12 I thought Mondrian was more of a Modernist. Maybe he went that way later on.

This piece is very nice. Would hang.

138 This lawlessness of the judiciary is getting out of hand.

They really are fancying themselves as imperials, answerable to no one.

1) the Maryland Man is becoming an embarrassing debacle of a radical judiciary completely refusing to follow any law or rules, conjuring orders out of thin air with no basis in statute or precedent merely to obtain their preferred political outcome.

2) the NJ judiciary--usurping the power of the Executive--to appoint their own US Attorney, is bad enough.
That she is vowing to take office, despite being fired by her boss, is an obscene affront to the rule of law.

Both of these show a judiciary hell-bent on placing themselves above the Constitution, the laws and all other branches of government.

And I'll say it again: Never but never has the Democrat Party ever, ever fought as hard for American citizens as they have for illegal aliens.

The funny thing is that the focus on Garcia is so...empty.

Literally thousands a day are going. ICE gets 70-80% of those they pick up to sign waivers and get immediately deported. The rest go to detention facilities where they wait for whatever little IJ action necessary to deport them with final orders happens.

And those facilities seem to be reaching full capacity, all while more ICE agents and facilities are being trained and built because of the OBBB.

A "win" for Garcia with him walking free in the US masks the fact that thousands more are going every day.

It's narrative grasping while ceding the ground on actual policy results. And the narrative sucks.

I mean, there's no other outcome.

"Advise and consent" does not encompass "preventing the office from being filled via inaction or opposition."

I'm betting SOCTUS will say that, so long as there is a pending nomination before the Senate, the interim appointee can remain in office.

It's congressional apportionment, mostly. Some federal NY Democrat congresswomen admitted it in an interview in the last few days. "I need migrants for redistricting," essentially.

It should also be noted that the narrative of illegal immigration has become almost background noise in establishment press. The NYT didn't have a single immigration story on its front page yesterday.

When they want to push narrative, they flood the zone, everyday, finding new stories and new angles. Yesterday? Nothing.

I suspect it's because it's not actually working, combined with the fact that these orgs have the attention spans of hyperactive puppies.

It's by design.

If the Trump administration starts to treat the judicial coup as, you know, an actual coup the Democrats are going to have a field day claiming some sort of "constitutional crisis" that requires Trump be impeached. They'll twist the narrative from lawless judges to a lawless president.

Failing to goad the administration into action, they'll keep on pushing until the public has had enough and takes matters into their own hands. Thus giving the Democrats another reason to go after the administration as incompetent.

They want war. They think they'll win.

The scene itself is the point, i think. The more electoral politics looks like it's slipping away from their grasp, even with all their crooked bullshit, the more they're going to rely on whipping up a frenzy in a small core of radicals, and using the media to amplify the crazy and make normies start to panic.

Someone who is panicking is one of the easiest marks on the planet. The "I don't care just make it stop" reflex.

The freak-out is because they can't have the public get used to the idea that anyone can be deported.
Remember, this is the "camel's nose" Party--they've been using that tactic to great effect for decades.
And they know how tenuous their power is that it can't withstand the tactic against them.
It's why they are desperately trying to construct a narrative of the horrors upon innocents of deportation.
And ... it's not working.

No, I think they want a war because they are losing. War is the last desperate roll of the dice to come out on top. It was the same way in the ACW and for many of the same reasons--the planter-slave economy was going away for the South as cotton and other crops had already ruined the soil of the oldest colonies.

In the case of blue state/urban models, the money is gone--state, federal, etc. to pay for it. It is inexorable crushing debt that is going to curtail the ngo industry, gubmint state and local spending, and fed gov. They have destroyed their own economies and no one want that model in other states or localities.

Not to mention that the US government is still, most likely, involved in human trafficking. I think it will eventually come out that many of the "missing" children that were escorted to the border and then abandoned to the care of NGO's and the US Health and Human Services are, in fact, being trafficked in the US.

There has to be a legal component to this effort.

The dots are being connected. Slowly.

From a purely legal point of view I cannot see why a purported human trafficker like Garcia would be released unless there's risk for the judiciary involved in his case. Or, more likely, more "Orange Man Bad" rage. Or both.

Russian collusion worked so well as a narrative that they had to cook up covid and then shut down ballot counting in the middle of the night across six states to ballot box stuff like Tammany Hall to barely get Biden an electoral college victory.

The press's ability to create and maintain narratives isn't dead. With certain segments of the population it's very alive and strong.

But as a whole? It's much diminished.

Also, aren't we always told that 18 months is an eternity in politics? What does presidential approval, narrative, or generic congressional ballot questions have to do with an election a year and a half away? Most of the stray voltage floating around right now on that story is speculation. I am learning how much bullshit has attached to the story. For example, even some of the 'facts' reported such as Acosta claiming intel was protecting Epstein in the Palm Beach case are actually not statements by Acosta himself but rather hearsay alleging he made those statements during his confirmation hearings.

My guess is that Trump himself was an FBI 'asset' in that he was in the position to hear and see things, especially as he was sober while others were drunk/stoned around him and he floated about high society/high rollers. So he probably told FBI and law enforcement information he had overheard from time to time.

