Decrepit Alcoholic Grifter's Unfavorable Ratings Rise to Match Those of Lunatic Narcissistic Conman

Trump's unfavorables are staying where they usually are -- around 60 -- but Clinton's have risen to 59.

Now, 59% of registered voters view Mrs. Clinton unfavorably, up seven percentage points in three weeks since the prior ABC/Post poll in the wake of continued negative coverage surrounding Mrs. Clinton’s emails and the Clinton Foundation.

Mr. Trump’s unpopularity among registered voters, meanwhile, is at 60%, compared with 61% in the previous poll.

60 Glad to see this, favorability/unfavorqbility I'd the single most important factor in a presidential race. My biggest gripe with Trump was that he was the only person in the country with unfavorables higher than Hillary's. His path to victory relies on lowering his unfavorables and/or raising hers. Glad to see it happening and hope the trend continues as the Margin of Fraud this time around will be unprecedented.

Smart set was laughing at Scott Adams a lot the last couple of weeks, since Trump was deemed finished.

I believe he said last fall that all we needed to do was make Hillary more unfavorable, didn't need to make Trump's numbers improve. Seems like that could happen. It would sure be nice if Trumps numbers did improve a bit though. Seems a poignant observation from back when all these geniuses were still saying Trump wouldn't win a single delegate.

I also think that a lot of people don't trust that polling people are who they say they are. If you are worried about your job or your spouse's job and some random person calls you and wants to know your opinion about our First Black President, is that nagging voice in the back of your mind going to let you say, "I think he is the nastiest shit bird ever to hold office" or are you going to play it safe and say, "He's a great guy."

Same with Hillz.

Why take the chance of ruining your life by telling some stranger just how you feel?

BTW, folks feel safe criticizing Trump because it's done on the news every night.

why she's so unpopular,

I think they get it, and I think that is why they are grasping at every straw to ridicule trump. They know they have a very unlikable candidate, but their only hope is to fear their voters to the poles, and to scare leaning-right voters away.

She hides since she has no appeal and is not looking for voters. Press relentlessly trashes trump to make him a scary prospect.

181 "158 Hillary isn't Bill. This will become even more obvious from here to November. Can you imagine Bill trying to hide out during a campaign? "

It could get interesting if things, (and I think they will), move closer. Nate Silver was on twitter a while ago trumpeting how tenuous her current EV lead is. It could go very badly for her if she's forced out onto the trail, and it could go very badly if she stays in hiding. Interesting how things could be in a week or two vs. how they were 3 weeks ago, when Trump was dead and buried.

I've been somewhat dejected thinking Trump might need to rely on some black swan event or wikileaks to put him in the lead, but soon the shoe could be on the other foot, and the HRC camp could be rooting for the same to stall Trump again.

That being said, he cant afford another moment that gives the media a hammer to beat him with. The small stuff, people brush off, needs to do OK in the debate, and stay on the high road.

This is, IMO, the last gasp of Democracy in the US.

The TEA party folks got angry, organized, but were then co-opted by the GOPe and media.... they tried to change things from inside... and got no support from the Government / Media Complex.

That anger has now brought a total non politician to be the Repub candidate for President...

People like myself see it as a last chance to try to change Washington... even if the candidate we are voting for to do it, is flawed...

If the Media and GOPe are able to sabotage Trump enough so he loses... we KNOW then that Democracy is done in this country...

...
I don't disagree. That's why the ad seemed off to me. It was a spam spot on Fakebook. I took the verbiage verbatim and it makes it sound as though that is all that has been raised for the month.
After a quick search, it appears he has come out with the same appeal in both June and July. Which, if true, means he has (or will have) thrown in another $6mil on top of the $50mil or so that he forgave the loan on. I hadn't heard of him doing that before now.

One girl, and her prof (who was just a little creepy, if you ask me) were polling on climate change. THey were from the communications department, not the environmental science dept. They started asking if I knew how bad climate change really was, because according to experts...and I interrupted- "Are you talking about the experts in East Anglia? It's okay if our factories move away. Americans will become investment bankers, not factory workers.

