Top Secret Emails Found In Private Accounts Run Through Hillary's Private Servers
As pressure builds on Hillary Clinton to explain her official use of personal email while serving as secretary of state, she faced new complications Tuesday. It was disclosed her top aides are being drawn into a burgeoning federal inquiry and that two emails on her private account have been classified as “Top Secret.” The inspector general for the Intelligence Community notified senior members of Congress that two of four classified emails discovered on the server Clinton maintained at her New York home contained material deemed to be in one of the highest security classifications -- more sensitive than previously known.UPDATE: AP: FBI "TAKES POSSESSION" OF HILLARY'S SERVER, LAWYER'S THUMB DRIVE: The media's silence on this will be spectacular.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A U.S. official says the FBI has taken possession of Hillary Rodham Clinton's emails, a few of which have been deemed to contain classified information. The official is not authorized to be quoted by name and requested anonymity.That is indeed one of the highest level of classification. I think the only higher levels are levels of classification you're not even permitted to know the names of. This compartmentalized information is what is called Codeword Clearance, I think: You have to be cleared by a special codeword to see the information. That is, it's not just top secret; it's like top secret/GOLDEN TEMPLE, with "GOLDEN TEMPLE" being the codeword of the compartment of information. You don't just need a Top Secret clearance to see it -- you have to be cleared specifically for GOLDEN TEMPLE information. So this is either the highest level of classified information, or the highest we know about. (Daniel Moynihan spoke of there being a higher level he couldn't even mention in a 60 Minutes interview.) Update: KG, who sounds like he knows what he's talking about, writes:
The official says the FBI recovered two thumb drives containing the emails from Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall. Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley says two of the emails, which traversed Clinton's insecure home email server, were deemed "Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information." That’s one of the government's highest classifications.
Compartmentalized means you have to be 'read in' to that particular information.. you sit in a SCIF [I believe this is a room where you can read the secret information, but are not permitted to take notes or remove it; this is the "skiff" you hear about Congressmen reading the TPP info in--ace] of some kind, someone who is cleared to handle the information hands it to you, you read through it and then sign some paper work. You then are 'cleared' to read material with that particular code word. So, in other words, just because you have a TOP SECRET clearance does not mean you have access to any and all TOP SECRET classified material. Most TOP SECRET material has one or several code words attached to it. That way, only the people with 'need-to-know' have access and it limits the vulnerability of the information. Hillary better be prosecuted for this. If she isn't, it is maddening and, personally, I think the whole system collapses. How could you prosecute someone else for a lesser offense after letting Hillary go. She is in deep doo-doo and must've believed herself untouchable due to her 'Clinton' name. This is jail-worthy stuff.Update: The articles confused me speaking of both "Hillary's server" and a "private email account." I wrote the emails were in Hillary's private emails. AllahPundit suggests otherwise: he says that the emails were on her servers, in private emails used by her aids and such, and thus, in a way, "her accounts," but not actually her accounts. Like one of her henchmen's accounts. I will go with Allah's more cautious reading for now. I have corrected the headline and article to reflect this nuance. More:

A Denver company called Platte River Networks was handling the email of the secretary of state of the U.S., but it wasn't a government account. It was a private account and it's raising questions about security.
Last week FBI agents visited Platte River Networks which was involved in handling the Clinton email accounts. Sources related to that visit told CBS4 Investigator Rick Sallinger the company has been asked to preserve any information related to the emails involving Bill and Hillary Clinton.
It's almost like they're taking this investigation seriously or something...

THere's no other explanation of why the White House has allowed an actual federal investigation of Hillary to proceed.
There are only two scenarios where a highly placed political agent can be investigated for corruption or illegal behavior:
1. The society and the government of that society are completely unbiased, law-abiding and upstanding morally.
2. The government, corrupt as governments always are, is targeting an opponent.
Since we know for absolute sure that Option 1 is off the table, it must only be Option 2.
Which means that Hillary is now on Obama's Enemies List.
And if there's one enemies list worse to be on than Hillary's own enemies list, it's Obama's.

That's the only way I can reconcile all these media reports. I would think it would be Hillary's responsibility to classify the documents she is transmitting, but I can see that Obama wouldn't want Hillary to know the information was sensitive.
What does the 'intelligence community' do when the President of the United States wants to see something the spooks all know the president can't be trusted with? I've wondered about that since Bill Clinton was President.

My thought was that some lacky at State sent her an email with information that they read on the classified side and regurgitated without thinking. It happens on occasion. One of the reasons that you don't do official business on anything but government email servers is so spillage like this is easier to clean up.

One advantage Obama had v. Hillary that year was that he had gone from nobody in particular to Presidential contender faster than in history.

I don't know the particulars, but I figure that one flavor could mean "attack on the kingside", another could mean "attack on the queenside", and another could mean "you don't have a good position; play for a draw". Stuff like that.

Interestingly enough (and you might find this true for yourself, the page loads in the same amount of time (or so) so other than an annoying ad or maybe one that has a glitch, you aren't saving any time loading the site.
Ad blocking is becoming a real problem for a lot of sites and that means that eventually something will happen as folks can't keep dishing out content and paying for the servers without something giving way somewhere.

The first one can be released to anyone who holds a SECRET clearance (or higher) or it's foreign equivalent (or higher) among our allies, who also has a "need to know" that information. ("Need to know" is a general principle at ALL levels, from Confidential on up.)
The second one cannot be viewed by any foreign national no matter their clearance level. It is also possible for a document to be classified as SECRET NOFORN / TOP SECRET, meaning that a foreign national holding a TOP SECRET has access where a foreigner with a SECRET does not.
Finally, there's usually a backlog of uncompleted clearance investigations. At various points after 9/11, it reached as long as two years. It is therefore possible for an "interim" clearance to be granted, particularly at lower levels, by someone at various levels managing a given program. However, "need to know" always governs, and if a manager gives an interim clearance to someone later determined (usually after they screw up) to have no need to know, the manager suffers the penalty.
