Hate-Crime Hoaxer Who Claimed He Got a Cake With an Icing Slur Admits Whole Foods Did Nothing Wrong

He does not admit he himself perpetrated the hoax, alas.

But given that he's now saying Whole Foods didn't write "fag" on his stupid cake, who else is left that could have written it, except him?

Here's this idiot "pastor's" statement:

Today I am dismissing my lawsuit against Whole Foods Market. The company did nothing wrong. I was wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story. I want to apologize to Whole Foods and its team members for questioning the company’s commitment to its values, and especially the bakery associate who I understand was put in a terrible position because of my actions. I apologize to the LGBT community for diverting attention from real issues. I also want to apologize to my partner, my family, my church family, and my attorney.

Lot of apologies there for a guy who's not actually saying "I did it."

It's time to add Munchausen Syndrome (Social Justice Warrior type) to the DSM psychiatric manual. This is a fairly major psychological problem now.

29 A considerable proportion of these hoax hate crimes involve the hoaxsters actually filing a false police report. Which is a serious crime.

The number of these cases subsequently prosecuted and punished with a sentence appropriate to the gravity of the offense, once proven to be bunkum? Asymptotically approaching zero.

Gosh, it's almost as though if bad behavior isn't firmly disincentivized, then bad behavior will continue. But we all know that can't possibly be the case.

118 The gaudy RV heads towards Cleveland, leaving the Republican Death Lands behind and entering the wind-swept alkali-plains of Dayton.
"Place looks as cursed as the back side of the moon," Trump mutters, the Golden Scalp Weasel chittering its agreement.

Trump calls a halt as a line of warriors form up across the highway.
"Halt, vile Trump Tyrant!" one shouts. "We are the Knights who say NeverTrump and it is our Holy Crusade to stop you."
Trump walks to the front of the RV and looks over the band, their battle line bedraggled and in disarray. "Kristol, your clowns couldn't stop me when I had to handle all of those candidates, what're you going to do now?"
"I am not a clown" Rick Wilson yells, I am a consultant and campaign strategist and have never been defenestrated by an English Monarch."
"You're just in it to save your phoney-baloney jobs, I didn't need you and I still won."
"You called me short!" squeaks another.
"Who said that?" Trump looks through a telescope. "Oh, it's little Mario."
"I am not little, I just have to finish my growth."
"You're over forty pee-wee - look Kristol, disband your Knights who say "I gotta pee" and get out of my way."
"Our leader is on speaker phone and he'll tell you what to do - General?"
A voice comes out of the phone "God-blast it all, Kristol! I told you I'm not interested! You lot of pussified pundits and politicos can take what's coming to you - you all aren't worth one Marine getting a hangnail! Now how did you get this number, you..."
Kristol hangs up "There's a little problem with cell reception...."
Trump sits back down in his throne and presses a button on the left armrest. Spikes grow from the spinner rims as a deadly sharp plow appears on the front of the RV.

The loudspeakers carry across the quaking ranks of the Knights of NeverTrump, the Donald saying "None of you will ever work for the RNC again," as the Golden Scalp Weasel begins to sing "Ride of the Valkyrie".

181 126-I absolutely agree. And often these brides force the in-laws to pony up money for the wedding, in addition to their "usual" monetary responsibilities. It's one thing if they have saved the money and pay for it themselves. It's quite another to force others to go into debt so that you can have "your special day."

But I guess that's the mindset of today's generation. I get what I want, and somebody else pays for it. Feel the Bern.

Again, friend of my wife's married this guy who might as well have had a tattoo on his forehead that said I AM TEH GAY. I didn't really know him, I just showed up to the wedding for the free booze. And when I saw him, I said to my wife (gf back then), wtf, this guy's gay. And she's all, oh no, he's just kind of effeminate, he's a really good guy, blah blah.

Later on in the evening after a few drinks, I started asking the other guests, like WTF, does nobody but me understand this fucking dude is gay? And the peeps I talked to were all "yeah well, maybe kinda, no he's not, really, blah blah".

Guess what happened about 2 years into the marriage?

I went to the wedding of two friends from college, and was sitting at a table with, among others, another friend who's gay, and some couple who were friends of the bride that I hadn't met before. The entire time the husband in the couple kept asking him about the gay life - when did he know he was gay, what kind of men he was into. At the end of the reception, he invited my friend over their house to "crash on the sofa." His wife literally dragged him away by his arm. That was the most awkward wedding experience I've ever had.

Went to one between two acquaintances who were, er, swingers. But they loved each other, you see, and committed to each other. During the ceremony everyone kept looking at each other trying to calculate the over/under of the marriage lasting. I think the smart money was on six months.

So yeah, the bride met another woman and hit it off so they had a hers/hers/his thing going for a bit (and calm down, morons, the two women in question would make a freight train take a dirt road....), until the two women started paying more attention to each other than him. Back in grad school a friend married a girl who was legendary for hard partying. She did not consider herself drunk if she could lay on the floor without holding on. At her wedding, she was sitting on another guy's lap when a boob popped out. That was kind of how she (and her friends) rolled.

411 You can't blame the liberals on these things...

If we conservatives would just act the way they picture us, they wouldn't have to fake anything.

We would be committing non-stop hate crimes while they stood up to us with courage and righteousness. People would look at them in admiration and sing the praises of their selflessness. It would be the way they've always pictured themselves.

Why we continue to try to fool people into thinking we're not Nazis is a constant source of aggravation to them.

Sure they are. Just because we don't like him or his principles and he isn't polite to us, Obama has won twice. And just because Republicans haven't won the White House in Obama's 2 terms, that's all it's been, 2 terms. They had it for the 2 terms before him.

And during Obama's reign of terror Republican have been winning in Congress and at the state level in record numbers.

A century ago, people valued gold and would go as far the Yukon to get it.

Today we value Glamorous Victim Status and will go even farther to have it.

It's crazy how people will stab, punch, bruise, assault, shave, graffiti, smear feces, rip clothes and e-mail themselves threats and blackmail just to obtain it.

But the payoffs can be huge: fame, fortune, celebrity, scholarships, endowed chairs, tenure, Pulitzers, instant steet cred, magazine covers, grants, federal laws bearing your name, famous peole fawning over you, the moral high ground, the ability to discredit, silence or even jail your opponents--and that's just a partial list.

When you think about that way, you'd be kinda' crazy NOT to.
