Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | How A Spy Would Transfer Intelligence from the Secure to Non-Secure Networks to More Easily Allow Foreign AccessKurt Schlichter speaks of a "minion" doing this, but let's just say a spy. Who else deliberately exposes the most sensitive information to foreign intelligence? Meanwhile, video has surfaced of a State aide bragging about all this "sharing of information" in real time, via email -- and a look-see at the stuff being sent at the time suggests it was classified information, all being sent, illegally, to Hillary Clinton's unsecure private (easily hackable) system.n the video, veteran diplomat Wendy Sherman reveals that in the interest of speed, Clinton and her aides would share information that "would never be on an unclassified system" normally. The questions surround a 2013 speech in which Sherman compared the technology differences between serving at the State Department in the administrations of President Bill Clinton and President Obama. "Now we have BlackBerrys, and it has changed the way diplomacy is done," Sherman, who was undersecretary of state at the time, said in the 2013 on-camera remarks. "Things appear on your BlackBerrys that would never be on an unclassified system. But you're out traveling, you're trying to negotiate something. You want to communicate with people, it's the fastest way to do it." ... Previous email releases by the State Department of Clinton's official correspondence show that in September 2011, Clinton aide Jake Sullivan forwarded her an email chain on the Quartet statement. The State Department considered the correspondence sensitive enough that the department deemed some of those emails to now be classified, and officials redacted details before the emails were released to the public. We had a "secure" computer system at the place I used to work at. It was in a locked room. The hard drive was removable and it was kept in a locked fire resistant cabinet. Someone had to give you access to both items to even look at this information. The computer was not connected to anything and it did not have floppy drives or USB port so it was not possible to copy anything.
All you could do is read the material. Now that would not prevent a person from leaving the room and, working from memory, write a new e-mail to somebody with info from the classified system. And you have to remember how the Clintons parse their statements. Scankles maintains that she never received or sent any document that had a classified stamp on it. This is probably true, it just had classified info in it. The FBI has found several top secret items and thousands of other lesser classified documents. Furthermore she knew they were classified but you will never get her to admit this. She will walk on this as the current DOJ may not like Scankles but they are not going to prosecute a Democrat period. I suspect that the government classified systems were probably similar to what ours was set up as. Posted by: Vic-we have no party at January 26, 2016 12:47 PM (t2KH5) 40

Hmmm.
I'm working on a new thought that this disdain for the rules on classification and segregation of classified material is of a piece with if Congress won't act, I have a pen and a phone. How is that? Because in both instances, there is outright disdain, to say nothing of loathing, for the concept that structures are in place specifically to make it harder to accomplish that which is desired. Why are classified documents kept on a secure server and kept physically separate? In order to make it more difficult to access them. Yes, it is far easier to just pdf that and send a file via instant messenger, but the system is designed to make it difficult so as to require thought before taking an action. This is sensitive information that is difficult to access. Mayhap I should not send it to someone's Blackberry. Same thing with legislation. Yes, it's slow and difficult to pass legislation. That's a feature, not a bug. No, you the Executive don't get to do what you want when the Legislative branch says no. The point of the system is to keep governance from turning into oligarchical rule. Presume Delegation Doctrine rant here. It's all of the same mindset. As an added bonus, I've enrolled in Amazon's service (can't remember the name, I'll look it up later) where you can purchase the paperback and then (once the Kindle version is available) purchase the Kindle version for 99 cents. "Republican conspiracy."
Interested observers will note that Canquelles in one interview said simultaneously that she hadn't handled any messages with classified status through her insecure server, and also that she "couldn't control what Republicans are leaking". As for why anyone would "leak" a nonclassified document, well, perhaps that makes some sort of sense inside of Clintonworld. VAST. RIGHT. WING. CONSPIRACY. This particular story might not mean much - there are SECRET-level Blackberrys.
Posted by: nnevets at January 26, 2016 01:16 PM (3hEZa) yes except for her admission "on an unclassified system" that means it wasnt on those blackberrys that are on a classified system. I think the USB drive thing is a bit hard to picture. USB drives are damn easy to deactivate. Hot glue the port, then go into the BIOS and deactivate it there for good measure. If you're really ambitious you could desolder the USB ports from the motherboard.
Posted by: bonhomme Not necessarily USB. my point about the monitor is that some have mem card ports, printer ports, cable card slots, etc, ad infinitum. It won't need a single USB port because it's routed through the monitor's connection. You can even put a usb adapter into the old PS2 keyboard slots, though I'm not exactly sure of the methods to make it capable of receiving data. The proliferation of connectable peripherals is still something that experienced IT guys miss. Posted by: weft cut-loop at January 26, 2016 01:22 PM (W0RfD) 201
Boy wonder, Jon Favreau, who started writing speeches for Obama at age 21 or something and is famous for a picture of his drinking a beer while he cups the breast on a cutout of Hillary, left fiction writing for Obama to do fiction writing in Hollywood, so the fact that the two different men have the same name could be kind of confusing.

