Thursday Overnight Open Thread - November 5, 2026

Bleeding-Kansas-flag-rev.jpg

Howdy Hordelings, and welcome to the Thursday ONT! Open thread, as always. On time, as always. What's on YOUR mind tonight?

***

Post-election Mini-rant

Call me a conspiracy theorist and make fun of my tin foil hat. But I refuse to believe anything about the 2026 mid-term elections - except probably Florida - was anywhere close to what we've been told. The math just aint mathing, as the expression goes.

This is even more difficult to believe than Biden's 81 million votes. There is just no way. And with few exceptions, vote totals were determined on election night!

I truly hope the rumors of Trump having some master 8-D chess move up his sleeve are true. Something about Executive Orders and Hegseth mobilizing troops of some sort. Supposedly being intentionally quiet and vague but ready to unleash some kind of kraken. Maybe I spend too much time on X, and maybe I'm naive. Maybe this will turn out just like 2020 and "nothing will happen". Maybe. Probably. But I will hold out hope that SOMETHING will be done to expose the massive amount of election shenanigans that continue to occur cycle after cycle. This is 3rd world, banana republic stuff. It HAS to end some way, somehow.

Anyway - that's all I have for you tonight. Call me whatever you want. I refuse to accept the results as legitimate.

Mini-rant over.

11 i'm not saying it's fraud, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably NOT a hippopotamus....

but it won't matter to the quislings in the GOP. they'll counsel PDJT to wait and it's not the time and we shouldn't do it and then join the commies to 'protect our precious democracy'....

Posted by: SturmToddler at November 05, 2026 10:06 PM (3PgqR)

12 Nah.

I hadn't focused on the fraud possibilities (outside the obvious usual suspects like Wayne County MI).

But I'd love to see a pattern analysis by a true election expert, especially comparisons to the past 5 "wave" elections and probably all elections for 40 years.

In WI, in 2020, a no-name political consultant, who'd done WI elections for years, pointed out the extreme anomalies in voting patterns. Obvious suspect reason for that. But that's what I'd like to see for this cycle, nationally.

Even I know it's highly, highly anomalous for "shift" patterns to look like this.

29 We need proof if there was foul play.

Otherwise, we are being sore losers. The Republicans didn’t do shit for us with majorities. The Iran war. The Epstein files. High prices.

Even though Trump won on closing the border, we lost because it was framed as being “mean and heartless.” Not to mention racist.

HOW DID THEY CHEAT? Show me the forensic evidence. Otherwise we need to do better.

And if it WAS a cheat, wtf were we not prepared? Are the Dems that smart and sneaky? Do we not have techie guys smart enough to be looking for every manner of shit? Why did we not expect every manner of cheat? Did they invent some new technology?

Or did folks just get pissed. I’m pissed. I didn’t vote for democrats. But I’m pissed.

31 Unfortunately, there's no real way to prove the cheat other than statistical improbabilities.

In the meantime, we are proper f**ked for at least a decade, maybe more, as the whole we've been put in is vast.

And the counting isn't finished yet, we may lose a couple of more senators and perhaps a dozen more reps.

But I doubt any midterm has seen a *40%* increase in votes for one party in consecutive mid-terms.

But all these numbers are available. Election nerds can do the historical numbers easily.

The donks are cheating, they have cheated my whole life they brag about cheating. I grew up in the ghetto well "suburban ghetto" but ghetto nonetheless, they played organizing games there even in the 80s....they marched us kids and used us as door hangers on state welfare money under Dick Dick Celeste in the 80s....that is Mayberry by modern standards.

Hell remember Joe the Plumber....that was down the road in Dayton where a Montgomery County Courts worker misused the system to drop dime on him.....they are "stopping Hitler" the courts including the conservative SCotUS people are allowing the antics for whatever reason.

None of this stops until the judges are cowed into calling balls and strikes or absent that the donks are forced into the batters box.

