3d Div moved on through Cori - took a nice bag of prisoners on the way. VI Corps total is well over 3000 now. 3d moved on through Guilinello and almost to Artena. 1st AD is reported to have cut Hwy 6. The move out of Cori towards Artena was more of a rout than a withdrawal. Between our tanks, artillery and air corps Gerry lost a lot of men and equipment
Taylor took me for a spin over the battlefield. We were up for two hours, watched the shooting in Cori, looked in on Cisterna, saw some Tiger tanks and a few PW's, then went around to various gun positions Gerry had vacated. We saw ten guns either destroyed or abandoned. It was really quite a show.



Taylor was the pilot of the Stinson L5 artillery observation plane. What an awesome way for my dad to view what was taking place on the battleground below!
Hwy 6 was the second of the two main roads running SE-NW parallel to the coast. Blocking Highway 6 would enable the entrapment of several German divisions who were currently engaged in the south. Is that what General Mark Clark has in mind?

I'm in college right now and I drink a lot. Usually more than 10 drinks two or three times week. Ever since I started college I have been searching for something to prevent hangovers. I have tried many other products for this but haven't really noticed a difference. Probably nothing more than the placebo effect.

The difference I notice with this product, is definitely NOT the placebo effect. If I have under 10 drinks in a night and take two capsules I can barely tell I drank the night before. I only ever have hangovers now when I really go crazy. I mean like 13+ drinks. In those cases I still feel a little sick and have a moderate headache. But the hangovers are nothing compared to what they were like before I took this stuff. There were days I couldn't leave my bed to close to dinner I was so hungover. Haven't had a day like that since.

One thing I noticed with this product is diminishing returns. In other words, two to three capsules will do wonders when I stop at 10 drinks. But if I go to like 15 drinks it doesn't matter if I take three capsules or six capsules, the effect seems to be about the same.


She's actually testing the limits.
I didn't read any other comments. I didn't have to....

Nah. SA has been going under for quite some time, so (at least in the Houston area) most of the inventory is the usual "going out of business" dreck shoveled in at the last minute.

We know exactly how Hilary Clinton will rule.

Now that said, Mr. Trump's record right up until now is problematic.

It is incumbent on him to reassure us, not for us to necessarily fall in line.

We have to make sure Hilary does not win in November.

If we do that, we also have to make sure that Donald Trump moves to the right on ALL issues.

I started reading Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series a month ago and really enjoying it. Goodkind is believer in Ayn Rand's objectivism and I've already seen some allusions to it reading the first book.

I've only used it to borrow ebooks from my library. My library has a pretty great selection but no Corriera and The Witcher books which I also want to read.

I shoot film, a lot of it, and I've always been happy with my main medium-format camera - a 70's-era Kiev 88 - but lenses are getting harder and harder to come across, and I'm really in the market for a nice portrait lens (been getting a lot of requests for portraits lately, and the 90mm lens I have can sometimes be less than flattering in that application).

Anywho, the Kiev factory is still in production, believe it or not, but their current models use a different, non-adaptable lens mounting system, so I can't just buy a new kaleinar lens from them and slap it on the old camera. To use the new glass, i'd have to buy the new camera, not that I'm opposed to that, of course, but still....

If I keep trolling flea-bay, I might luck out one day and find a compatible version of the kaleinar - they were made, after all - and save a few hundred bucks by not buying a new set-up.

But the new Kiev cameras make mine look like an agricultural instrument in terms of its mechanical crudity. Their new production stuff is still all-mechanical, but their quality is off the charts, which tempts me, of course.....

So, what would the Horde advise?

I like Larry--read almost all his books and yes, I believe from reading his political posts that being Mormon affects his viewpoint. It's not a bad thing--it just is. Every person on the planet has their viewpoint skewed by their upbringing and their faith, mine certainly is. So, no, I cannot point to a specific example, but, I can tell you this, when I read the posts that made the light bulb go on in my little tiny brain about his being Mormon, then I understood just a little bit more about his Conservative roots. He is a helluva writer, a devoted husband and father, and a tireless advocate for gun rights. I would be honored to meet him and shake his hand.

What the south needed back then was a dealmaker...

All the plantation owners could have freed their slaves, paid them the prevailing wage, then opened a "company store" for them to rent housing, buy food and clothing and take care of all their other needs.

The owners would have come out a lot better financially.

Of course, the owners couldn't go out an whip their expensive property for fun, like most people believe was a daily occurrence. Just like today, when car dealers hammer new Ferraris for shits and giggles.

Ok, so it's just a hunch then. Some people are shaped by their heritage and upbrginging, others aren't. I know I'm sure not. Some go with it, some go against it, some do whatever. That sort of idea buys into a lot of the assumptions behind modern sociological hypotheses that are driving the nonsense in our culture today.


Larry's a pretty solid conservative, libertairan-ish guy with an accounting background. And so he holds a different view, perhaps, than you do about Trump and so he's the one in the Mormon bubble?
