4 The President is coming to Roseburg, a city that used to be dependent on
its economy on forest product. When I was a kid it ran on the mills,
and they only shut down during hunting season and when the fire danger
was too high in the woods. It was a thriving community that sold lumber
to the world.

Now, Douglas county is an economic disaster. The
feds and the state have sewn the forests up tight, the mills are running
at a level barely above idle, there is no industry, there are few
taxes, the county Sheriff is down to only a few deputies (for an area a
bit smaller than Connecticut), and the only time there is a good influx
of money is when the wildland fire fighters come because the forests are
burning every summer from mis-management by the USDA/USFS and because
of lawsuits.

And everyone blames the president and his EPA and his USFS and his special friends in the ecological lawfare business.

I
don't think he realizes how unpopular he is there. I think his handlers
and media manipulators are going to have problems making his speak seem
to be yet a another sermon on the mount.

Has he personally gone
to a community that he has done so much damage to in the past? Usually
he goes while the federal money is still flowing so his victims are
still dependent on his beneficence.

The result is that the Texas senator may be the most undercovered serious candidate in the race -- and the most underestimated. But he shouldn't be dismissed. This is the man, after all, who, according to one of his allies, began meeting with Iowa activists to plot his path to victory in the state in August of 2013, just nine months after he was elected to the Senate. Is it possible that he'll sneak up on the Republican establishment again, just as he did in his 2012 Senate race?

HONOR KILLING: SYRIAN GANG RAPE SURVIVOR MURDERED IN GERMANY

The horrifying story of an "honor killing" in Germany spotlights the sheer madness of importing millions of unvetted, unassimilated migrants.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman known as "Rokstan M," is one refugee who had a strong case for asylum. She was gang-raped in Syria, emigrated to Germany two years ago, and found employment with the German government as a translator.

However, she strongly suspected her family wanted her dead for being "unclean," and her suspicions appear to have been confirmed, as the German police believe her father and brothers slaughtered her with knives and buried her body in a garden, allegedly at the instruction of her mother.

Once that's done, they'll Herman Cain Carson and they'll have their desired trio of Rubio, Jeb and Carly going into the primaries.

At that point so many of the states that are front loaded are proportional awarders of delegates and the new rules require a candidate to get the majority votes in 8 states to be brought up for nomination at the convention.

They've rigged the convention rules, they've rigged the primary vote rules (note some of the states changing their primary vote rules at the last minute) and if they can get Trump out of the way, they'll have Jeb all setup nice and fat and sassy for his coronation.

Portland takes 747's, but it is 200 miles away.

152 Feds Made $124.7B in Improper Payments in 2014; 'Almost $1 Trillion' Over 12 Years

(CNSNews.com) - The federal government made an estimated $124.7 billion in improper payments in fiscal 2014 and has made "almost $1 trillion" in improper payments over the past twelve years, U.S. Comptroller General Gene Dodaro, head of the Government Accountability Office, told the Senate Finance Committee last week.

"In fiscal year 2014, agencies reported improper payment estimates totaling $124.7 billion, a significant increase--almost $19 billion--from the prior year's estimate of $105.8 billion," Dodaro told the committee in written testimony.

"The almost $19 billion increase was primarily due to the Medicare, Medicaid, and Earned Income Tax Credit programs, which account for over 75 percent of the government-wide improper payment estimate," he said.

179 Side note on Harry Reid:

Take Google Maps/Earth to Searchlight, Nevada. Find the Harry Reid
Elementary School (problematic!) on the eastern edge of town. Note that
from there, Harry Reid Avenue leads south through an area of vacant
lots, ending at Easy Street...which in turn goes a short ways west
to...the town cemetery.

Coincidence? Allegedly!!

181 @132. And DDT. Mosquitoes carry all kinds of humanity's most deadly illnesses. And DDT kills mosquitoes dead. Yet the government bans DDT, not because of science, but because of a book. This kind of irresponsibility should never be tolerated. Needless suffering and death. If most of the victims were white maybe the idiots in D.C. would listen.

MUST LISTEN: Mark Levin on the BLATANT anti-Semitism of Obama, Kerry over Afghan hospital bombing

This is amazing. Mark Levin plays audio from AP reporter Matt Lee who masterfully exposes the blatant hypocrisy of the State Department (Obama and Kerry) over this accidental Afghan hospital bombing by American forces. Levin weighs in on the comparison Lee makes between the hospital bombing and the State Department's heavily critical response to Israel when they bombed near a UNRWA school in Gaza that killed ten people during the Israel/Hamas war in August of 2014.

Levin called Matt Lee a real old school reporter and says his work shows just how anti-Semitic the Obama administration really is over this double standard.

As you see I labeled this a must listen. That's because it's that awesome.

True Searchlight fact: for Halloween, the town chains mannikins of nude and blindfolded young boys to the streetlight poles along Harry Reid Avenue. "Our tribute to our local hero," they say.

A presidential quiz. You put in yes/no/etc answers regarding issues and it spits out a lot of interesting weighted results, including where you fall on the spectrum, which party you most identify with, what themes your politics are, how you match up with your region.

I'm apparently a right-wing libertarian who matches maybe 19% of anybody near me, ought to be part of the constitution party [which I've never heard of] and 93% support Ted Cruz, who I will never vote for in any case, becoz GOP and they need to die.

Is it possible the block is on your side of the link?

Your IP provider, firewall, browser?

Posted by: Bitter Clinger and All That

The block exists across all of my devices when I'm riding on my wireless IP, two tablets, 2 desktops, a laptop and my phone.

I can roll to any other available IP and post.

You may be on to something though and I'll look when I get home. If it's the router I'll be damned as to how it got set.

The beginning of the high plains, the western edge of stone post country, looks like cattle and crude are most of the economy. Way south of here is the town of Holcomb, wheat country, where Truman Capote sourced "In Cold Blood."
