Now, 59% of registered voters view Mrs. Clinton unfavorably, up seven percentage points in three weeks since the prior ABC/Post poll in the wake of continued negative coverage surrounding Mrs. Clinton’s emails and the Clinton Foundation. Mr. Trump’s unpopularity among registered voters, meanwhile, is at 60%, compared with 61% in the previous poll.

Smart set was laughing at Scott Adams a lot the last couple of weeks, since Trump was deemed finished.
I believe he said last fall that all we needed to do was make Hillary more unfavorable, didn't need to make Trump's numbers improve. Seems like that could happen. It would sure be nice if Trumps numbers did improve a bit though. Seems a poignant observation from back when all these geniuses were still saying Trump wouldn't win a single delegate.

If you are worried about your job or your spouse's job and some random person calls you and wants to know your opinion about our First Black President, is that nagging voice in the back of your mind going to let you say, "I think he is the nastiest shit bird ever to hold office" or are you going to play it safe and say, "He's a great guy."

It could get interesting if things, (and I think they will), move closer. Nate Silver was on twitter a while ago trumpeting how tenuous her current EV lead is. It could go very badly for her if she's forced out onto the trail, and it could go very badly if she stays in hiding. Interesting how things could be in a week or two vs. how they were 3 weeks ago, when Trump was dead and buried.
I've been somewhat dejected thinking Trump might need to rely on some black swan event or wikileaks to put him in the lead, but soon the shoe could be on the other foot, and the HRC camp could be rooting for the same to stall Trump again.
That being said, he cant afford another moment that gives the media a hammer to beat him with. The small stuff, people brush off, needs to do OK in the debate, and stay on the high road.

I don't disagree. That's why the ad seemed off to me. It was a spam spot on Fakebook. I took the verbiage verbatim and it makes it sound as though that is all that has been raised for the month.
After a quick search, it appears he has come out with the same appeal in both June and July. Which, if true, means he has (or will have) thrown in another $6mil on top of the $50mil or so that he forgave the loan on. I hadn't heard of him doing that before now.

We live across the street from a university-which our kids go to. We often get kids from the school doing "polls" around the neighborhood. One girl, and her prof (who was just a little creepy, if you ask me) were polling on climate change. THey were from the communications department, not the environmental science dept. They started asking if I knew how bad climate change really was, because according to experts...and I interrupted- "Are you talking about the experts in East Anglia? Joe and Jane Average apparently think that there will be some bonanza to the public fisc if the illegals "pay their back taxes". In reality, since the lower 50% of income earners in America these days have no net federal tax liability, and illegals are overwhelmingly in that lower 50%, there isn't going to be any money being paid in by them even if they do come clean and file retroactive returns.
In fact, with the EITC, some illegals would be getting *paid* out of the public fisc if they actually filed their back taxes.

Monday about six PM, I was behind a car here in Tulsa and the driver and passenger were both acting really weird. It took me a minute to figure out they were doing the macarena. It was a very old car--late 80s without tinted windows, which is what let me see their silliness. Here most cars have deeply tinted windows to keep out the heat/sun.

No, one kid has extreme social anxiety, and couldn't talk to save his life, and the girl child will answer, but it will be science, and completely unrelated to the question. But the hilarity that would ensue would be awesome.
