That he is shifting to a more Texas-friendly stance tells me that he isn't winning. Lying to get elected certainly isn't reserved fro Democrats. The corporate wing of the Republican Party has embraced lying for generations! Run as a conservative, then vote in Congress as a squishy accomodationist who is willing to subvert the will of the voters for financial gain. Cornyn did it for years, and the fact that Texas finally got tired of his sh*t is a signal that MAGA sensibilities are becoming more popular. What surprises me is that the Texas Democrat Party didn't dig up a moderate Democrat who could run on the archaic but successful principles that convinced America that Democrats represented the everyman. It's not true, and has never been true, but it worked for a long time, and my bet is that it would have worked in Texas against Paxton, who has shown very little skill at campaigning and communicating his platform. But the Democrat Party has been overwhelmed by the insanity of transsexualism, DEI, Critical Race Theory, overt socialism, rejection of traditional America, and a host of other sophomoric but dangerous themes. So a traditional Democrat won't get much traction. The new Democrat Party is saying the quiet part out loud, and hopefully America is listening.

Final Democrat Senate Primary polling had Abdul winning by double digits. He won by a single point. Nobody will ever know the impact the polls had on how many people decided not to vote but it seems likely that more than a few sat out the race thinking it was going to be a blowout.
Ignore the polls. They are designed to influence the race not report on it. Look at what's happening on the ground. Every time I try to watch a video on youtube a Talarico ad pops up begging for money.

Husted even with Brown - pure toss up
Tafoya down by 3 against Uber Karen, wins by .2

This is a misreading, I think. It's a relic of a different media environment.
Polling is somewhere between honest mistakes (response rate bias) and just outright fraud, with a shocking amount just being fraud by this point.
The electorate does not shift materially over a few months, especially not a few weeks. What happens is that progressives just are more enthused about...answering pollster phonecalls and sticking through the whole survey (many pollsters don't use responses if the respondent doesn't complete the survey all the way).
If the primary polling is any indication, we may be looking at one of the worst polling misses in the last 20 years. Polling firms are simply not getting the white working class voters at all, and they're not correcting for it.

Apparently though, Microsoft signed a legally enforceable agreement giving the Randi Weingarten teacher's union oversight of AI safety and privacy standards. I assume if AI takes over teaching, they will still have their claws in it. And will help shape WHAT AI teaches kids, and it won't be benign.

Our committed partisans who obsess over politics are as numerous as theirs.
The 24/7/365 news environment is just a place where there's always going to be enough people on every side of the aisle to answer polls, to fill out the 300-400 responses a polling firm needs to cover our side.

A lot of things in that book makes a whole lotta sense when viewed through the lens of technology.
No one buys or sells unless they have the mark can only happen when the world is so interconnected, that there is no privacy whatsoever, unless you go totally off grid, and even then, one risks being found.
IMHO, AI development kinda has to happen.

MN seems to be getting dragged down because of the Somali fraud stench which seems to be over the party, so we'll see.
And NH has been always a bridesmaid and never a bride at the federal level for the GOP for a while now.
The GOP's spending advantage is allowing them to put decent money into the cheaper markets there which should coincide with some GOTV efforts. So, we'll see.

The NC campaign kicked off in high gear last night with Trump doing a rally in the state with Whatley.
I've seen majority negative Cooper ads so far (and exclusively anti-Cooper mailers despite me being a registered Independent and Dolley being a registered Democrat in the state).
But, the real kickoff was last night, alongside news over the last week of PACs and other groups throwing in some solid money into the state pro-Whatley and con-Cooper.
Cooper himself is saying it's a 1-3 point race.

Was in an experimental system in junior high, programmed learning. Student goes through material at his/her own pace, takes a 'quiz' at the end of a lesson, a 'test' at the end of a chapter. In algebra, about 6 weeks into the term, one of the teachers who was supposed to be 'just answering questions' gathered the ones who hadn't got far enough and put them into a standard classroom. She added more as time went by and about 40% of the class was sitting in front of her by the end of the school year. The district ended the experiment the next year.

It would entertain me greatly if the GOP held onto NC and picked off some number of MI, GA, NH, and MN.
No one is really investing in GA on the GOP side for senate now, but that may be because the GOP candidate for governor is spending $90 million of his own money on his own race.

Government at every level is wildly overfunded.
My metric is if your state has the funds for a squirrel killing assualt team you could knock your state budget by 90% with no impact visible to normies, I guess outside of their pets not getting murdered.

Myself and multiple co-workers have been trying to find employment elsewhere with no luck.
I have applied for jobs I am definitely qualified for and never even received a "piss off" response.
I'm hearing a lot of it in general here.
Also noticed the wages being offered are down
People seemed to think Trump would magically restore food prices, gas, etc. to what they were before Biden sent them into orbit.
That it hasn't happened will cause a loss in support from the LIVs.
