Chaos implies out of control, which it wasn't. The convention was totally controlled, and a well managed event to beguile the rubes while the professionals in the back rooms made big money deals. The mob scenes were just leverage to be used by the big players. Too bad Bernie sold out. I hope what ever it was that he got, was worth it.

Of course, now that my hubbie has dumped another $10 Trillion in debt on the heads of our kids, and imported millions and millions of new third-world welfare dependents that our kids are going to have to support, and wrecked our health care system, the future will probably be grim for most of our kids.

But hey, Barky and I are going to get multi-million-dollar book deals soon, and then we'll go out on the speaking circuit and make a few million more, and maybe we'll set up our own "charitable" foundation so we can scam even more money. Plus we'll have the presidential pension, the millions a year in "administrative" expenses from the taxpayers, and of course, the millions of dollars worth of free security that a lifetime of Secret Service protection costs.

So my kids will do fine. Not only will they be rich, but because of their skin color, they will also get the many affirmative action preferences that made it so easy for an unqualified person like me to get into Ivy League schools (and also to get my one and only lawyer job, although my black skin didn't make me competent, and I was fired after just a few years. Luckily, I had my hubbie's political connections to fall back on, and was soon given a 6-figure, no-work job that was specially designed for my lack of talents).

So really this election won't affect me or my privileged, pampered kids. We're already set for life, thanks to this raaaaacist country that is constantly trying to keep us blacks down. But the rest of you rubes better vote the right way, because life for YOUR kids is really going to suck. LOL.

None of us can control what a sovereign country does. Russia is following its interests, as expected. And if they leak a bunch of e-mails, that doesn't make whats in the e-mails untrue. If they leak stuff from Hillary's server, well, that just goes to show what a colossal disaster she is. Its troubling that Russian hacking can plausibly affect the outcome of the election. But there is nothing that can be done about it, and, the reason that it has an effect is because the institutions and people who were hacked are corrupt in the first place. The DNC should have been neutral between Hillary and Sanders. They weren't. Hillary should have used a government e-mail and not a private bathroom server. She didn't. She should not have been corrupt in her dealings. She was.

I suppose that these leaks are (perhaps) circumstantial evidence that Putin prefers Trump to Hillary. But, frankly, there is no way to know what a President Trump will do once in office. And, given his comments about NATO -- if he is elected, the American people will have determined that it was OK to elect a leader who may welsh on the NATO alliance. Its not as if Trump is actually hiding his thoughts on the subject.

The whole Russian defense that the DNC is pushing is weaksauce.

Wife took her car to another mechanic. After checking it, they said her differential is definitely going and pointed out the same part the dealer supposedly replaced. When she told them it had already been done, they said Not a chance.

Basically the dealer is engaging in warranty fraud, trying to run out her warranty and rope her in for another repair. I told her to email Suzuki USA customer service and report them, then speak to the manager for the dealership. We'll see what happens.

They have lived separately since she moved out of the WH early. She's had her own mansion in DC, bought right after she was elected to the Senate. Her mom lived with her until she passed, and I assume Huma stays there when she's in DC since her home is in NYC.

I'm willing to put my paycheck our priest will not say a word. So many of them today neglect to stand up and state what is right and wrong - for fear of losing parishioners. As a cradle Catholic, it breaks my heart.

I just wanted to do a quick polling update for you.

The RCP average is now showing Trump in the lead by almost 1 point. The average stands at Trump 45.6 and Clinton 44.7.

There are no new polls, but what happened is that all of the polls from prior to the RNC have been flushed out of the system.

This IS a BIG DEAL.

This is the first time that Trump has shown actual increase in support, rather than Clinton losing support. Before, all tightening of the race came from Clinton supporters moving into the undecided column.

But finally Trump is moving up. Instead of being stuck at 40%, he is now averaging over 45% support. This is a very significant change in the state of the race.

Then you have the numbers problem. You know that "record number of votes" that they're crowing about? You know who go more votes than Trump through the primaries? Hillary Clinton.

She has also been consistently trouncing him in fundraising, available cash, spending, and organizations in place. Now that he has the nomination, all his free, non- stop media has ended and been replaced by periodic talking points from Clinton/ DNC.

So much for that "winning so much you won't believe it" thing. The only people Trump is interested in beating are the people in the party he just got nominated to lead.

The theme that is going to win the black votes is that the democrats have been playing them for chumps all these years. Thanks to democrats, a mother with 4 children in the inner city can count on 2 of them winding up in jail and only 1 learning how to read and write.

Trump will give them the villain and excuse they've been looking for - why there has been no progress in poverty since the 1930s.

If you want to win people over in a wave, give them a common enemy. With a big chunk of the black vote switching parties, the democrats will be out of power for the next 10 generations.

414 Back from a little trip to Wisconsin, 45 mins north of Madison and the most striking thing about the trip was the farms. They were literally Estates, with the most awesome manorial homes, outbuildings and experimental-marked fields of corn and soy, and passed one grape winery operation. Astonishing because I have never seen working farms in my entire life so unbelievably perfect. There were a few 'regular' farms -- very nice and well-kept, but obviously working operations.

I'm just trying to figure out why such moneyed operations are around Madison, WI. It really looked more like fantasy. Tax breaks must be awesome.

Fluency in Spanish, if not orally then the ability to read Spanish-language literature in Spanish; history from the colonial period, through the Bolivarian revolution and including such events as the Paraguayan War; literature and other culture encompassing Marquez, Telles, Manuel Tavarez, "La Bamba," why the hell Venezuelans like Frescolito, etc.; etc. This would all strike me as a worthwhile course of study culminating in a meaningful degree ...
