Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 6/ 16 /26Good morning kids. Once again we'll focus in on tyranny both at home and abroad but perhaps not in the places we expect, or sadly in places we are not necessarily surprised if not disgusted by. And away we go... Newly obtained memos show that the US Department of Justice (DOJ), under former [so-called quote-unquote]These are parents that spoke up about transsexualism and the homosexual perversion as well as other anti-AMerican propaganda in the curriculum being forced on their children. Ironically, had it not been for the lockdown where parents could see in real-time how their kids were being brainwashed and abused, perhaps they might not have known what the hell was going on in the schools that their tax dollars fund. So for the crime against humanity of them raising their voices in protest, they were to be targeted for termination. I have reported in the very recent past about efforts in California for the state to forcibly remove children from their parents if the latter refuse to allow their children to have sex change mutilations. Besides parents, the Biden/Obama Junta also targeted Christians for termination, specifically but not exclusively those who dared hold prayer vigils outside of abortion abattoirs along with those who defied the lockdowns by holding religious services seemingly away from prying eyes. And we all know the fate that befell those who dared showed up to the Capitol on January 6th 2021 to legally and peacefully protest the stolen national election. Hundreds were hounded, persecuted and even imprisoned while having their lives destroyed, and in the cases of Ashli Babbitt and Roseanne Boyland taken and martyred And if they can't find a legitimate group to transmogrify into dangerous violent Nazis, they create the m out of whole cloth, moslty khaki in this case... At least that’s what the Department of Justice’s superseding indictment against the SPLC alleges. The organization secretly paid informants to engage in the active promotion and funding of racist groups while denouncing and “fighting” the very same groups in public. The SPLC purportedly created fictitious entities to hide funding from their donors. The SPLC, for instance, is accused of bankrolling the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, paying a leader nearly $300,000 to post racist messages, organize and even transport people to the infamous Charlottesville protest, where one person was killed. In another instance, a pair of white supremacists who approached the SPLC about leaving the Klan were encouraged to stay in the group and recruit new members. Given salaries, the two men were allegedly reimbursed for the costs of their activities, including those “incurred for cross-burning events, to include the wood and fuel used.” In the end, I’m not sure what the legal jeopardy there is in engaging in this brand of duplicitous activity, but it is without a doubt corrupt, fraudulent, immoral and bad for the country. With all of that to boil the blood, let's kick up the burner and turn it into live steam! Senate Majority Leader John Thune, (R-SD,) said Monday that Senate Republicans are moving forward with plans to renew a key federal surveillance authority as a stand-alone measure, despite President Donald Trump’s insistence that it be tied to election legislation. Thune told reporters the Senate is working to revive Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which expired over the weekend after Congress failed to extend it before a deadline. “We will try and move 702 as soon as we feel like we have the votes to do it,” Thune said. The Senate majority leader said lawmakers are counting votes and intend to bring the measure to the floor once sufficient support exists.Yes, completely unsurprising but again not exactly shocking. The duplicitousness of the GOP is even more disgusting than the naked tyranny and lust for absolute power of the Democrat/Left. Yes, let's give the latter the wherewithal to use and abuse an already corrupt intelligence and law enforcement apparatus that is supposed to defend our freedoms and security the legal cover and legitimacy to target ordinary citizens and groups as if they were threats to national security. Democrats in office as bitter experience has shown us will do exactly this and get away with it because the agencies in question are embedded with fellow travelers who seek the transmogrification of America as founded into yet another failed socialist state where they are in absolute charge, forever. Naturally, as President Trump has done, or attempted to do in fits and starts, is go after the people and groups that are the real threats to America as founded and we the people of We The People. For that of course he is literally Hitler that must be stopped by any and every means necessary. The Deep State under Brennan, Comey and Clapper have failed along with Malig-Nancy Pelosi in several failed Shampeachments. Of Course Hack Hakeem and the aforementioned will try yet again if we lose control of Congress in the midterms. GOD FORBID. Meh, with Republicans like Thune, we're screwed no matter what. The GOP has got be utterly demolished and a party that actually represents us and that recognizes the threat of Anti-American leftism/socialism and ISLAM and is willing to go to the mattresses to defeat them must rise from the ashes of the GOP if America is to reach 300, let alone 251... Almost forgot, about that Tyranny Abroad, no not China, which is horrifying, but considering all the aforementioned in one of the cradles of Western Civilization, Britain that was once formerly Great A Secret UK Gov Unit Has Been Planting Lies About Terrorism in the Media 'You can see their fingerprints all over the statements released by the families of victims"Considering the preternatural anti-Western bent of the media as it is, this seems like gilding the lily. Like a Deep blue shithole thinking they might need to steal an election after winning them outright for generations... Have a great day,

