New Emails Suggest Pentagon Had Troops At the Ready to Send to Benghazi -- Despite, Get This, Hillary's and Obama's (and the Media's) Claims to the Contrary

Well knock me over with yet another national security lie.

Jeremy Bash, then the Defense Department's chief of staff, wrote in an email to top aides to Hillary Clinton the night of Sept. 11, 2012 that Gen. Martin Dempsey and the Joint Chiefs of Staff had "identified the forces that could move to Benghazi."
"They are spinning as we speak," Bash wrote within hours of the start of the attack.

I assume that means "ready to go," as in "helicopter blades are spinning."

While parts of the email were redacted, the message indicates the Pentagon was waiting for approval from the State Department to send the forces in. That help never arrived for the Americans under siege at the Benghazi compound.

The newly disclosed email chain casts doubt on previous testimony from high-level officials, several of whom suggested there was never any kind of military unit that could have been in a position to mount a rescue mission during the hours-long attack on Benghazi.

Also, I don't think this is a big deal, because it's all "looking into the possibility that she might have been an operative" -- um, duh, of course they're looking into that possibility -- but, for what it's worth, investigators are looking into the possibility that Tashfeen Malik might have been an operative.

52 I've read elsewhere (some military blog, not this one) that because it was a US installation there are standing orders to come to their aid when called. That is a policy that has to be OVERRIDDEN BY ORDERS TO THE CONTRARY.

Military installations, Consulates and Embassies are covered by this policy, and there were men on ships and in Italy ready to go and got orders not to.

I find the sites I go to credible ( with a few known exceptions), and don't understand why that aspect hasn't made the news in two inch headline style.

3. There is a reason for the no-go decision that someone felt was more important to hide than four American lives were worth to them. My presumption is that the reason was to cover up the fact that the Administration was not only running guns to the Mexican cartels, but also to the bad guys in Libya and elsewhere in the Middle East as part of the disaster we call "Arab Spring" that ultimately lit the whole region on fire (Hello, Iran-Contra!).

They had no idea how long the attacks were gonna last. They had no way to be certain if the security teams there could hold out for 24 minutes, or 24 hours. They were just fine with abandoning them NO MATTER WHAT.

Well, I've read up on Sharia law over the years out of curiosity, and people who follow it closely tend to follow it closely. Like ISIS. They seem absurd with some of their laws, but it's as written in the Koran.

If this woman married the son, her father in law could see her without her face covered. And I would think that would have happened, no? Or did they never eat dinner in the same house? Or did she eat dinner with the niqab on? I mean... The whole thing seems bizarre to me.

Well getting the loan is not THAT hard (believe it or not), but you have to have a reason, good credit, and a good job. I mean, you can get a "personal loan" for a car if it has, say, over 100,000 miles and the banks won't give you a car loan. But your interest rate is crazy, and usually the bank wants some proof of what you're doing with the money. (The guy was apparently in to old cars).

But yeah, its kind of bizarre.

Well even in the Senate Intel Commitee report buried in the footnotes --cripes I think it's footnote 13 --they talk about in a CIA email from one CIA to another they talked of a stand down order, but in the after action report written by the very same guy who would be responsible for conveying the stand down order--he reports that there was not a stand down order. Yeah. You can upload a pic of yourself and "try on" the frames on your face.

Personally, I don't wear my glasses all the time and I don't care if they're not designer frames. As long as they look OK and help me see I'm happy.

I also tend to lose / break glasses pretty regularly.

A wonderful thing about your marrying a preacher/ minister is that whoever performs the ceremony will be delighted that you both know what Christian marriage is, and that Christ is a an integral part of it-the third person in a marriage as it were. Celiac disease was first diagnosed over 2000 years ago.

But, as you noticed, people are kind of slow on the uptake.

For most of that time doctors just assumed it was rare and never tested for it. As they start testing, they find more and more people.

A lot of "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" sufferers have some variant of Celiac and don't know it. After all, that's not a disease it's literally just a symptom.

WRT peanut allergies, before they tested regularly, these kids were just crib deaths. Now people are more likely to know. It's not that the allergy is so much more common, the kids just survive it.

Might be but I think that kids are just weaker, these days. Either from fertility treatments to have them or from the fact that helicopter parents won't let their kids interact with the world enough to develop normally to kids just getting a message that being sickly is cool.

My granddad died from internal bleeding in the bowels they couldn't control. They never bothered to test him, Hell, at the time I'd never even heard of the disease.

368 As a old Air Force mechanic crew man at the two bases I was stationed at there was always a couple of aircraft at the ready. But that was a long time ago so who knows how it works today.
But I've never had doubt some aircraft if not a response team couldn't have got there in time.

There was nothing novel about any of those things. Maybe you took exception to the last one, that kids are taught that it's cool? That is no different than hysterical paralysis, which only affected girls when it was the fashion to be so affected. Nowadays, instead of hysteria the same girls become anorexic or bulimic.

Anyway, my hypotheses were not so outlandish. People are very much weaker, these days. The threshold for pain is very much lower. The percentage of people who are accepted as "disabled" is through the roof (even if lots of them are just doing it for parking spaces).
