Election Day News

Jonathan Turley:

Marc Elias is back. The notorious Democratic lawyer who played a critical role in the 2016 Russia hoax is again in the news. His law firm has been identified by the New York Times as part of the expanding scandal involving Democratic effort to confuse voters in Alaska with a decoy candidate named Daniel J. Sullivan.

For those familiar with Elias's checkered history, this is a case of rounding up the usual suspects.

The scandal involving Democratic candidate Mary Peltola has quickly snowballed this week. A New York Times blockbuster investigative report quotes former staff who claim she knew of a cynical effort by her own campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to confuse voters by recruiting and fielding a decoy "Dan Sullivan" candidate in the race against incumbent Sen. Daniel S. Sullivan (R-Alaska). State and federal investigations are now unfolding, with dozens of federal subpoenas raining down on Alaska.

The effort to get voters to cast mistaken ballots is grossly unethical and, even in these rage-filled times, a uniquely disgraceful scheme. Peltola and the Democratic Party had long denied any involvement in the other Sullivan's candidacy. So when the Times produced evidence that she allegedly knew, and that Democratic staffers and lawyers had been deeply involved from the beginning, many of us were surprised -- that is, until the name "Marc Elias" emerged. Then it made more sense.

The Elias Law Group was already in the news this election cycle for threatening reporters with defamation lawsuits if they kept asking questions about the health of former Gov. Roy Cooper, the Democratic nominee for Senate in North Carolina. Earlier, Elias caused a stir during an unsuccessful Democratic gerrymandering effort, raising the idea that Democratic leaders could abolish the entire Virginia government after courts blocked their attempted radical redistricting plan.

The fact that figures such as Peltola and Cooper wanted to be associated with any law firm headed by Elias is itself an indictment of their judgment and standards.

Despite his losses in cases such as National Republican Senatorial Committee v. Federal Election Commission, Elias is still a favorite of many on the left thanks to his aggression and partisan fervor. The controversies that make him notorious to many make him popular with others.

UNREAL: Ballots in key battleground Westchester, NY aren't fitting into scanners, and the Dem County Exec says he has "no idea" why!

HOCHUL'S "WRONG SIZE PAPER" EXCUSE: WESTCHESTER'S MACHINES BREAK ON THE ONE DAY MOST REPUBLICANS VOTE!

Ballot scanners at polling sites across Westchester County have been rejecting ballots since the polls opened at 6 AM. Westchester has about 1 million residents and roughly 680,000 registered voters.

That includes about 132,000 registered Republicans, 7,400 Conservatives, and 186,000 voters who aren't enrolled in any party.

County Executive Ken Jenkins called it a "county-wide issue at all of the polling locations."

The Board of Elections blamed the "thickness" of the paper, then quietly took that word out.

Governor Hochul says it could be the "wrong size paper" and could take hours to fix.

Here's why this matters: Democrats tend to vote early and by mail. Republicans show up on Election Day. So when the machines break on Election Day, the people stuck in long lines and delays are mostly Republican voters.

Some will have to get back to work.

Some will give up and go home.

Every one of them is a vote that didn't get cast.

All of this is happening with Governor Hochul on the ballot and the Lawler race on the line.

That's a very convenient coincidence for Democrats.

Westchester, don't let them win by wearing you out. Stay in line, fill out your ballot, and make sure it goes into the orange emergency bag.

NEW: Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announces new prosecutions of non-citizens accused of voting illegally, including an Uzbek national in Wyoming who falsely attested to be a US citizen & voted, but was caught after the state began participating in the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) program to cross reference voter rolls against DHS databases.

The Uzbek man, Maksim Shakirov, has now pleaded guilty to voting as an alien and is scheduled to be sentenced in January.

HSI is also announcing the arrest of a Dominican non-citizen woman, Rosanny Fabre Villa, for illegally voting in Pennsylvania in the 2024 election, as well as the sentencing of a French national, Eliezer Kadoch, who pleaded guilty to illegally voting in the 2020, 2022, and 2024 elections in New Jersey. Feds say he also falsely claimed in a 2023 application for US citizenship that he had never voted or claimed US citizenship. He will now have to perform 50 hours of community service, pay a $1,000 fine, and be on probation for one year.

🚨 NEW: A Kansas polling place RAN OUT of ballots this morning after the county delivered only 10 PERCENT of the ballots needed

By 8am, voters were being TURNED AWAY. It took over an HOUR AND A HALF for more ballots to be delivered.

How does this even happen?!

Is this good?

I have minute snapshots from Florida Election Day 2024.