It makes me feel better only because it shows that there is a limit to the shit even the stupid public will accept from the msm. The media has been trying to wipe Hillary's record clean (with a cloth!) by telling us the scandals are no big deal and oh, look, here's grannie cankles with Chelsea and the baby, isn't that sweet! Crooked? Oh, c'mon lets not dwell on "ancient history." And hey, Trump said this....

270 Yes, you all already know this, but ....

"in the wake of continued negative coverage surrounding Mrs. Clinton's emails and the Clinton Foundation"

If Clinton were GOP (any flavor), or non-racist, non-authoritarian (i.e. what the Dems "libs" "progressives" boil down to now), the "coverage" of her flamboyant criminality and incompetence and unethical sleaze would blot out the sun. She wouldn't be a major party nominee. She wouldn't have a public career of any sort. She wouldn't have been SecState. She would have been forced from public life by an FBI that had any integrity.

And T-Rump, as histrionic and unconventional as he is, actually clocks in as meaningfully less lunatic or conman than any major Dem public figure. And his narcissism is inseparable from his schtick/business model, whereas with Obama it's clearly malignant and unconnected to reality or a practical objective.

271 "My favorite is when they try to spin the 'illegals who don't break the law get to stay stuff'..."

No, the best one is "illegals can stay if they pay their back taxes".

That line must light up like a supernova in the focus groups and the push polls, because it gets brought up over and over and over and over again by the amnesty mongers.

Joe and Jane Average apparently think that there will be some bonanza to the public fisc if the illegals "pay their back taxes". In reality, since the lower 50% of income earners in America these days have no net federal tax liability, and illegals are overwhelmingly in that lower 50%, there isn't going to be any money being paid in by them even if they do come clean and file retroactive returns.

In fact, with the EITC, some illegals would be getting *paid* out of the public fisc if they actually filed their back taxes.

I am fairly certain I did not.

The lowest bar to date is by no means the lowest bar anyone has to stumble over to fail at the job.

I would say there are many, many rungs above Obama's level of sheer ineptitude that would qualify anyone as a failure of a president. We've had several failures in our history that were far more qualified than our current choices.

Just because someone is going to "win" the coming election doesn't mean they are qualified to the position they find themselves in.

428 a government that doesn't keep throwing other people's money at failing companies? There is such a thing?

That's just how I picture them, I am like totally sure they are really winsome lingerie models taking a quick break here at AoSHQ from their Quantum Mechanics PHD thesis writing while nibbling on quinoa and drinking a kale smoothie and looking out their penthouse apartment view of the Hudson river.

Grayson lost.

McCain was a lock anyway, surprised it was that close.

Presidential polls tightening.

More bad email news for Hillary has come out.

Trump is in Mexico.

Hillary is in stasis.

I'll take it.

433 242 Too bad we didn't nominate someone good. He'd be crushing Hillary right now. You know, not failing miserably.

Too bad this perfect candidate did not decide to run this time around. Would have been nice if he or she had.

There is no better candidate for what is needed than Trump. It would be nice if he were more perfect, but there you are.

435 I can only hope that Trump asks the Mexican president... why don't you get your own damn house in order instead of sending your kids to my house to eat my food, use my band-aids and sleep in my kids beds?

Oh my gawd, ace!

Did you just watch and hear that horrible CONMAN Trump's news conference with the president of Mexico?

Clearly, everything Trump said was a total lie!!
You can tell by the way he comported himself in the presence of the Mexican president that Trump was just LYING AND LYING - you know, because Trump is so obviously a CONMAN!!

It doesn't matter that there's no rational basis for concluding that Trump is a CONMAN.
Nope.
Not at all.

All that matters is that true blue conservatives (like yourself) keep on castigating Trump as a CONMAN ... well, just because!
Because it is so very important to bear false witness like that.
Nothing could be more important than calling someone an awful thing for which there is little ( OR __NO__) reason to believe he is such a thing.

That bastard CONMAN Trump doesn't stand a chance in the general election with righteous conservatives like you speaking wanna-be-"truth" against him.
(I know you claim that you sort of 'default' favor Trump because you have no other choice. But get real: when you call Trump a CONMAN you are in no way supporting him.)

You just keep on pointing that shaming finger, ace.
It's a MIGHTY finger.

And you know just exactly where to stick it.
