Reporter: So You're Doin' Better
Hillary: Super, Thanks For Asking
Reporter: So You'd Take a Neurocognitive Assessment Test
Hillary: Neurocognitive Assessment Test? What, Like a Cloth?

"That won't be necessary," Queen Lackthrone hissed.

“Some doctors have said, because of your age, as well as your opponent’s age, that you could be at higher risk for dementia or even Alzheimer’s and have suggested that you take some neurocognitive test,” ABC affiliate reporter Sarina Fazina said to Clinton. “Would you be willing to do that?”

“I’m very sorry I got pneumonia,” Clinton replied, letting out a hearty laugh. “I’m very glad that antibiotics took care of it. And that’s behind us now. I’ve met the standard that everybody running for president has met in terms of releasing information about my health.”

...

Asked specifically whether she’d submit to testing, Clinton said no.

“There’s no need for that. The information is very clear. And the information, as I said, meets the standards that every other person running for president has ever had to meet, and I’m happy that we’ve met and even exceeded them in certain ways,” she told the local Florida reporter.

BTW, Lester Holt does not have the authority to cut away for a commercial break, even if Queen Lackthrone begins an extended coughing fit.

19 Hiding in plain sight is the likely true story of Hillary's health problems.

In 2012 she said that she had a stomach virus, got dehydrated and fainted, fell down, hit her head and got a concussion, which gave her a blood clot.

Since then she's been taking Coumadin which is a blood thinner often used for people at risk of stroke. This is a serious drug which requires a lot of monitoring, and is often used because other drugs won't get the job done. Under its generic name warfarin, it was first developed as a rat poison.

More likely explanation of what actually happened to Hillary is that she had a blood clot that gave her a stroke.

Simple questions about why she's taking industrial strength Coumadin would expose this, no?

If Hillary gets elected (which I don't think will happen) get ready President Kaine in her first term.

20 Offtopic but have you guys seen the news about occulus rift founder being associated with some Trump meme generator? The ArsTech lefties are losing their minds about it. They keep calling it a racist meme generator but the only example of the thing from the company I see is the billboard "to big to jail" with hillary's giant head on it. Now dev's are dropping occulus projects because of it.

I think the guy should make a 3d camera for gay weddings and denounce every person dropping the occulus as against gay marriages and force them to provide services.

21 I neglected to include a key fact in my post above about Hillary covering up that she had a serious stroke in 2012.

Bill publicly said that it took Hillary "six months of very serious work to get over." This was after she left State, so her "disappearance" could be covered up.

Who needs six months to get over a concussion from a domestic slip and fall?

My elderly mother fractured her hip and femur at age 87. She said she remembers walking into her bedroom , a giant flash of light, and nothing until she woke up on the floor and the EMT's were beginning treatment.

Her surgeon told us that at her age and bone density, one of two things happened. She fell and broke her femur and hip, or her femur and/or hip fractured and she fell. There was no way to tell

Same thing with the story of the falling and blood clot/concussion.

No one stays on Coumadin today unless other anti coagulants are not adequate to address the problem. Everytime Hillary falls, she could cause internal bleeding. This is another absolutely jaw dropping issue of her not going to the hospital when she seizured at the 911 memorial. Another blood clot could have caused her seizure, or she could have started some kind of vascular bleed, besides the neurological issues and the supposed pneumonia that she was miraculously cured of after 3 hours.

120 this is starting to remind me of one of the last episodes of "Married with Children": Al agrees to sell his soul to the devil (Robert Englund was pretty funny here) in return for which Al wants to lead the Chicago Bears to the Superbowl. All goes well until the Superbowl, where Satan tells Al "I agreed to let you get here, I didn't say you could play." Al decides to play anyway and basically gets his head ripped off in the first play.
Coughing fits, fainting spells, oddly moving eyes, brief lapses of memory... someone should have forced Hill to watch "Bedazzled."