Not all counties went blue, but every outcome had a higher percentage of blue votes. Hypothetical e.g., a district that voted 60% republican in 2024 voted 55% republican in 2026. So the "blues" might have lost in some areas, but not by as much as they did before.

50 There are 3 governorships for grabs next year.

Posted by: GOP at November 05, 2026 10:18 PM (AKptf)

51 Maybe everyone got fooled by the immigration enforcement and deportations, and the new DOJ and talk of election monitors and all that, and thought fraud wouldn't be a thing this time. And then the narrative fed into how unpopular certain things were, and then voila, it all happened just like that, and everyone just said, yep, and shuffled away.

If the Democrats cheated before, didn't really get caught or punished, why would they stop? It's not the whole reason for the election results, but it was certainly part of it. And a part of the color revolution to come.

Biden's Presidential win also broke every single pattern for the usual Republican/Democrat pendulum as regards bellwether counties, etc.

The extra 20,000,000 Democrat voters for the mid-terms coming out for to vote against high gas prices compared to their comparably lower turn-out when the "Orange Nazi" was on the ballot is also quite stinky.

63 "I think their side will fuck it up."

Well not sure what that even means for Dems. Their "base" is enormous, nationally, and almost entirely robotic and tribal. Performance, personality, totally irrelevant (look at the outlandishly bad candidates who won, some massively, this week - it's jaw-dropping). Only party ID.

The Dems in Congress will be unable to do much of import, if anything, given Trump's veto pen. So no actual thing will have their name on it.

This will make precisely zero difference in 2 years in terms of Dem turnout. Simply irrelevant. Remember Trump is in the WH only because of "Trump only" voters, infrequent voters, who provided his margins in several places, including states where no GOP prez candidate has won in *40* years.

68 I don't believe that shift blue chart. Now it's true more Democrats showed up to vote this election but that doesn't mean they shifted the states.
Alabama replaced a Republican US Senator with another Republican. Of the US House of Reps. Alabama has 7 Reps and 5 of the 7 are Republicans. Our retired Governor was replaced with a Republican. Not as many Republicans showed up to vote but enough did to keep our state in Republican hands. I know, I was one of them.🙂

69 Yeah, I suspect this is a new steal by the DNC, they're a bit more subtle compared to 2020, they've adapted and found new ways to rig elections.

I don't see anyone contesting or suing or even shouting. Especially no one in the GOPe. So it seems like the Uniparty strikes again.

70 Thank you Doof for excellent content, as always, but I hesitate to put much faith in the fraud angle. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. If there is fraud someday they'll get overconfident and sloppy and expose it themselves. For now I rate its likelihood on par with stories of alien corpses on ice at Wright-Patterson or Area 51.

For myself and mine, I'm just glad Prop 40 seems to have failed, for now. Not that I'm some secret billionaire, I'm not. But there was provision in the fine print for the legislature to lower the threshold to whatever they wanted. Just like the income tax was only supposed to be a few percent levied only on the very rich. We see how that turned out....

Then, using lawfare to bring down the existing system... with the 'right' people in the Legal profession to 'create' the new system.

Since we have 2 years before the next elections, we should spend the 1st 6 months *purging* those who pretended to be on "our" side that weren't.

Let's start with Thune. I don't want him out of Republican leadership. I want him out of the Republican party. Let him caucus with the Dems--at least we'd all know where we stand.

It is not your choice. The Republican senatorial caucus nominates the minority leader and they will chose Thune because he looks out for their interests, not ours.

78 Evening.

Looking at the Twatter propaganda (and it is) they're kvetching that all those counties "shifted" (and that word is doing a lot of work) blue.

In Texas, Abbott still came out ahead in majority of counties except for the cities, Deep South Texas and a handful in West Texas. Looking at the image there you'd think all those counties voted majority blue. Pretty misleading.

