Obama: Putin's So, So Weak
Putin: I Wouldn't Say Obama is Weak At All

You understand the dynamic here, right? The weakling who's getting pummeled has to puff himself up and insist that the bully that's beating the shit out of him is really the weak one, while he himself is the strong one.

Meanwhile, the bully, who is getting everything he wants from the weakling, wishes to assuage the weakling and tell him to keep on doing what he's doing. After all, if the Weakling is rolling over for you, you don't want to say anything that could inspire any manly resistance which might, possibly, be buried under thick fatty layers of cowardice and passivity.

Steve Krofft got an earful of the Weakling's upside-down view of the universe, and, as Allahpundit says, "Kroft can hardly believe he’s hearing."

Steve Kroft: A year ago when we did this interview, there was some saber-rattling between the United States and Russia on the Ukrainian border. Now it's also going on in Syria. You said a year ago that the United States-- America leads. We’re the indispensable nation. Mr. Putin seems to be challenging that leadership.

President Barack Obama: In what way? Let-- let's think about this-- let-- let--

Steve Kroft: Well, he's moved troops into Syria, for one. He's got people on the ground. Two, the Russians are conducting military operations in the Middle East for the first time since World War II.

President Barack Obama: So that's-- so that's--

Steve Kroft: bombing the people-- that we are supporting.

President Barack Obama: So that's leading, Steve? Let me ask you this question. When I came into office-- Ukraine was governed by a corrupt ruler who was a stooge of Mr. Putin.

Steve Kroft: Right, right, right.

President Barack Obama: Syria was Russia’s only ally in the region. And today, rather than being able to count on their support and maintain the base they had in Syria, which they’ve had for a long time. Mr. Putin now is devoting- his own troops, his own military, just to barely hold together by a thread his sole ally. And in Ukraine--

Steve Kroft: He's challenging your leadership, Mr. President. He
s challenging your leadership--

President Barack Obama: Well-- Steve, I got to tell you, if you think that running your economy into the ground and having to send troops in, in order to prop up your only ally is leadership, then we’ve got a different definition of leadership.

Video of the link above. Worth watching to see the Weakling sputter about how manly he is.

A couple of weeks ago, Charlie Rose interviewed Vladimir Putin. Peggy Noonan digests it:

Asked what he thinks of President Obama, he deflected--coolly. "I don't think I'm entitled to give any views regarding the president of the United States... Our relations are businesslike. I believe that’s quite sufficient to comply with our functions."

Do Mr. Obama’s foreign policy actions "reflect a weakness"?

"I don't think so at all," said Mr. Putin. "I don't think that’s the case and I don’t intend to get involved in a domestic American skirmish."

One got the impression he wished it understood that he doesn’t outfox weaklings, he only beats champs.

The guy who's winning the fight doesn't have to keep whining that he's winning the fight. You can tell from the blood on his knuckles and the blood on the Weakling's face.

It's simply extraordinary how America has collapsed as any kind of plausible actor on the world stage, and how little remarked upon this is in America. Both our allies and enemies see that America has chosen to curl up in the fetal position and wait for death to take us.

It will, of course, get worse. The damage wrought by Obama will haunt America for a century. Even if a President seeks to undo his shameful legacy, our would-be allies will always know America could elect another Weakling at any moment, and they will factor that into their calculations as to who to align with.

Oh, Putin did take this dig at Obama, which he pretended was not a dig, just simple statement of fact. Actually, he's right; this is just a simple statement of fact:

[Putin said,] "I want you and your audience to finally realize that no one except for the Assad army is fighting ISIS and other terrorist groups now in Syria." U.S. efforts have been wanting: "It has to be said frankly this is a very low level of effectiveness. I'm not trying to be sarcastic here. I'm not trying to call someone out or to point fingers."

See, Putin is weak because he commands effective military action that has real impact in geopolitical terms; Obama, on the other hand, is strong, because he snipes at and bitch-talks other people.

Oh: And the actual big news from the first link is that Putin is bombing the hell out of the Free Syrian Army positions, thus freeing up Aleppo to be swarmed and captured... by ISIS.

You know, the guys Obama thinks Putin is bombing.

6 Don't include me in that America. That's Obama's America.

I know right now he's the one leading the retreat but we're only along for the ride because of how our government works.

And for now he has the power to do what he's doing and when he no longer has the power then we'll have someone else to represent us. Hopefully more accurately and more positively.

The reason it's being ignored is because there's not much we can do about it that we haven't already done and the others are either afraid or all for what he's doing.

That will change. We can recover from this.

She talks about what the establishment might do to take Trump out if it comes down to him v Jabe! Or Rubio, hinting that oppo research won't work. Since she's so embedded within the establishment, i read that as, she knows this is the plan, and is issuing a warning not to do this, but maybe that's too deep. 49 The new season of Homeland is becoming more like a documentary. Rush talked about the season opener today.

A CIA agent that has been in "the shit" for two years is briefing the CIA and Pentagon bigwigs on how things are going.

He is asked by one at the table "How is our strategy going?", the agent replies "What strategy?". The agent then goes on to talk about how ISIS has a strategy and have had one since the 7th century. A world without infidels by any means necessary.

68 The shift happened back in Libya when there was bipartisan support to start a war we wouldn't win.

Our basis as a world power has been our superior population, our industrial output, our superior technology, and our atomic firepower.

In 1945 we put 9% of our population, 50% of our industry into the war effort, and destroyed whole cities until our enemies surrendered.

Where are we today? We will not smash cities. We will not create a military large enough to dominate Afghanistan. We will not preserve let alone harness our industrial base.

Obama's bad but he's not the cause of an American military strategy that made victory unlikely.

Now what good are our promises anywhere? Anybody stronger than the Taliban will bog us down, we swear.