Trump's deal with Satan was that he could have a penthouse on Fifth Ave for half price.

I wonder if Hill will make it through the debate next Monday.

214 I really think this debate is going to end her campaign essentially. Based on the last few weeks, there's nothing to suggest she can make 90 minutes of standing and talking without something occurring medically that causes her to malf on stage.

There's three outcome possible in order of probability:
1. She throws a rod and starts doing the Robot to a Parliament Funkadelic tune only she can hear.
2. They put her on everything but skates to keep her symptoms down and she sounds like the sloth in Zootopia.
3. They manage choice # 2 to where she can speak coherently but the problem there is you're still left with Hillary Clinton, a woman who is to charm what Stephen Hawking is to Crossfit.

(This is the 3rd in a series that I will write about every day between now and the election)
"If Trump Wins..." - September 23, 2016
As voters step into the booth on November 8th they should close their eyes and try to picture what a Donald Trump presidency would look like. If the nation elects Donald Trump the consequences will be felt for decades to come. The Supreme Court will take an abrupt and sharp turn to the right, with women likely to lose the right to choose, environmental gains reversed, and unlimited campaign financing upheld. Russia and North Korea will be bolder, not fearing a know-nothing neophyte like Trump in the Oval Office. NATO will fall apart because Trump will insist on all nations paying their fair share for our defending them. Nuclear weapons will proliferate as Trump strikes down the Iran agreement and encourages other countries to develop nuclear capability. Obamacare will be repealed and millions will lose their coverage, and the elderly will see their benefits shrink as Trump and a Republican Congress make sharp cuts Social Security and Medicare. If Trump wins it will signify the end of American exceptionalism and a huge blow to our status around the world.

Posted by: Slash Buzz at September 23, 2016 02:17 PM (2VplJ)

This is what bothers me. They act like they're above us and someone special. All a presidential candidate is, is someone looking for a job doing a series of interviews and skill demonstrations. They should be nervous and worried we will dump them, and be forced to go through everything you and I have to, to get a job.

And not just a fry cook job, a top-end high-security job. So you have to submit not just tax info and proof of birth, but school transcripts, drug tests, and a full security profile. I want them raked over the coals, not mollycoddled. I want them sweating at night how we'll respond, not arrogantly shouting "YOU ARE WITH ME AND I SHOULD BE UP FIFTY POINTS!"

Hillary (IMHO) is one of those lovely people who will brook no back-talk, no counsel, no direction, or allow any control over her life in any way shape or form. Winning is the only thing she will accept, and that is to rub that in the face of anyone who might be in a position to control her.
What makes it worse, is that if she fails to grab the brass ring this time she may wind up in jail or people who paid for results may get testy.
It was reported, and I have no idea if it was a joke or not, that she told reporters that if she fails they will all be hanging from lamp-posts together.

She is now contemplating having sold everything to gain the world, and not quite closing the deal.

299 I think a line up of Bill's rape victims in the front row would just make Hillary bust out laughing uncontrollably. She despises humanity like any psychopath, they wouldn't unnerve her at all.

--------------------

She has never actually been publicly pinned down on the Juanita Broaddrick rape. She answered one question once in front of a worshipful audience, and she answered it badly but there was no followup allowed. To put Juanita right in front of Hillary and demand on live intergalactic television, "What do you have to say to this woman?" would be a different game altogether from the dodge-and-lie she's managed all these years.

A high school buddy of mine worked as a used car salesman for many years. He's a sales executive now in another industry--oneas far away from automotive he could find. He told me the lot is the hardest school on the planet but he wouldn't trade it for anything. He bristles when people tease him about the used car salesman stereotype.

Here's the thing (according to my salesman buddy): Cheat a cutomer on a deal and they'll tell a dozen people they were cheated, who'll each tell a dozen more. Give good service and they'll tell maybe one other person. According to him, crooks and liars don't last long in that business.