Even if the GOP did want to do anything, the progs heavily invested in infesting the justice system and court rooms to stop attempts to hold anyone accountable

But it will definitley prompt a ton of people to pile up more arms. Been saying it since mid 2016, there is no voting your way out of this.

That NO county voted more Repub as a percentage than the last election.

Posted by: Romeo13 at November 05, 2026 10:28 PM (mP0Kj)

90 I'm hearing that the chart with 100% of those counties going blue is not accurate, but there are still huge problems with the vote totals. GOP won some house seats in Louisiana for example, though maybe the chart means the shift was big toward Dems, even if the Dem lost, idk.

And yes, the extra 20M Dem votes seem to match the 20M (fake) Biden votes of 2020. These guys hid in their basements, or came out as terrorists or other deviants, yet we are to believe they got landslides even in red places? A good strategy to hide and hope Orange Man Bad carries them to victory I suppose, but numbers still don't work, imo.

How they did it? Postal workers , ballot stuffers, machine manipulation .... and more?

Oregon’s population has grown only modestly since 2020 (roughly +0.7–0.9%, or about 30,000–36,000 people), while voter registrations have increased more substantially (about +5%, or roughly 150,000+ active registrants).

All of Oregon's population growth came from international immigrants, which didn't stop voter registrations from increasing significantly.

Odd.

And no GOP figure alive seems like to be able to win MI and WI (possibly PA). Trump's unique political profile and traction with non-college whites doesn't seem present in any of them. Remember these states were the archstones of the "blue wall" that made a GOP candidate's hill so tough to climb for 4 decades.

Everyone seems to ignore that it's 2 years away, and that's 2 more years for Trump's major projects to begin bearing more fruit. All of them are working, but it takes time. The ridiculous hysteria about current conditions and trends is amazing but likely can't survive a clearly growing economy, energy prices returning to their earlier path (declining, thanks to production), even better employment numbers, and a secure border + 2 more years of deportations (and hopefully action against employers, where the effect will dwarf what we've seen).

So decent odds the atmosphere in 2028 will be quite good. All the other challenges nonetheless remain.

ballot curing. pulling votes from prisons. usb chain of custody hijinks with fake vote dumps. dumps of fake physical ballots (on video from 2020). scanning stacks of ballots multiple times or fresh out of the chinese airmail package (both are on film from 2020)

A lot of this is facilitated by horrendously compromised voter registration. PA in 2020 had several hundred thousand fake voters on-roll, all registered in batches of 30-50k at the same dates spread across 30 years. They were all fake, and helped produce PA's hundreds of thousands of fake votes.

2018, 2022, and 2024 all featured blatant cheating as well.

Only in 2020 and 2026 did they pull the stops out. Cutting their corrupt NGO funding pipeline has made them desperate for 2026, and they thought they had the brass ring after 2020 but flubbed it hard in the 2024 general.

They were drowned in a blue wave, and there isn't really much of anything that they could have done to be competitive in this environment.

There's a lot of mythmaking when it comes to candidate quality and performance. Take Cruz. He took enormous shit for running a terrible campaign by squeaking by O'Rourke in the 2018 midterm by 2.5 points. Especially given that he crushed his opponent by almost 16 points in 2012. But in both elections, Cruz's vote total was near the same (4,440,137 in 2012 and 4,260,553 in 201.

Our opponents get a say in elections too. Sometimes we do perfectly well and still lose.

139 @93. I know what the chart is about and did not say anything about the counties. It's a chart about total state votes. I said the Republicans did not show up as much as the last election but that did not cost us in the Senate or House of Reps or our Governor. I am just referring to the state of Alabama.
What went on in other states may be a different story.

140 The extra 20 mil votes was bullshit in 2020 and it's even more obvious bullshit in 2026.

Especially when you only see complaints about busted machines and long lines in red areas. The blue precincts with the extra votes didn't strain under the load becuse they load didn't exist.