Regarding that VDH article on California and critical mass… even Fareed Zakaria (of all people!) says CA is a case study in failed one-party governance. And yet… I predict Hilton gets blown away by the total nothing Becerra in November.
When your election system is totally rigged and broken you can’t get outcomes that reflect the will of the voters. I don’t know how to fix…. Well... that's the case when one, specific, party gains total control. The other party tends toward the extremes of fecklessness but doesn't get completely out of hand since their voters, unlike the voters for that other, specific, party are slightly more willing to rid themselves of politicians. They damn sure don't understand the Constitution.
-- Just thinking about the abject dumba$$es that are elected to office all across this nation, and in particular, on the federal level, is enough to leave me waking up in a cold sweat of fear. There are some painfully stupid idiots in elected office. I'd say most. It would be a hoot to have them all undergo 1) a civics exam and 2) an IQ test. >>Is the real goal here to put in place a middle east peace plan through mutual trade and exchange that doesn't require the US to be the mediator?
I think that's exactly the goal. Trump is a big believer in the idea that countries that do business together are less likely to fight. He always focuses on economic benefits for good behavior and big bombs for bad behavior. Nobody trusts the mullahs. The lie and cheat as a matter of course. But without a much larger war likely with ground troops and "nation building" to follow I've yet to hear anyone come up with a solid alternative to making a deal with them that can be monitored and preventing them from ever getting a nuke. Perfect outcome, of course not. It's the Middle East. But removing Iran as an imminent threat isn't an awful outcome. Posted by: JackStraw at June 16, 2026 08:05 AM (viF8m) 86

I wrote this in the tech thread:
==== Trump really should reacquaint himself with the exchange between US Grant and Simon Bolivar Buckner at Donelson… No terms except unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted. I propose to move immediately upon your works. — US Grant An interesting postscript is that Nathan Bedford Forrest was there but refused to surrender. He just left with his men and got away. We need to find the Iranian Buckner… but there will also be Forrest’s in the IRGC Posted by: LinusVanPelt at June 16, 2026 08:09 AM (+gA9j) 91
I still like JD Vance a lot. If I knew more where Rubio stood out from underneath Trump's administration, I'd be happy with him, too. He has a very no-nonsense, serious demeanor that commands attention. There's no denying that. His past record on some issues left me less than happy, but he's been impressive under this administration.

I think we're going to see a surprise candidate emerge for 2028, a radical populist vowing to do what Trump left undone. Vance is going to try to thread the needle between MAGA and the establishment, and this isn't going to wash with the MAGA masses. Populism, once uncorked, can't be put back in the bottle.

I suppose the Iranian funds that have been "frozen" could be used to reconstitute Iran's petrochemical infrastructure, but I also suppose the IRGC could divert them to build more drones and missiles.
It'll be interesting to see how the mullahs react, if they react at all. Iran's future sort of depends on whether the country gets back into the oil business or the terrorism business. *flips coin* Posted by: Martini Farmer at June 16, 2026 08:19 AM (jehhT) 108

Maybe. But I reject the claim that this result is in any manner a win for Iran. The country is blown up, their economy is in a shambles, inflation is approaching Zimbabwe levels, they lost all of their navy and a substantial amount of the rest of their military capabilities and of course their nuclear program which has been a central obsession of theirs for decades. The can claim whatever they want and they always do but claiming this as a win for the mullahs is Black Knight levels of delusion. Posted by: JackStraw at June 16, 2026 08:23 AM (viF8m) 116

This. FWIW, there is, (at least in my circles) a sense of optimism, a perception that "things" are good. I'm with Ben Had. I'm just gonna sit back and see what the MoU says and let PDTS explain the goal before I make an opinion. If the Mullahs decide not to cooperate, I'd be OK with complete and total destruction of the IRGC, Hezbollah, and the oil production capability of Iran. If that requires 'boots on the ground' and all that entails, so be it. Posted by: CrotchetyOldJarhead at June 16, 2026 08:24 AM (3Ope8) 122
One thing is becoming obvious about the “deal” - Rubio will have nothing to do with it, and has very deliberately avoided making any remarks at all supporting it. This from the man who’s been the face of American foreign policy for a year and a half. That’s apparently why Vance is being sent to all the media appearances. He’s the only one backing it. Posted by: Tom Servo at June 16, 2026 07:31 AM (cx1bp) It's been clear for a year, Ratcliffe, Rubio and Hegseth on one side (because they know) and Vance (and maybe Witkoff and Kushner on the other, could be just for their contacts in the ME). Trump did what all executives do when some JR. pitches a "great idea". OK, you think its a great idea, now it's yours, make it happen! Posted by: runner at June 16, 2026 08:26 AM (GD0B3) 123

Posted by: Ben Had at June 16, 2026 08:24 AM (5P5DO) I admit I don’t know the details; only a broad summary. My objection is that any deal at all is worthless because the mullahs and the IRGC lies like they breathe. I think negotiating is an exercise in futility with these people Posted by: LinusVanPelt at June 16, 2026 08:26 AM (+gA9j) 124