So yeah, way more trustworthy than Hillary Clinton.

399 Trump is more comfortable in front of the camera and on stage - lots of experience from years of reality shows and beauty pageants. Hillary tends to be stiff or come across angry - it will be interesting to see what meds they give her so she is more relaxed and 'authentic'.

400 Had she just taken her lumps early on, she probably would have cruised into the White House.

Had she just said she had some health challenges early on, I think this would largely be a non-issue.

Not the health stuff. That's why she's hiding it. This affects her day to day life.

Trump has the momentum, and there's a lot that can still go wrong that she'll be tagged with.

The debate topics look to help Trump:

2) Achieving Prosperity
3) Securing America

A high percentage of Americans think we're on the wrong track, won't blame Obama. So #1 plays to Trump.

If NATO falls apart because we make them actually spend their 2% of GDP on defense rather than policing rape zones, then it would presumably fall apart the first time Putin gave it a decent kick anyway.

Uh...we have a fictional London detective lacking fecal matter. Nuclear weapons are already proliferating, at least in part thanks to the Iranian mole in the White House.

Once again we're looking in this guy's ear and finding gum wrappers and a used condom but no clues.

This country's status around the world has been on the MH370 flight path for a long time, you can argue whether it began with Obama, with the financial crisis, or six weeks after the Iraq invasion when lawfare and bureaucracy took over and the lack of sufficient force for a proper occupation became evident.

But we've already been coasting through the air for a very long time, no matter.

Cruz supporters tend to be heavily engaged in the pollitical process and know the importance of the SCOTUS, which is the issue pushing the late endorsements. They may gripe, but they will vote for Trump, at least the pragmatic ones will.

Append: SCOTUS the excuse used for the endorsements. There's also the fact that a politician needs to be seen as a supporter of the President, for access, etc. So the endorsements are recognition that his chances are good enough that access must be insured now. Cruz isn't the type to "cross the aisle" so he has to get along with Republicans a little.

495 Shit, today has brought bad polling news, and to the extent that I believe and accept the validity of polls this year (not huge, but a bit), they are making me depressed.

We FINALLY have two new polls taken in the wake of Hillary Terrible Two Weeks -- "deplorables," fainting in public, canceling most public appearances, health scare, Trump going gaffe-free and pulling off some some excellent media manipulation, etc. -- and in BOTH polls her lead is unchanged -- rock-solid unbreakable approximate 5-point lead over Trump.

And the worst part? One of those polls is by BREITBART, who are basically the Trump campaign staff at this point. So there's no way that poll is biased against him.

The two new polls today are

McClatchy:
Hillary +7, 46% vs. 39% for Trump

Breitbart
Hillary +4, 44% vs. 40% for Trump.

These polls are essentially the same as the previous polls these two groups took, many weeks ago. Unchanged.

Double-shit! If these last two weeks didn't put a dent in her numbers, nor boost Trump, then what possibly could?

577 Wonder if those glasses she has been wearing has been to try and obscure cock-eyed moments.

You can't trust a word she says, or what her team says. She might have some kind of blood clot that's relatively benign (all things considered). But she could also have some kind of neurological/brain disease, for all we know. The lies (including the pneumonia) just don't make sense. And even a non-partisan individual evaluating the candidates has to feel that she just can't be trusted.

I hope that she has an episode during the debate. After that, maybe she can go get the healthcare that she needs.

The speculation that's everywhere is entirely because she is not being truthful about her health situation. But I imagine that there is probably a range to whatever condition she has (from, say, relatively mild to relatively severe). We just don't know really.I bet the blood thinners are one of the reasons why she is wearing winter clothing in late summer/indian summer. I've seen people on blood thinners complain constantly that they are cold all the time. Who knows, maybe she is also covering up some more extensive medical devices/machines on her body. We can't know because she won't release her records, or undergo a proper evaluation.Hillary is entirely untrustworthy. But because she is so untrustworthy about everything, its hard to say sometimes whether she really needs to lie about something, or not. 648 People have pointed it out before but Trump usually polls around 40%. It's Hillary's number that goes up or down. As of now his ceiling is very low. If he turns in a home run debate performance, maybe that will change. But it's a gigantic problem when 50% of the voters consider him racist, which is what the AP poll found.

