Update: Western Media Begins Censoring Charlie Cartoons In Reports; Video of Attack

UK's Telegraph is now censoring images of the non-prophet in reportage of this story. This is their way of insulting the murdered journalists, and paying tribute to their religious-cultist killers.

At Long War Journal, video of the attackers shooting up the street and (Content Warning) executing a cop.

The attackers got into that car and then fled, abandoning the car later in the Rue de Meaux, which is up in Paris' northeast corner. I don't know Paris very well but I know there are Muslim neighborhoods basically nearby there, and then, going out further to the northeast, are the various "zones sensibles," the bad banlieus you see a lot of unrest and arsons in, out to the north and east, in Clichy, Saint Dennis, etc.

It's wonderful that we have Christiana Amanapour to explain things to us. On CNN, she has declared Charlie's cartoons to be "provocative" and "insulting to Islam."

(Incidentally, "Hebdo" is a contraction of hebdomadaire, which just means "weekly." So "Hebdo" is not the most important part of the magazine's title; in English, you'd say "Charlie Weekly." But you wouldn't just call it "Weekly" when you were shorthanding it; you'd say "Charlie.")

And This Begins, Too:

Yes, those are the first people my thoughts go to. Certainly not those murdered, nor the shattered families and orphaned children left behind.

13 Self-censorship has always been the goal.

It's like speed traps. You'll drive closer to the speed limit if you know (or fear) there may be a speed trap nearby. The goal of the police then (getting you to do the speed limit) is met with or without an actual cop. (I'm ignoring revenue as a goal for this argument only.)

Radical muslims chop off a few heads and suddenly the entirety of the West bows to their demands. No war, no invasion. We just quit.

And they win.

26 Any politician who even thinks to call this something other than what it is, is a disgrace to their office at best or brain-dead at worse.

At either rate, they don't belong in office. If they can't or won't identify an enemy, they can't be trusted to defend the population against it.

Which brings up another point: why can't they acknowledge what an enemy even is? They have security forces for themselves, so they do recognize the personal danger. But for the rest of the populace, nothing? I can't believe they're that stupid.

It's past time for some real retaliation. Unless and until that occurs, they can look forward to more attacks.

If these idiot Muslims can't tolerate western values like free speech and freedom of religion, then they need to keep their backwards asses in their own shithole countries.

BTW, ever notice how it's perfectly okay for Muslims to claim that Jesus Christ was not the son of God (just a prophet), and thereby attack the most fundamental belief of Christianity, and yet it's not okay for any non-Muslim to express any belief that is in any way critical of Islam?

Apparently in Muslim-world, "respect" is a one-way street when it comes to religion. Just something to keep in mind when you hear Muslim apologists like Christiane Amanpour pontificating about how these French humorists "insulted" and "provoked" Islam. Muslims "insult" and "provoke" Christians daily by disparaging our beliefs, and yet nobody is suggesting that we have the right to murder them.

104 This is why I never understood Colonialism getting such a bad name.

Sometimes, it's better to take control and establish certain institutions, laws, expectations and education so that primitive ways are eliminated in one or two generations.

Judging by the results of previous experiments in colonialism, the people benefitted from the action. The only argument against it has to do with preserving the native culture and traditions.

Perhaps it's time to take a fresh look at the global empire.

146 The solution to this problem is easy, difficult politically, due to the overwhelming Marxist dominance of the elites.

The solution:
--ban all Muslims from coming to America, for any reason. The only exception would be diplomats.
--begin deporting all non-citizen Muslims.
--close all Mosques built with foreign money or support, including Saudi Arabia.
--close all Mosques with Imams who have foreign connections, including Saudi Arabia.
--explicitly pass national laws banning the use of Sharia law and/or principles.

Unfortunately not a one of these things will be done. And several decades down the road large sections of the country will be ruled by Sharia law.

Funny thing about that statement of Obama's: how is it unacceptable for any non-muslim to slander Muhammad, yet it's perfectly okay for muslims to slander Jesus Christ?

Muslims routinely say that Jesus Christ was not the son of God, but merely a prophet. Belief in Jesus' divine nature is the most fundamental tenet of Christianity -- and yet muslims routinely slander Christian beliefs with impunity.

I wish somebody would question Obama or some other "religious tolerance" expert, like Christiane Amanpour, about this troubling double standard.

OPEC proves that the oil market is NOT a Free Market.