Education, retirement, health care.
Those last two exclusively benefit the elderly and are hugely expensive--and increasing.

Piet Mondrian

Interesting composition. The round end of the log or sail (?) is about dead center of the composition and fixates the eye there; there is never a sense of receding line that takes the eye deep into the image. After that comes the boat's A shaped riggings that are repeated as A shape spires. Lastly the clouds' chunky shape repeat the the shape of large mass shapes. If there is pull to depth it is in these two image clusters. This is executed with great skill. The serenity comes in the placid water, the boat at rest, and the fading light, minutes after sunset. The loose paint style adds a bit a indefinite gauze to the scene.

Would Hang.

It kind of seems like they're trying to make lemonade. Sure, there was that fustercluck at DOJ that's muddied the waters and looked embarrassing as hell... but what to do now? Panic, fire everyone and start over, and let that be The Story? Or embrace the FUD and harness the media's gullibility to go whole hog fixating on this preposterous garbage gossip story, while you run around ending wars and making trade deals and field-dressing a freshly killed Ivy League with nary a peep out of the normies over it all?

272 CBD, do people eat abalone? You don't hear of it, like you do scallops, or clams, or oysters?

Yes they do. An episode of Anthony Bourdain had them cracking them open on the boat and eating them.

275 Those of us who said, "don't go to the J6 rally, it's a trap" are also the ones who were saying, "the recent spike in interest in Epstein is a Dem op to attack only Trump."

But [buffs nails] some people refuse to listen and see what's right in front of them ...

I mean, FFS, assume 100% of the most salacious and vile allegations made about Epstein are true:
Do you really think the media is going to even mention one single Democrat was involved?

Ridiculous.

Facts:
We KNOW several Democrats went to his island.
And NONE of them are being talked about.
ONLY Trump and photos from 3+ decades ago.

>>Instead, we need video of kiddie diddling by powerful people from Epstein Island.

What we need to unpack is how a college dropout was recruited by a former OSS operative, who in his spare time, wrote novels about aliens abducting and sexually abusing people, to be a math teacher at a prestigious boarding school, gets fired, goes on to work the money laundering assets desk at Bear Stearns, gets fired, starts a company with the sole client being a notorious arms dealer, is somehow on a plane with a government bigshot taking meetings at the Pentagon, has billionaires signing over power of attorney and access to vast real estate and other assets, is whisking the elite of the elite on his jet to his r*pe island in the carribiean, gets indicted and prosecuted for charges that should have landed him in jail for a minimum of 20 years, somehow walks, is able to continue whatever he was doing for another decade until he was arrested, thrown in lockup and didn't kill himself in a jail run by the son of the man who gave him his first break.

That's a hell of a story right there.

Aren't they any intrepid former naval intelligence officers that can take up the cause?

Why yes, they DO! I first tasted abalone 'way back in the mid-'60s when I brought a date to a Chinese restaurant near Lake Pontchartrain. It was pricey, but dang!, was it worth it! I also learnt that, if you've brushed your teeth really really good before you eat it, it SQUEAKS when you chew it. Food with sound FX. What more can you ask ... ?

284 The Congressional GOP just not joining in on narrative du jour does so much to not keep the current thing in the news for more than a couple of cycles.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison

I think part of it is some people on the right think it might be true because they adopted the Q narrative of lizard people ruling us unconsciously. Others think the Deep State whether US CIA, Britain (MI-6), or Mossad did it. Some are opportunists (political or media trying to pose as protectors of yutes), butthurt Never Trumpers, and of course Democrats that are sure this time they'll get the Orange Man.

The timing of this story is explicitly a Dem op designed to deflect attention from the horrifying details that our Dems worked a massive coup op along with their Deep State pals for the entire Trump first term and then doubled down on it with lawfare designed to break Trump.

I think ultimately when the 'documents' are released, there will be a big letdown as it will be more like a paper blizzard, internal comms, names and id redacted, and so on. Just like the JFK files, the RFK files, and my guess the MLK files. Plenty of hints, vague mentionslike George Bush present in Dallas, etc.

285 Bender, you are wrong about the arms dealer bit. Epstein got his start managing Wexner's private affairs. Wexner owns Victoria Secrets, etc. but is not an arms dealer.

======
Right now, people make unsubstantiated claims because they can and because it involves sex--people are intrinsically more interested in it than boring old stories of a coup launched against a republic by its own officials. I can see why Dems like that narrative because otherwise they got nuttin but misery caused by their policies including sex trafficking on such a vast scale that dwarfs anything Epstein did.

>>Bender, you are wrong about the arms dealer bit. Epstein got his start managing Wexner's private affairs. Wexner owns Victoria Secrets, etc. but is not an arms dealer.

After leaving Bear Stearns, Epstein opened his own business, his first client was Adnan Kyshogi of Iran Contra fame, during the time frame of Iran Contra.

I hate to say this because I like you, you are simply not up to speed on the history of Epstein and should do more research.
