With the Iranian conflict still unresolved and the alleged ceasefire all but vaporized along with a few more ships in the Strait of Hormuz and ground targets in Iran itself, the Mullahs nevertheless remain in power, and as such a threat not just to the stability and peace of the region but an existential threat to civilization itself.

That’s their ticket to Paradise.Whether President Trump understands this he for sure understood the madness of ignoring and worse the Obama/Biden aiding and abetting of allowing Iran to obtain a nuclear weapons arsenal, the pornographic fiction and propaganda of the JCPOA notwithstanding, and so we along with Israel at least for the time being have put a halt if not an end to that. With that in mind, this story from last week makes zero sense:

That Turkey is still in NATO is the height of insanity. Unless and until Erdogan and his party are removed from power they will be an existential threat to the security of the region perhaps as serious as Iran. And while they'll hold onto those F-35s the risk of him selling one off to the Red Chinese cannot be discounted. And yet for the President to go forward with this deal is madness. He's either clueless or being ill-advised. I would hope folks like Hegseth and Rubio have his ear and are not the ones encouraging this. As for Rubio, on the plus side, there's this:

Fewer than half of Americans think capitalism is working — and support for democracy and patriotism has tanked in the last decade thanks to the nation’s pessimistic youth, according to a sobering new poll.
As the nation turned 250 years old, only 48% of Americans believe that capitalism is working well in the US, compared to 60% who said so a decade ago, according to a survey released Wednesday by the Wall Street Journal and the National Opinion Research Center.
Just over half (51%) of those surveyed said American capitalism was working not too well or not at all well, the study showed. The same study found just 12% of Americans believe democracy is working extremely or very well in the US, compared to a staggering 56% who said it is working not very well or not at all well.
Many of those who answered also felt that the American Dream, tying together democracy and capitalism, is further out of reach than ever before.
Just over a third (35%) of respondents said that the American Dream — that if you work hard, you’ll get ahead — still holds true, down from 53% in 2012.

I think part of the "Deal" issue with Iran is that the Democrats were pounding the desks, calling it an "Illegal War", demanding Trump end it, and raising the spectre of the War Powers act. So, 60 days to fight Iran, before the Democrats would gum up the works. Lawsuits, impeachment, etc. So the deal was the exit strategy.
But the Iranians, like the commies, aren't good partners. They'll take what you offer, smile, then stab you the back because they got what they wanted.

My personal observation of a Chinese Chemical Corp student in my research group is one data point. She was a fraud with fraudulent high test scores. Could not make even 3 M hydrochloric acid. She was corrupted by the TV show Married with Children. She bombed out of the program.

Even when we sell to our friends, they don't get top-of-the-line stuff. The F-16s we sell to Israel, for example, aren't always equipped with the latest and greatest.

Cruz is one of my Senators, and I think he does that job well. I also supported his 2016 run, but I realize he’ll never play well on the national stage, and should stick to Texas.

My kids got me a digital frame as a present. Setting it up, it asks for all sorts of personal information so it "can build a profile". I don't want a profile, I don't want to tell it anything, all I want is for it to perform its most minimal function of displaying photographs.

Additionally, all four adults (The two Grandparents and two parents) were also recipients of county benefits. The mother also had a set of twin girls not too long ago that died shortly after birth. It's my personal opinion that the adults do not possess a complete set of genes even if you add all four sets together. Which maybe has already been done is you know what I mean and I think you do. . .

What I've noticed since 2016 is an increasing divide in voting patterns between White College and White Non-College, especially among women. White Non-College outnumbers White College by 2x. White Non-College is already over 70% and has little room to grow. White Non-College has been growing and is now over 50%.
Mitt Romney (and Hillary) dismissed White Non-College as Deplorables and not worth the bother.