As for the slack IT, we are ignoring the ugly 800 pound 68 year old blonde gorilla in the room:
They were doing what Hillary told them to do. They were specifically circumventing all the safeguards because she ordered them to do so. It doesn't matter how strict your IT department may or may not be, when the CEO says to do something or it's off with your head. She is no different than Madoff or the Enron Boyz in that she deliberately ordered malfeasance and fraud. Nobody is ever prepared for a hot war.Not truly prepared,no matter what they think.Posted by: steevy at January 26, 2016 01:17 PM (8HTq1)
That's a blanket statement with little meaning clarity, or truth. Yes, it is possible to prepare for war, to even 'truly' prepare for war. Nation-states, tribes, clans and packs have been doing it since before the invention of the rock as a weapon. It's the ones who aren't prepared, truly or otherwise, that end up in the killing fields or the slave market. Posted by: troyriser at January 26, 2016 01:28 PM (UWlp+) 206
>> Not necessarily USB. my point about the monitor is that
>> some have mem card ports, printer ports, cable card slots, >> etc, ad infinitum. It won't need a single USB port because >> it's routed through the monitor's connection. Virtually all commodity keyboards these days are USB, you can readily plug in a hub between the keyboard and the computer or just swap the keyboard for one with more ports or built-in media slots. Virtually nothing has traditional serial or parallel ports these days, but USB, SD slots, Bluetooth, and most forms of wired or wireless networking is trivially easy to use if you've got access to it from a software/driver standpoint, and stuff like eSATA, HDMI, DisplayPort etc. just takes more work. It is easy to confuse being prepared for war with being prepared for the coming war. It can be argued that the first war that the US was really prepared for was Gulf War I.

The witching hour is close. This bitch is essentially bragging about getting around laws. If Obama continues to ignore this by not letting Loretta do her job (which she loathes to do), we officially have no credible legal system.
If this happens, it proves a law abiding nation no longer exists. Anyone who draws a paycheck from the Federal Government will be known in the future by a new name: "target". Posted by: zdawg at January 26, 2016 03:51 PM (UsCnO) 219

Meanwhile, video has surfaced of a State aide bragging about all this "sharing of information" in real time, via email -- and a look-see at the stuff being sent at the time suggests it was classified information, all being sent, illegally, to Hillary Clinton's unsecure private (easily hackable) system.
I had nothing to do with a video, but there was a demonstration. Posted by: #TheCriminalHillaryClinton at January 26, 2016 06:08 PM (e8kgV) 221
"Of course, that risks simply handing Trump the nomination."
How is that a risk? The guy who say you can't be mean to McConnell, you've got to go along to get along and hope for votes later if you cozy up to the "leader" now... He's a bad call for the establishment mindset? Why? If he's going to be cozy with McConnell to "hopefully get votes later" then why would the establishment mind having him as President? They want someone who will give them the liberal cheeseburger now with promise to pay next Tuesday. And that master of the deal is Trump.
