DOJ Charges 19 Defendants in Philadelphia Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Scheme

Our government budget is 90% fraud.

The specific fraud type is yet again a Democrat creation. The Democrats wanted to pay people for "home health care" -- basically a non-medical-professional person dropping by someone's house and getting paid for it.

It turns out that in 96% of the cases being charged here for fraud, the exact illness the "patients" were supposedly being treated for is "illness unspecified."

Yeah I'll bet it's unspecified.

Why? Because if you're defrauding the government, it's easier to say "I don't know why I'm sick" then get an actual diagnosis from a doctor.

Not that you can't pay a corrupt doctor to submit phony diagnoses. That's a cornerstone of this industry the left has created to steal money from actual workers.

But an actual illness could be expected to heal at some point, or kill the "patient," and it's just easier to claim you have some unknown, unidentifiable malady, who knows what it could be. All you know for sure is that you need the government to pay your husband $50,000 to "care" for you.

DOJ charges 19 defendants in alleged $4 million Philadelphia Medicare and Medicaid fraud scheme

In one case, a Medicaid recipient filed claims for extensive home health assistance while also working as a carpenter, prosecutors said.

Federal and Pennsylvania authorities charged 19 defendants who are accused of participating in a $4 million scheme involving Medicare and Medicaid claims.

Among the defendants are home health care company owners, their employees and Medicaid recipients, Fox News reported.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave on Sunday announced a plea agreement involving a defendant in a separate case in which 21 people were charged with fraud involving more than $1.7 million in claims.

The defendants are alleged to have billed Medicaid for home health services while they were incarcerated, hospitalized, working other jobs or traveling overseas. In one case, a Medicaid recipient filed claims for extensive home health assistance while also working as a carpenter, prosecutors said.

Other defendants are alleged to have submitted overlapping or impossible work hours, such as care that exceeded 24 hours in a single day.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. In a massive revelation of fraud in Pennsylvania, Dr. Oz just confirmed that over 96% PERCENT of personal care claims are "illness unspecified..."

...which makes them UNTRACKABLE

The average payments per beneficiary: "More than $50,000. Think about that. PER PERSON. FAR above what's expected."

"Over 96% of personal care claims here are 'illness unspecified.' That's how they're titled, so we can't track them....can't possibly find the fraud because people aren't telling us what they're doing!"

"All of this points to FRAUD."

@17QStorm

🚨96% OF PENNSYLVANIA'S PERSONAL CARE CLAIMS ARE LITERALLY UNTRACKABLE

Dr. Oz just dropped the hammer live.

Over 96% of the claims are coded "illness unspecified." No diagnosis. No details. Nothing the system can audit.

Average payout per beneficiary: more than $50,000. Far above anything that makes sense.

He said it straight: "That's how they're titled, so we can't track them... can't possibly find the fraud because people aren't telling us what they're doing."

"All of this points to FRAUD."

This is how the machine loots taxpayers in broad daylight -- hide the illness, cash the check, repeat.

Trump's CMS is finally shining the light. The swamp hates it.

Apparently the code for "unspecified illness" is to be used only when there is some unidentifiable complication that comes with an actual identifiable illness, and they're doing tests to find out what the other complaint might be.

It's not a permanent diagnosis. It means "we're working on it."

But fraudsters are using the code as the main, final diagnosis:

Salt ✟ Light
@SaltandLight70

The ICD-10 code R69 illness unspecified should never be used as a principle diagnosis. It is used in conjunction with the primary symptom code, with R69 as add on for diagnosis unclear at the time of clinical evaluation, additional testing, consultation or workup pending. So just reject payment for all bills using R69 as principle diagnosis.

A portion of the funds are removed internationally, then show up back in the DNC coffers via distribution centers like ActBlue. The bulk amount is cut down into small amounts not requiring FEC discretion, all the while the DNC crows about their "grass roots support."

Biden appropriated $47 Billion (thats with a "B") to these type services while simultaneously taking down oversight mechanisms.

AND, btw...you might be interested to know that despite ActBlue's attention by the DOJ, they are reporting record funding and it's business as usual.

161 An interesting note on the TX Senate poll released this morning showing Talarico up by 2 over Paxton.

It has Talarico losing to Paxton by 13 points among white voters. Also Abbott winning by only 20.

That's pretty bad for Texas.

In fact, it would be absolutely horrendous. Like, historically awful. Like, hasn't happened in decades awful.

When Cruz beat Beto in 2018, Cruz beat Beto by 34 points in the white vote, and that was a close end result.