Watch, you will see precincts with more votes than potential voters again, just like 2020.

But I will forever believe the fraud was more.extensive than the anger over...say...gas prices. And this corruption is driven by money. I don't think people have a clue just how much money is thrown at the 535 people who sit in the House and Senate, or at the deep staters who reside full time inside the Beltway. What changed was turnout. Overall voter turnout in Texas was down somewhat from 2024. But…

“The biggest swings to Democrats came from majority-Hispanic counties in South Texas and along the border that went heavily for President Donald Trump in 2024, with Starr, Zapata, Maverick, Hidalgo and Webb counties each shifting upwards of 38 points toward Democrats.

Turnout surged by more than 8 percentage points in the state’s 16 border counties compared with the 2022 elections.”

The numbers say to me that spurred by immigration policies, the Hispanic/Latino voting block just woke up and took over the State Government.

195 Apropos to this thread, I set my hair on fire today. Was doing some welding on the underside of a big riding mower. Lying on an old quilt spread on the ground. A hot spark landed on the quilt beneath the back of my head. "Hey! My brain is getting warm!" Get up, bat out the burning hair, blow out the fire in the quilt. I did not lose much hair; using two mirrors, I can barely make out a thin patch.

It gets better. Got the loose engine properly bolted down, fixed a couple of other things, fired up the mower, and went for a ride around the yard, so I could adjust the stop on the hydro drive lever so that goes straight ahead with both tillers pushed fully forward. Done! Drive back close to the shop. "Damn, that engine must be plum wore out. Smokin' like a mofo!" I was engulfed in blue smoke. Oh, wait! The engine is on fire. I grabbed an air hose and blowgun, and blew the fire out. A wad of oil-soaked grass clippings had lodged on one of the exhaust header pipes, and caught fire. No damage done. I sure didn't want to waste a fire extinguisher on such a tiny fire.

216 NC had an interesting 2026 election result.

The General Assembly flipped to the Dems by a significant margin.

The State Senate remained firmly Republican, but lost its supermajority.

King Roy Cooper whipped Whatley quite easily.

But. All three state constitutional amendment proposals passed by a landslide - Tougher Voter ID - including a Voter ID requirement for submitting a mail-in ballot, a lower state income tax rate cap, and a property tax levy limit.

NC Dems fought hard for no vote for all three amendments and lost bigly.

So there's that.

Elon Musk simply ought to buy Cuba. He has enough money. Just go have a sit-down with the remaining Commies, and make them an offer they can't refuse. Set up a puppet President, and an "advisory" Legislature, and run it like a fiefdom. Employ some of the locals in SpaceX ventures. Revitalize the sugar plantations. Sell little ranchos and beach homes to conservative Americans. I think he could make it into the jewel of the Caribbean, like it used to be. And the Cuban people would be vastly better off.

The Dems' war on fossil fuels was so intense that it has taken more than 2 years of DJT's second term to rebuild refining capacity for diesel and gasoline. Add in the elimination for renewable energy subsidies and the relaxation of CAFE standards and the resulting demand for ICE-powered vehicles. Then came the supply dislocation in the Persian Gulf.

Two years wasn't enough time to meet market stability.

Ironically, in Texas at least, this is what proved the shift was real and was NOT fraud. Texas counties do their counting themselves, and send in the vote totals. For this to have been fraud would have required 254 separate but coordinated fraud operations, one in each county, even the most conservative ones.

Fraud would have looked like massive margins in the 5 high population counties, but the other 249 voting rather predictably. That’s not what happened.
For any who’ve forgotten - Hispanic/latino voters are 32% of total voters now, and I don’t think there’s a single county left without a significant number.

