a student brought a "Happy Kirkiversary" cake to school which led to her being posted by student Rylie Barnes. Barnes is the VP of the U of U College Republicans club. Since this post, the student has been doxxed, threatened, harassed at her family home, and is unable to come to campus for the next couple of weeks.
Someone might want to let those doing the doxxing know that “Disclosure of personal information with intent to cause electronic communication harassment” is (up to) a state felony.
For criminal liability it might be harder more so because the jury would likely be Republican more than anything else, but harassment at a minimum is definitely happening (and was likely a goal).
Rylie Barnes didn’t dox her. The person with the cake will have to just live with the consequences unless she can find a person who acted with intent.

One thing I found instructive was comparing him and Shapiro.
Shapiro would "literally" destroy whoever he was taking with and come across as an asshole.
Kirk would point out they were wrong but in what seemed a more constructive way that might get them actually thinking about it afterwards instead of just hating him.

In any event, Utah has a current squishy GOPe Republican governor, and then the Democrats managed to capture the judiciary somehow. That's how we got, via court order, a Democrat seat that no one voted for. So our legislature just packed the Utah Supreme Court, literally. To try to reform the place.
The University of Utah is far left, man. The college Democrats were trying to (it has been revealed) use this "doxxing" to ban the College Republicans. Hence the likely "forgiveness" statement from the College Republicans: they are trying to soothe some troubled waters since they also have been doxxed.

I do think she is hard left and misguided, because up until this point, that has made her fit it with a crowd, and the majority of young people (not all) want this acceptance. This may be the first time she has felt a few very ugly consequences for her behaviors. Charlie Kirk had an amazing gift in his ability to connect without belittling. Social pressure used to work in urging kids back to normal morality because deviation was punished and morality was rewarded.