Summer polling is shit because no one grades the pollsters on their summer polls. There's no incentive to be accurate at all.

Polls are there for one reason and one only. To sway the voting public in a direction they want them to go.

MOST polls are incredibly inaccurate, even on election DAY.

179 My solution --- crowdsource auditing.

Every hour of claimed compensation must be on webcam. Visiting home healthcare, parents caring for disabled child, special needs instruction at schools, etc. Use AI to anonymize and hide faces and private as required. Every penny of federal money gets a case number and video feed.

Then give reward for any fraud found by random public who only have a case number and access to video feed.

Some pollsters are just always shit (but within the margin of error so still totes accurate, guys!).

But summer polling, even an attempt at honest summer polling, is beset by massive response bias issues and the fact that it's just harder to reach people in rural environments than urban ones. So, they trend to the left.

It's not that the populace suddenly gets more Republican in September/October. It's that Republicans start answering the phone.

190 My philosphy on polls is that the only real important ones are on issues, so a politician knows what "face" to wear when campaigning there. Carville (as much as I hate to admit it) was an absolute master at it.

Polls on races are unimportant....or at least, were unimportant. In today's world I think their primary purpose is to legitimatize fraud. Keep it close in the polls, even though it isn't...even show the wrong guy leading...then capitalize on that with fraud on election day (which lasts well over a month sometimes).

227 Linus -- not unpopular at all.

I think there are two problems --

1. Everyone wants to be special, and the easiest way to do that is to be a "victim". In my culture, being bipolar or neurodivergent, or flawed in any way is a sign of weakness. Never show weakness or you are a fag. What is wrong with people today?

2. People want someone to make their lives easy and fair. Life is neither. All growth comes from distress and pain and finding strength. Everything, from racism, to feminism to the sickos on youtube is explained by people just not accepting that life is not fair and so they must get over it. "Gov. has to pay me to take care of my own child," etc.

I had this discussion in the 80s about "how come there were so many great blind musicians, and where did they go?" Well, they were musicians because they had to eat, and where they went is we started paying them to sit on their asses. Imagine what we are losing by not forcing people to find their own greatness. But that would also mean a lot of people would suffer.

Aw fuck it. I problably sound like an ass, but it is 3;00 am so just ignore me.

So, too many people in too much control... and fraud...

It's also putting a spotlight on whether these programs should even be there at all.

Even if these are 100% legit, I dont think the feds have any reason to be funding Somalian day cares.

245 "illness unspecified"

Yea, I'll bet. An easy way to uncover fraud in these cases is to just see which claims are for "illness unspecified."

Why would there be no illness specified for a legit claim? There wouldn't be. There's no reason to hide the nature of the illness unless the whole thing is a smelly fraud.

Sounds like they should have set off the forest fires some time ago...

Controlled burn and get rid of unexploded ordinance.

A lot of that would be underground and would get plowed up/eroded out gradually over time. This would not be changed by fire.

249 Doc Watson was blind since birth. The state of NC had programs and schools for the blind, to try and get them gainful employment. He was a radio repairman for a little while, and auto mechanic. He was skilled, he re-wired his mountain home, and it even passed code. His wife got a little frightened when he started doing roofing work.

He was very gratified when he could make money playing guitar, on his own, and not be dependent on others.

250 Use Brave, and then ad the extension uBlock Origin. Basically no ads, even on YouTube.

Chrome is going to fight ad blocking software and extensions because that's like 90% of their revenue. So it will work for a while and then they kill it.

Firefox has sucked for a good decade imo.

When I am using the internet without adblockers, I dont know how people do it.

252 golly, so I could have billed medicaid for taking care of my dad while also staying at my full-time WFH job. I never would have thought to try that rube that I am and I sure didn't want to pause my regular job but the stars aligned for me. Work was good with folks WFH during the period my dad needed some non professional care and his care didn't take but up to a few hours a day at most.

264 Well my dad didn't have a specified illness. He was just old. He had type 2 diabetes, which may have contributed to his age making him too weak to get around w/o a walker and being prone to falls even with the walker, but he had been a OTR truck driver with diabetes for decades only having to take some pills to increase his insulin production or whatever to keep the blood sugar somewhat controlled.

There were many blind musicians. Besides Stevey Wonder and Ray Charles,

Blind Lemon Jefferson
Blind Willie Mcgee
Blind Willie Mctell
Blind Wilie Johnson...
(just off top of my head.)

Mostly blues, and mostly from the South. I guess they had fewer option.

He is my brother, I promised my parents that I would take care of him, without any financial compensation. He has been in an Alzheimer's facility for about four months now.