Congress has the power to put Excise taxes on imports and exports.

Get Mexico, and Canada... and create a North American oil treaty.... Tax the shit out of energy imports and exports who are not in that group.

Set Oil and Nat Gas prices to a reasonable amount.... say $65 a barrel WITHIN it... so oil and gas drilling is reasonably profitable, without either the windfall profits of the past, OR the price swings we are seeing.

Between Canada, Mexico, and the US... we would be energy independent... and this would stop allowing energy to be used as a weapon against us.... AND stop it from funding our enemies.

285 Sadly, attacks like these are the only thing which are going to work in bringing the Eurozone to the realization that Islam is their mortal enemy.

I don't think that even this attack will be enough to change the status quo. However, if the MuzTards are truly stoopid enough to launch similar attacks on a coordinated basis, in several E.U. nations..... then perhaps the pasty Europeans will begin to press for change.

Don't look for E.U. governments to lead the way. The pushback will start as pure revenge/vigilantism, and grow from there. Governments will be running a catch-up, "me too" operation, at least initially.

But, when European governments quake in fear of the fury of their rightful citizens, and not the MuzTard invaders, then sit back and pop the corn.

A New Crusade would be quite something to see. Especially one where a bunch of European nations, Russia, China, India and who knows, maybe even the U.S. decide they've had enough actual terrorism for this and the next ten generations.

At the end of which, hell yes, Colonialism, all the way. But, follow the British model, replete with imposing education, law, courts, social decency and other key elements of a functioning civilization. Don't follow the Dutch model, which was truly cruel and exploitive, and didn't impart much in the way of development to the colonized.

And raze every mosque in the conquered MuzTard countries. We outlawed Shintoism, we can outlaw an even worse "religion".

It's all very doable. It won't happen till there's one or more 9/11 scale events on the European continent.

That's my inflation-devalued $0.000002 worth.

286 The reason I love this site is because any minute now Ann Theriault will show up and defend herself.

287 Did anybody ever look into the possibility that the problem is islam? That might be a good idea.

Yes, the president of Egypt. Who I give about a month before he ends up on the steps of some building a bullet riddled corpse with his head severed. By those peace loving folks wrapped in black sheets and totin automatic semi machine gun rifles that you can buy everywhere in America.

289 FOX Business just had a pic of Boehner kissing Pelosi in the cheek.

See?!? Rape Culture, right there in the US Congress! Did he ask first, and get her "yes" in writing?

She has enough booze breath of her own to tolerate his. It's a mutually beneficial embrace.

290 These killers act as if they have had military training. I bet in France "diversity" is their most important value too.

292 My thoughts are with the French people after the violence today.
My thoughts are with French Muslims, who will bear the fallout of this act.

That goes beyond denial. That is a form of mental illness.

293 "Get Mexico, and Canada... and create a North American oil treaty...."

Canada's part of the Commonwealth and Mexico is xenophobic socialist about its oil. Plus the US public has made clear it doesn't mind a President who repudiates agreements. So it probably won't happen this decade at least.

294 What fallout?

I wish there would *be* some fallout - at least a few harsh words, anyway.

296 It looks like Annie 'Le Tres Grande Snoot Enourmous' Theriault is getting what her skank ass requires, attention.

And not the 'What is that ginormous thing on your face between your eyes' attention that's she's used to. This is the [i[good kind, that lets everybody know how she's oppressed by the white man too!

Pathetic.

297 . The Democrat party was the party of the South and conservative as shit.

Posted by: Nip Sip at January 07, 2015 11:11 AM (0FSuD)

Democrat Wilson (originally from Virginia) was a conservative?

Republican Coolidge (from Vermont) was a liberal?

298 Ah, yes! That fear of the "inevitable backlash" that SURELY will happen, because Muslims just, y'know, face SOOOOOOO much violence from those hateful Europeans!

...Any minute now...

...Yep...

300 "My thoughts are with French Muslims, who will bear the fallout of this act."

My thoughts are with non-muslims, who will be called islamofascists because of it.

305 So tired of Islamic radicals. They destroy every country they touch. They are destroying Europe, and Europe is soooo stupid to be letting so many of these radical nut cases into their countries! Europeans aren't having babies, and they are not passing on their culture to anyone. In order to solve the demographic decline, they think they can fix it by bringing in tons and tons of people from cultures that despise liberal democracy. We are watching Europe die a slow and painful death. When will the people wake up!