Democrats used to complain that Bush made us hated. They're making us useless. And worse than useless, because to host Americans invites terrorism.

And there isn't political momentum to stop them. It was Republicans who wanted to dial down the War on Terror.

There is just no question of going back to 1945, and that means that the political system erected in 1945 is doomed. Nothing more will be done to stop it except to blame the other guy. Our own failings will be defended as being "reasonable" and "realistic".

__________________________

The MSM won't remark on it because then they'd have to explain to the LIV's that it's all the fault of their precious chocolate god; the same lightworker who promised to "restore America's standing in the world" has instead destroyed it, and made the world a far more dangerous place in the process, for generations to come.

It's like that Czech guy (supposedly) said in 2008: America could probably survive having a dangerous fool like Barack Obama as her president, but it's very unlikely that she can survive having tens of millions of ignorant and stupid voters who would willingly choose such a dangerous fool as their leader.

Whenever I went through there I used to stop on the ramp and remember my visits to the farm, and look around the area to realize that everything I could see from the ramp to the horizon was the family farm.

I love this because it's similar, yet different to what we see in the media.

Minorities are treated with kid gloves, because white liberals in the media feel a guilt-ridden, chivalrous, possibly racist duty to do so.

But some of them, the losers, like BLM do not perceive that it's chivalry and think they really are aggrieved, or superior, or cooler in some way, since they can jump or whatever, and Caucasians can't.

Putin is doing the same thing, flattering the vanity of the idiot Obama, but in order to dupe him. And Obama's brain is so marinated in PC grievance politics that he is probably incapable of perceiving it.

151 I am re-reading an excellent novel by George Eliot called "Daniel Deronda", and for those people who insist there are no great women novelists, I beg to differ. She was one of them and men play a central part in a number of her books.

At any rate, for those unfamiliar with this novel the antagonst is Henleigh Grandcourt, a self involved selfish, emotionally sadistic man who has a sneering, cold contempt for those he considers below his touch, and his contempt can come for any numbers of reasons-people are not attractive enough, they aren't wealthy enough, they come from the wrong social class or they simply annoy him and refuse to buckle immediately to his wishes. The editor for the novel-Graham Handley-refers to Grandcourt's "weighted projection of the oppressive power of silence." If he knows people want him to do something he sometimes refuses to do so because he wants to annoy them. However, he dislikes confrontation. He puts decision from him until he is forced to take it. He thinks he is in charge but he isn't. He has "an indolent casualness" and an "inherent ennui" which find him unequal to ordinary human demands."

Having read this novel many times, I have been recently struck by how much Grandcourt reminds me of Obama.

Sorry for the literary reference but it did seem to fit the topic,

Actually while oil and gas account for about half of Russia's tax revenue, they are only about 20% of GDP.

And Russia is not a third world country. Even going by exchange rates, it's now a middle-income country with the world's 10th largest GDP (when Putin look over in 2000, it had the world's 23rd largest GDP, smaller than Switzerland). And adjusted for purchasing power parity, Russia's GDP just passed Germany and is now the world's 5th largest.

Putin didn't bully anyone around with respect to Iran, either. Barky went out and gave aid and comfort to an American enemy all on his own. Even back in the beginning of this Indonesian nightmare, Putin didn't really threaten anything as regards missile defense in Poland. Putin was just saying the same crap he'd been saying the whole time and Barky unilaterally decided to stab Poland in the back - just to show everyone what else was in store as the America-hating dog-eating retard had his way with the West.

I think Putin would like to be a bully ... but he just hasn't had to. Everything's been handed to him before he could even threaten to lift a finger.

I have AdBlock on my iPad & don't have any ads.

It's free if you're using an iPad or iPhone. I have a Mac laptop & have both AdBlock & Ghostery extensions added to Safari.

I know that there is free Windows version. I read about Ghostery years ago & how sites track you. I was looking for a new moisturizer or something & had NRO open in another window & when I went back to NRO there was an ad for the moisturizer I had just looked at.

260 Democrats were so mad that they couldn't convince everyone else that the US was a lawless, destructive giant stomping all over the playground indiscriminately, that they just had to go get elected and *make it true* through their policies to prove it!

It's sort of the "see what lengths you made me go to to prove to you that you're a monster" strategy.

And here we are in the heart of an at least arguably noble animal, beaten and starved until it's a mad beast.

Grandcourt can be charming when he wants to be, as I assume Obama can be. Grand court is also not stupid and he's well off.

Daniel Deronda converts to Judaism because he finds out his mother and father-whom he never knew growing up- were both Jewish (He finally meets his mother) and he grows to appreciate the depth of spirituality and commitment to faith, race and tradition and passion for a homeland that a dying Jewish man (Mordecai) has. This man is the brother of the Jewish woman he eventually marries. In appears his Christian faith has been entirely conventional so it's not really a surprise that he converts. George Eliot who always spent a lot of time doing research for her books read a lot of scholarly articles on Jewish history She was also good friends with a Talmudic scholar, Emanuel Deutsch, who also cherished the idea of a Jewish homeland.

268 "And he has used US Forces to bomb various countries Governments...
without either a declaration of war, UN Security council resolution...

Anyone else remember how Democrats in Congress reacted when they learned that Richard Nixon was using military forces in Laos and Cambodia without formal Congressional authorization?

They passed a law which SPECIFICALLY FORBADE any such actions.

No money was to be spent. Power of the purse, that obsolete 18th century concept. And, they made it stick. The Nixon White House had to go through absurd gymnastics to continue the war effort after that point.

What do today's congressional Republicans do in response to Obama waging war without authorization? They shrug, and pass another continuing resolution for the budget, and head out for a couple of martinis at a K Street watering hole.