As of the latest data pull, we are exceeding same-snapshot margins compared to 2024 - literal Presidential turnout on a midterms.

And it's accelerating - in one ten minute pull, we pulled ahead of 2024 by 5,000 votes.

An incredible last-minute turnaround in Florida. This is the kind of performance we need to sustain across the country.

Go vote!

Benny Johnson
@bennyjohnson
Are you sitting down?

Republicans are currently showing signs of PRESIDENTIAL-LEVEL midterms turnout already on Election Day

Scott Presler reveals data from across the country showing incredible early results.

Republicans are set to flip Broward county in Florida from blue to red.

Montgomery County, Texas is BEATING Presidential level turnout this morning.

Lines are out the door at the polls in Wisconsin.

Democrats in Pennsylvania are leaving some 120,000 ballots on the table.

Republicans are showing up on Election Day.

Supposedly, polls predicted a 22 point Democrat blowout in Guam.

Instead, the Republican won narrowly:

"Daniel" wrote: Guam flipped. Hank Johnson vindicated.

All the media is pumping out the same Color Revolution propaganda: Don't be surprised if 3am sudden ballot drops in blue cities swing every close election.

It's perfectly normal, you see! No reason for suspicion at all!

A Minneapolis poll worker wears a Charlie Kirk assassination shirt with blood around the neck. Her shirt reads "PROBLEM SOLVED."

This is a threat to Republican voters.

Arrest her.

The ruling that this overturns was going to be the legal protection of election officials in the 9th circuit knowingly breaking the law because of how they do things.

Now, with that order overturned, they can be prosecuted for unknowingly breaking the law because of how statute like HAVA is written.

=======

So, my OH, TX, and ME bets I'll just wait to cash out because those will be wins.

The NC bet I want to believe but can't fully, so I put in an sell order below $1.00 that I'm hoping gets hit once people realize that the race is closer than the polls say. So, when the odds shift, I sell, and I make a profit.

The makeup of the Senate, I have three competing bets (52, 53, and 54 Senate seats), so I can't win all of them, so I put sell orders on all three (the higher sell orders on the one I'm most confident on, the 53).

So, if this is like I think it'll be, I should just make money on all of them, even if all of my bets don't completely pay out.

Again, less than $100. Not exactly betting the farm, here.

228 The comparison is dead on. In fact, it was Pelosi who cleared the way for the rats to abandon the ship last week (or weekend) when she threw the terrorist under the bus. I'm at a loss to understand why so many on our side seem so desperate to make Stevens a hero. She opposed MAGA and conservatives at every turn.

I don't care what she opposes or doesn't. She's not on the ballot. She did something that could theoretically help our side. She deserves credit for that and nothing more. I don't think I've seen anyone here trying to lionize her, but giving credit where it's due is okay, imho.

I like it. It's like when I first started watching anime. You watch normal western media, and you're rarely surprised...you usually see where things are headed, jokes are coming, etc. Start watching foreign media (like anime) and suddenly you're being surprised. The unexpected (or inexplicable) occurs.

You go into a Lefty thread, have expectations for how dumb and clueless it'll be...and they always manage to surprise me.

Rural Kansas is very Republican., but the six biggest cities in Kansas are filled with Leftist voters.

Out of the 2.8 million Kansans, 80% live in urban areas. The six million cows, mostly Angus, get no vote. This is why President Trump was in Kansas. He was in Dem strongholds.

FWIW, the State AG, Kris Kobach, has been and is on top of voter fraud.

Hopefully they're jumping from a sinking ship but it's Michigan, and if/when he loses they'll have really pissed off the DSA lovers. Pelosi probably doesn't need to care but Butt probably still has higher office aspirations.

280 Sort of O/T...South Brevard County in FL, heavily deep RED county, received 22" of rain in 18hrs. Heavily flooded huge areas with much flood damage to homes, businesses and cars. Unreal.

We lived on a barrier island in that county. Once received 21" of rain in 24hrs from a tropical storm. It was raining like a giant fire hose.

Flash flooding was what many woke to and it's a huge mess today in a large area with many rescues. I've seen less damage from hurricanes.

There's no way for some people to leave their homes as rescue is limited. Much less vote, which is something no one is concerned about there today.

The CNN exit poll shows that 39 percent of voters view the economy as the top issue facing the US.

Democracy was the second most important issue with 32 percent, followed by immigration with 14 percent.

Crime was the least relevant major issue in the 2026 midterm election with only three percent. (well, duh ! Trump got crime down to nothing by getting rid of criminals nation wide!)

Trump was campaigning pretty heavily on economy this cycle. He knew which end is up.
