There's a straight line between Biden's HHS making rule changes to the Child Care and Development Fund and this type of fraud.
His changes include: Making payments based on enrollment rather than verified attendance. Requiring payments before services were delivered or attendance verified. Favoring guaranteed contracts/slots over parent vouchers. These changes didn't start the fraud, but they opened the gates wide for fraudsters to have ghost clients and still get paid. This is the thing that people refuse to understand
Most cultures around the world, with the exception of bits of the West, it is not immoral or wrong or in any way considered bad to steal from those outside your tribe. In some cultures (islam, india, and africa) it is a *virtue* to steal from outsiders. This is ingrained in them from birth. It is in their mythology, the wisdom of their elders, their peers, and their religions. They can not change. This is not to say they are "bad" people, or that it is genetic. It is their culture. It is incompatible. If we accept them (in numbers greater than say, 5% in any one neighborhood) then we become them. Even in low numbers they prey on outsiders. The only solution is mass deportation. We are doomed, no.wonder the debt is more than we will ever get out of
——- Look up “Odious debt” when you get bored sometime. Anyhoo, the debt was never intended or going to be paid off. It doesn’t work that way with governments, and most especially, with a phony baloney currency they conjure out of thin air. What governments MUST do, however, is make timely interest payments on existing debt. When they cannot, when they don’t, it is GAME OVER. Check out the percentage of revenues or spending on the interest on the debt. This is why interest rates can never be raised to any meaningful realistic level. There would not be enough money to service the Pentagon or Social Security or HUD or USDA or hardly anything. Governments default on debt by diluting the currency, generally speaking. Politically it is much more palatable (for them). That’s why you see the more brain-dead politicians suggesting direct cash payments to offset monetary inflation. Yes they really are that stupid. Basically the government can save the dollar, or they can save the markets. But they can’t save both. No chance. Posted by: Common Tater at July 10, 2026 04:37 PM (aPpm9) 59

However, I'd rather have average tenured of 4-years senators cycling out because they stole $10,000 or paid $5,000 for the seat (well, 2026, so add three zeroes to both of those) rather than the perpetual tenants in the senate seats who can avoid their comeuppance because 6 years is a long time for the people to remember shitty behavior.

What really bothers me is the monolithic MSM corruption that defines itself by its absolute, resolute defense of the Democratic Party no matter how venal and debauched its politicians prove to be. A great deal of this looting and pillaging of the country's treasury might be mitigated if the Corporate Media acted on behalf of the taxpayers' interests instead of acting as the shields and bucklers for the looters. @137 the Trump NY criminal cases are all still on appeal. I practiced law in NYS for over 25 years and no appeal has ever been this long for a decision. The NY courts are a mess

They also had to extend the statue of limitations and claim it was somehow in furtherance of a federal felony iirc.
Posted by: Red Turban Someguy at July 10, 2026 05:02 PM (okun6) It's worse than that. It had to be in furtherance of another crime which, in turn, had to be in furtherance of another crime. What was that initial crime, you might ask... According to the judge's instructions to the jury... whatever you think it might be. You don't have to agree or ever discuss it. And yet... appeals courts have not overturned it. Up until a few years ago at least, there were a couple American Injuns who had a Henry Repeater and a cache of .44 Rimfire their ancestors had appropriated from a poor hapless Federal somewhere out West. Every once in a while their heirs would take it out and pop off a few rounds.
.44 rimfire is pretty much Unobtanium and has been for a long, long time. I think somebody like Winchester last made a special run of it in the 1930s, but that isn’t in good supply either. Posted by: Common Tater at July 10, 2026 05:08 PM (sZDR4) 169

I've been trying to figure that out for over a year. You can come here and sell drugs, kidnap, rape, and murder, and we . . . send you home? I think our laws should automatically give harsher punishments and fewer legal guarantees for people here illegally. Why can't we just hang them? ——- Not even narrowing it down to a particular year. The template for the brave new world is partly drawn from college campuses. The accused are not allowed an attorney. Anonymous charges. Struggle sessions. Expulsion based on he said she said. Sound familiar? My favorite (so far) was a hapless dorm resident. He had a room mate. His room mate in turn had a girlfriend. Said girlfriend gave him a blow job one evening. Whilst he was passed out drunk, having not provided consent (stop laughing!) nor solicitation and has no recollection of the event. But, about 6 months later the free lance fellatrix decided she was the victim in this exchange. The poor guy was expelled. No defense allowed, no right of rebuttal or appeal. 51> Even pilfered money gets wasted beyond comprehension
I think a lot of it gets dumped into the market, either in the form of rental real-estate or stocks and bonds. Of course, hundreds of millions ends up in jewelry, travel and high-end luxury cars. To such an extent that I wonder, as the fraudsters are being busted and their assets liquidated to cover the restitution and fines, how is that going to effect car, mansion and luxury item prices and vendors of such. Is Congress going to create bail-out funds to underwrite the drop off in foreign destination tourism? Will private jet rental market tumble? @grok , did the prosecution show a video of Robinson shooting the rifle in court today? **Yes.** In today's preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson (accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk), prosecutors presented high-quality rooftop surveillance video showing him accessing the perch and moving/crouching near the edge at the exact time of the shot. Zooms highlighted his position consistent with firing. Viewed in court by family and public (no public stream). Adds to DNA, ballistics, and confession evidence. Strong week for prosecution. Next hearing Sept 1. Posted by: KT at July 10, 2026 05:38 PM (rdeQO) 186

Navy Says Beards Are a Safety Risk, Gives Sailors 1 Year to Shave
After twelve months, if the Sailor is still unable to shave and the condition is marked as "unmanageable", this will firmly place them in a "separation due to failure to comply with grooming standards" scenario. Anyone who refuses outright, rather than one who tries treatment and fails, is handled differently, as a military justice matter. A safety argument has ensued around facial hair, with the service saying it can break the seal on the masks that keep a crew breathing through fire or gas. Behind this argument sits a study the Navy has kept close to the vest. Posted by: SMOD at July 10, 2026 06:35 PM (IrKJc) 189
