Oh, Joy: Seattle City-Run Class Will Teach Citizens about "White Fragility"
A city-run class will be available to residents of Seattle if they want to learn about "white fragility." The course will teach attendees about why they can't handle issues of race.... The Office of Arts and Culture is funded to the tune of $8.3M of taxpayer dollars. There will be two 4-hour classes, on held on August 17 and one on September 7.
Lecturer Robin DiAngelo, who coined the term, is teaching the taxpayer-funded class for the city Office of Arts and Culture. She defines white fragility as "a state in which even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves."

A poster was talking about the hacked Soros emails which indicate Soros lobbied Obama to bring in Syrian refugees.
Heard this on Breitbart the other night. Apparently, Chobani yogurt is owned by a Turkish nationalist. In Idaho, Chobani has the US yogurt plant. They are now getting employees via the US government in the form of resettled Syrian refugees.
The kicker? The refugees are being paid minimum wage by Chobani and the rest of their wage, another $7.25 per hour, is being paid to Chobani by the US government. That brings them up to the standard $15 an hour Chobani pays it's employees. However, Chobani is no longer hiring any US citizens or the Mexican's it used to hire, because they would then have to pay them out of their own income. Instead the sweet deal they have means they have workers who are being paid by the government.
No more Chobani for me....

Nevergiveup, the Obama administration yesterday sent down an edict that any homeless shelter in the US that receives federal funding may NOT discriminate against transgender individuals. So if your homeless shelter has a dorm for women and children , and a man shows up saying he's a woman, you must put him with the ladies.

Actually Seattle is wealthy by any standard. Very high end housing, a lot of businesses who cannot move (and make it up on no state income tax) huge tax revenues and living under their own economic bubble all through the recession. This is my church denominational equivalent. They assure you that they want to "dialogue" and then ask "What questions do you have about homosexuality?" I don't have any questions about homosexuality; I have questions about maintaining our church order. I hate being told what we will dialogue about without any imput from me and and then being told to give my name and church. Look, I understand you don't won't vitriolic anonymous people (or either side of the gay marriage debate) spewing nastiness by e-mail, but there is no way this is not going to be punitive. A poster was talking about the hacked Soros emails which indicate Soros lobbied Obama to bring in Syrian refugees.
Heard this on Breitbart the other night. Apparently, Chobani yogurt is owned by a Turkish nationalist. In Idaho, Chobani has the US yogurt plant. They are now getting employees via the US government in the form of resettled Syrian refugees.
The kicker? The refugees are being paid minimum wage by Chobani and the rest of their wage, another $7.25 per hour, is being paid to Chobani by the US government. That brings them up to the standard $15 an hour Chobani pays it's employees. However, Chobani is no longer hiring any US citizens or the Mexican's it used to hire, because they would then have to pay them out of their own income. Instead the sweet deal they have means they have workers who are being paid by the government.
No more Chobani for me....

Last year the Denver Public Schools held a screenings of the movie "I'm not a racist, am I?" which they incorporated into their curriculum. The movie chronicles a class who discussed racism over the course of a year (IIRC) - so major black./white issues, etc. Had a friend who attended one screening, and when the opened it up to comments/Q and A, this was the first comment made by a parent:
"Oh, I thought this would be more about how bigoted Christians are. I really hate those people."
I'm going to make a bold prediction that this class on white fragility will be just as effective as that movie in (not) teaching people about tolerating others.

That's Darwin still winning. Contrary to the stereotypes, big boobs correlate with higher intelligence. Some butt-age, a nice ass, also correlates with higher intelligence (of both the woman and the offspring -- we humans store some damn fatty acid that is crucial to brain development in our asses preferentially).
And, natural blondes are the most intelligent.
So, believe it or not, Blonde with big boobs and a wonderful ass is Darwin at work. It's a beautiful thing.
