CNN Dummies Shocked That Some People Think That Obama Wants to Take Your Guns Away

Let me explain to these dummies.

Obama has, on four occasions, praised the Australian model as the "sensible gun safety" model we should follow.

The Australian model was almost full, coerced confiscation.

Now see if you can follow this reasoning, CNN Dummies:

If every time you got into a fight with your spouse, your spouse said "Boy, we should try what Bob and Edith do in their marriage, they don't have fights and they both seem happy," and you know Bob and Edith have an open marriage and go to a suburban sex club out by the access road behind the Cracker Barrel, would you be paranoid for thinking your spouse might be interested in some swinging?

What he fails to realize (and what every Moron knows) is that the only people he'll injure are law-abiding gun owners. Mass killers, street thugs and terrorists -- collectively known as his BFFs -- will go on having an easy time of getting all the guns they want.

Of course, with a gutless Congress that avidly sucks up to the Mocha Messiah and impeachment remaining Off the Table, what could stop him?

I despise the treasonous, America-hating, racist fuckweasel, but have to admit he knows how to play the game.

You know, Newtown, Charleston, etc.

Yet, the bodies pile up in Chicago and the like at a rate 100X beyond that, and he doesn't even mention them. Ongoing criminality he yawns about, but a white person goes nutzoid and it's a crisis, even though those killings are a drop in the bucket.

So he whips up that hysteria to push for laws that would achieve what he's always wanted, but wouldn't prevent any of the incidents he waves the bloody shirt over. Or address any of the inner city/illegal/minority/gang related violence that racks up, by far, the majority of the casualties.

58 As I said somewhere else only minutes ago on another topic, the MFM believes that the most responsible way to report the news is to lie gigantically about almost everything.

Thus we have "fact checkers" lying about the law, reporters lying about the law and statistics, propagandists everywhere spreading BS with the aid of the press who for whom "fact checking" only occurs when an idea challenges them, and even then it needs the scare quotes because it doesn't actually necessarily involve facts or checking.

Just as they know that X piece of incremental pro-life legislation is just one step on the road to much more significant abortion restrictions, we know that Y piece of incremental gun control legislation is just one step on the road to much more significant gun control. Just as plenty of those of us who are pro-life are honest about what our endgame is, enough Leftists are honest about the gun control endgame (though many of them lie, lie, and lie) that we know what it is, and won't give an inch if we can help it.

Instead, like the CNN interview I watched a bit ago with the GOP whip, once again, the GOP comes off sounding like idiots.

Instead of pointing out the fallacy of the CNN guy's premise(why wouldn't you want background checks on people buying guns online or at gun shows) , he just kept parroting that Obama should be paying attention to ISIS. He did explain that Obama's new edicts simply will make it prohibitive to sell or give your gun to a "kid"(he then quickly said, family) if you are required to register with the gov. as a FFL dealer.

Why not point out that the EA is so ambiguous, that it can be used to harass and possibly criminalize grandparents etc. Or someone who wants to sell three guns out of a collection.

These guys drive me nuts.

Apparently barrels of crackers was a thing.

Here's what it says:

"Dear Editor:

I have occasionally seen the term "cracker-barrel'' applied as an adjective meaning "folksy.'' Why is this? Does it have something to do with an actual barrel of crackers?

- S.S., Union City, N.J.

Dear S.S.:

In the days before pre-packaged food and huge supermarkets, a trip to the nearest store was more than just an errand; it was also a chance to socialize and keep up with goings-on. The country store of yesteryear was the focal point of many rural communities, and the heart of the country store was the cracker barrel. Literally a barrel containing crackers, the cracker barrel was the spot where folks would gather to chat about weather and politics, or to swap stories, jokes, and gossip.

Today, cracker barrels are largely a thing of the past, but the flavor of those friendly exchanges lives on in the adjective "cracker-barrel,'' which means "suggestive of the friendly homespun character of a country store.'' "

For real -- or suburban legend?

The urban whites who call for it aren't afraid of the Budys or hunters or range shooters.

They're afraid of young black men with guns.

Now they hate working-class whites, especially those who advocate for guns, so that works for them. But what they fear is the "urban market."

301 CNN Dummies Shocked That Some People Think That Obama Wants to Take Your Guns Away
—Ace
-----------------

Yeah, they are always 'shocked'. IF they would acknowledge it, they would be 'shocked' to learn that Obama intentionally lied about premium, deductible costs rising under Obamacare.

They would be 'shocked' to lean that the 'Stimulus' failed miserably, that Cash for Clunkers turned upside down, and etc., and etc.

They are surprised, no doubt that Iran is aggressively in violation of Obama's deal. Hell the list is endless.

My favorite individual example of denial and complete absence of cause/effect awareness remains Donna Brazile:

They note that "a few dairy cows were blanketed by snow" then in the next sentence: "35,000 cows died".

369 I don't think that there's any connection between Cracker Barrel brand cheese and the restaurant chain.

Ditto, Cracker Barrel Law Offices.

Local Gannett rag printed a story (front page!) which stated that Avian flu had "decimated almost ten percent of the chicken population.."

I wrote the author; "So, decimation of 10% amounts to 1%, right"? I also suggested that she look around the newspaper to see if there was anyone still around with proofreading/editing skills. Oddly, she didn't reply.

Judge: I'll allow it.

Yes, they used to ship crackers, and many, many other foods in barrels. Barrels were a huge business, back in the day. And many a general store had a cracker barrel nearby the old pot-belly stove, and folks would sit on chairs by the cracker barrel, and shoot the shit.

400 I believe we are going to need a website that lists doctors who have sent word to the federal government to take away people's rights to own guns.

If half the doctors out there are anti-gun, and they already under Obamacare expected to ask their patients if there are guns in the home, then it doesn't take much of a push to have them declare anyone they see as unable to get a gun.

If a million people are disallowed all at once, really, how many years would it take to get your hearing to get that right back?

402 Sorry, Ace, but this:

"The Australian model was almost full, coerced confiscation."

Is not true. Guns are still legal in Australia. Gun ownership is higher now than before the laws were changed.

The compulsory buy-back mostly involved semi-automatic rifles and pump-action shotguns, which are now restricted to people with an occupational need (farmers, commercial hunters).

I don't support these laws, but it's important to always remember that if Obama says it, it's not true.
