I am also not willing to get too excited - but the trends are moving very strongly in only one direction. The normal cheat centers are under DOJ watch. I guess the only thing we could get sideswiped by is if EV has changed significantly as an indicator from the last few cycles - nothing in politics is stagnant - or if there is still a way to get massive mail in votes inserted when the eyes are much sharper. Because it looks like it is going to have to be massive mail ins to make up the growing distance.

Well, there was a story yesterday about how ballot harvesting operations have 40% budget shortfalls, so that sort of thing is part of it.

The other is genuine black turnout issues. Boomer blacks are the most loyal, and they're dying. Younger generations vote at far lower rates. Blacks have also been shafted more than once in the Democrat primaries this year in very public fashion, mostly with Crockett in TX, and I assume it's having a knock on effect across the national black community telling them to check out because the D party doesn't appreciate them.

Also, several years of the D party publicly making it clear that illegals and Muslims are more important now.

They're not turning R. They're just checking out.