661 It would have been nice had Trump matched Hillary's fundraising.

If there's anything this election has shown, its not the dollars spent but how you spend them and how you run that counts. Trump has been outspent like 40:1 by his opponents and shellacked all of them in the primaries, and is doing very well against Hillary.

Hillary rails against money in politics, and loads up on it to spend. What she really means is private money in politics.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor

I see people throw this around all the time, but this doesn't prove though that NOT spending money helps you.

You can absolutely be a shitty candidate and spend a fortune and not win. But you can also be a great candidate and lose because of lack of resources.

So if we had a Trump that could have matched resources with Hillary (him being a billionaire and all) I honestly think Trump would be destroying Hillary if he could have upped his spending by 40 times.

Money does matter in elections

They're all whores. That's the system. You need money to run, and
its the guys like the Mercers - and Trump who provide that money in
exchange for "consideration." You''re never going to get a real
candidate without that.

I agree, I gave it 1 1/2 seasons and stopped. It was interesting but awful at the same time and I didn't care for it. Jim Gordon is supposed to be a good guy in a swamp of awful, not neck deep in the awful.

The way they should have done the show is start it just before Batman showed up, like a year or two. Show how things are and why they need Batman.

Then have Batman show up, but be like an urban legend: you never really see him except maybe a shadow on a rooftop. Tell the story from the perspective of the cops.

736 Nope. Trump will win. Been saying it for a long time.
Posted by: Ignoramus

Honestly? Trump will likely lose. I am voting for Trump, and honestly, with some enthusiasm. I have sent him money, and will send him more. The alternative is quite disheartening, to say the least.

I expect him to lose, but it is not time to lay down and stop fighting. And I will not lay down to Hillary's stupidity, venality and deceit.

I have reached a point in my life when I really don't care what the rest of the human race thinks. I have seen the face of Clintonism, and it is an ugly face. To stand aside and not oppose it, or to tacitly allow it is frankly unthinkable. But we are going to get it.

I think this country is going to be in for some very hard times, and the Republican Party is a shambling mess, and not a real opposition party. No leadership, no ideas, no strategy.

Ted Cruz has a very small chance of getting nominated in 2020, and thus a very small chance of getting elected. I think he is an irrelevant rubber duck in a bubble bath. And he's done it to himself. He has a very loyal coterie of followers, but most people outside this clique are put off by his unwillingness to work within the party. Not his principles, which are generally admirable, but his penchant for giving everyone else the middle finger.

Sure.

They're all flawed. Everyone is. Some are less flawed. Some are more. Some are flawed in one way, some in another.

One of the real problems with modern Conservatism and this board in general is the need for apocalyptic absolutes. It has to be, for instance, "The GOPe is the worst thing ever" not "The GOPe is very bad in certain identifiable ways, but there are worse things." And no, that isn't a defense of the GOPe.

744 Then have Batman show up, but be like an urban legend: you never really see him except maybe a shadow on a rooftop. Tell the story from the perspective of the cops.

I always wanted a superhero show where the secret identity worked. Like, you'd see Batman sometimes, and Bruce Wayne other times, but it'd be clever enough that you wouldn't think they were the same guy.

I'm not sure how well established characters like Batman would work for this concept, because of course duh Bruce Wayne is Batman, unless the twist is that in the show, it's someone else? That's a hard sell too.

But I also don't know if anyone would care if it's not based on an existing property.

Anyway, a Gotham PD show would be cool. Make it a mix of standard Law and Order stuff with the occasional murder clown or something, and it slowly gets darker and weirder.
