev came out on top from that Triumvirate.

290 It's interesting to me to see how the modern leftist movement was really born out of resistance to traditional values and as a result, the entire movement is discovering that successful societies actually need rules.

So they are coming up with their own, and they are ridiculous. Weird pronouns for non-existent genders, genderless restrooms, safe spaces, etc., etc.

Successful societies DO need rules. And as it is turning out, the ones we had that none of the new leftist liked, were pretty damned good. And the reality is that it wasn't so much the rules that they hate, it was where they originated from. They had evolved beyond the point of needing G-d.

As far as removing Beria from Soviet history, Beria was a real slime ball, even by Soviet 'standards'. He liked to drive around Moscow in his chauffeured car and pick up young girls, bring them back to his office and humiliate and rape them. Everybody knew Beria was doing this, but he was Stalin's guy, with the power of the KGB behind him, so they shut their mouths. Like I said, Beria was feared and loathed by Party members. When the opportunity arose after Stalin died in '53, the Party got rid of him three years later. I can't blame the Soviets for making Beria an unperson after he died.

331 Horde, I need your advice. This CA National Guard thing, for me, isn't the last straw, it's the last brick to the head. For me, the full faith and credit of the United States is on full display - $0.00. Actually worse than that, because these soldiers are in a worse position than if they had never done business with the US Government.

Here is my position: If this is legal, then I do not respect the laws of this land any more and will no longer salute its flag or stand for its anthem. If it is illegal, then the Pentagon lawyers who wrote these letters knew or should have known they were making baseless threats to their own veterans, and they should be fired and publicly shamed. In either case, I want these soldiers to get the money promised under the terms of the contracts THEY honored, and to receive personally-delivered apologies from very high levels.

I am calling my Senators and Reps today to say the above and to vow to vote against every incumbent of either party I can until these soldiers have been repaid and have received their apologies. I am, from this day until these things happen, a single-issue voter.

Here's where I need the sanity check and advice. I am also thinking about rather extreme civil disobedience. First, I mentioned my lost respect for the law if this behavior is legal: can any moron attorneys weigh in on that? Is there a civilian example of a situation in which a party to a contract can deliver the goods and services owed under the contract's terms and 10 years later lose the compensation described in the contract because, oops, their counter-party forgot to actually approve the expenditure? Can I call up the guy who built my deck and get the money back because I never got my wife to approve the expense? Is there an example anyone can think of that wouldn't be laughed out of court? I can think of only one - if the money were stolen, in which case the government has an excellent point!

Otherwise, I am thinking about a civil disobedience campaign. Not sending a dime in taxes while this problem exists. Breaking other federal laws, nonviolently, while this behavior remains legal. I understand that there is likely a price to be paid for this, and and so, second, how might one set up their affairs to shield their family as much as possible from the governments claws? Put all property in her name and file for divorce? If we still live together would that even do the trick?

I tried to enlist at 33 back in 2002 because I was willing to send soldiers to war in Iraq and it occurred to me that I wasn't too old to put my ass where my mouth was, so I did. My friends and family thought I was crazy at the time, but I wasn't. An old back injury kept me out of the service, to my great disappointment.

I am willing to go to war over THIS now, metaphorically and damn near physically. "We" have found countless billions of dollars to spend illegally over the last 16 years. Beating money out of these soldiers is simply robbery, IMO.

So, third, have I lost my mind? What's your "last straw?"

344 A new report from the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) concludes that the Obama administrations Department of Justice has been extorting fines from major banks, which are then used to fund leftist groups that push the Democratic vote.
The report notes that while community organizing groups have been using aggressive, terrorist tactics for decades to force banks to provide funding for their operations, the Obama administration has brought the power of the federal government to bear on their behalf. Banks are threatened with lawsuits for racial discrimination based on the controversial disparate impact theory, and offered incentives to settle by paying left-wing groups directly, beyond the review or oversight of Congress.

Without mentioning names, it basically said the same thing - and it DID come down from the Bishop - as that was how the priest closed out his homily.I may be alone in this, but I am heartened seeing Bishops and Priests out there who do stand up for what is moral, just and right. This SJW "must please everyone" B.S. is a cancer in our church - as a whole, and yes even in my own parish.

I know these guys, I grew up with them: There isn't anyone who will screw a fellow congregant over more than one Mormon to another. With a smile on their face and a pat on the back, brother.

It's also the leaders, they have fallen for the same spell that has captured the Catholics--illegals equal potential wallets in the pews.

So, the lower levels are picking up the cues the "leaders" are laying down. Couple this with the endless delusion too many have that they can stay apart from this "immoral" world.

This mediocre athlete has taken on way too much undeserved space in our heads.

408 I look forward to the day Hayden's ex-wife, Hanoi Jane, follows him in death.
The same goes for all of the remaining radicals of the '60s. Bill Ayers and Angela Davis are, unsurprisingly, still filling young minds with mush at college as professors.

My guess would be the coffers are empty. Everyday Republicans are not donating, they are sending money directly to Trump. The corporate money is all going to Hillary, they know who will look after them.

411 Glen Beck has turned into a harpy and/or shrew. Beck may be drunk on religion. Glen Beck has self reported that he had a rough childhood and that he was a drunk earlier in his career. I wish that Beck recovers from his current (whatever) but I can't recommend anyone listen to him at this time.

This makes me smile, and I sure need it.

Just got word late last night that my old school friend and maid of honor is currently off the grid several states away (which she lightheartedly implied was until after the election) because the temp jobs aren't keeping up with the bills after being laid off two years ago, and while her bank etc have worked out other payment processes, her electric will not budge and she hasn't had electricity for a week now. A friend who volunteers with her for cancer patients and rescue animals spilled the beans.

She is keeping her insulin in a cooler.

God bless my kids, even though they drive me nuts: son found me tearing up in my coffee this a.m., and handed me a wad from his paycheck to send to her.

Scowled me down and dared me to try and make him take it back.

Husband just started work again after a dry summer and us selling things and scrimping too, so I wish it were more I could send her--the kids have jobs, and are both sending something to my friend.

I am so grateful, and hope her pride lets her take it.

Any prayers sent her way greatly appreciated.

416 I'm late with my thank-you note, but SWOmoMeetup on Saturday was awesome. So nice to meet many wonderful morons. So nice to just sit and talk and laugh without self-censoring or fearing what the person next to you, listening in, might be thinking. It made me realize how paralyzed I am in my day-to-day living, in a highly divided neighborhood. So let me say tHANKs, tHANKs, tHANKs! Love you guys!

417 Well, scratch one more off my "Terminal Ill - Kill" list.

I always vowed that if I discovered that I only had a short time to live because of pancreatic cancer or other terminal illness, I would go take out some commies.

I know the Warren Commission is dubious, but didn't Jack Ruby ostensibly shoot Lee Harvey Oswald because he was terminally ill and wanted to go out a hero, at least in his mind?

I've seen the same thing. A very dear friend who is Mormon and lives in Utah is voting for McMuffin. I'm not Mormon but he and I share so much in common.

I understand where he's coming from because I toyed around with sitting out the presidential election for several months. However, tipping Utah to a McMuffin win will guarantee victory for Clinton.