257 I was an election inspector in Wisconsin on Tuesday. We handed out a record number of ballots, more than in the presidential election of 2024. Each one was handed to a person who presented a state-authorized photo ID. In our municipality, early voting was below 2024, but election-day voting was much higher. And the results, at least when I reviewed the tape at the poll I worked, were that we got killed, The few ballots I saw as we were shutting down confirmed that. Neighborhoods that went for Trump in 2024 went strongly D. This wasn't electronic fraud or foreign interference: it was the Democrats doing a hell of job on GOTV. Yes, the media coverage did a lot to set the tone for the election; but where I live, at least, we simply got outworked.

Without a provocation that set off the Spanish Civil War, which in today's America would be the assassination of the President and Melania, we are swinging after the ball is in the catcher's mitt.

The GOP base was betrayed by the GOPe leadership and whoever holds their leash. Thune and others were the enablers.

A Civil War would be 40-50 million dead. Hair mussed. Like to avoid that.

The Epstein File comment. No scandal, even revealed in detail, will stop what happened. The Insiders have decided, and the stenographers in the Media will see nothing happens.

A severe enough provocation to stop what is happening is not a good path, with big negative consequences.

Posted by: LRob in OK at November 05, 2026 10:10 PM (47diA)

Because we are retarded.

Also, because an airplane has to fly to all the remote villages, which may have 10 or 12 votes each, to collect that ballots because nobody is going to pay to have a Dominion machine in those villages, and apparently it is too much trouble to either photocopy the ballots and send them electronically or total them up by hand and send in the results. Also, ranked choice voting, which is rank indeed. So, even once the votes are counted, they need to be ranked by the secret algorithm that determines whose spoiled vote goes to whom, and then the democrats all win.

Pretty much that.

318 What states use what electronic voting machines? I know what Georgia uses, and it’s easy to cheat with those. As I recall, the votes in 2020 were routed overseas for counting, or at least that was the contention. How do we know it was even Americans counting the vote? Does any state use real paper ballots. Georgia claims to, but it’s a lie: nothing on the ballot that you can read counts as your vote. The QR code has what you voted for, but you can’t read it. You can’t photograph your ballot either: it’s against the law. Somebody photographed it anyway in 2020, but still couldn’t read the QR code: it’s encrypted! Want to bet how often what you voted matches what’s in the QR code? You don’t know, and they don’t want you to know!

328 I don't blame anyone for not trusting a politician. Or a federal judge for that matter. One of the reasons I like Trump is that he is not a professional politician. He is a business man who I believe loves our country. Politics is a dirty business, he knows that but at least he tries to do what's best for the country. The man does not have to do this, he could be enjoying life but feels like he should do what he can for his country. We are lucky to have someone who cares like he does.

329 Maybe we just "got our asses kicked" but maybe not.

Grok looked at some of those numbers and said the odds were one in a trillion of that happening. Not that I've examined those statistics, but sure, it easier to just say "We lost, MAGA is dead, our hopes for America are over".

Just like in 2020, those that protested got charged with felony parading, or the like. We know they always cheat, and surely would cheat even more with illegals allowed to vote and every effort to stop that contested and protected by leftist activist judges (even the SCOTUS).

But take out the illegals and all the fraud, imo MAGA is still the winning ticket (with voters, not DC). Did they really convince that many "Hispanics" to go tribal and flip back from their distain for the cartels and drug/human trafficking? I don't think so, and some 50 pound heads need to look into the statistics.

Second, Trump should announce the indictment of Brennan with reference to the Epstein documents

348 Quick vote, should I shave my balls?

Just trim the hair. If you *shave* them you'll be... uh... extra itchy while the hair grows back. Not worth it!

It was mostly Labour, Globalists, and Donks with retard Tories and GOP the problem is the western intel business and Mossad were involved and some very serious people who *swearsies* are non-partisan all swear to Trump and others that full disclosure would destroy the security and law enforcement of the contributing nations so we cannot reveal it in detail.

I KNOW Trump is not in it or it would have leaked......I personally would have preferred full disclosure because I have turned on the Westphalian model and think it is the last hedge counter-intuitively against the globalists....
